The Good Dish (2022)
Did They Just Say That?
They just aired a segment on what to do if a host of a dinner party tells you not to bring anything.... if the host basically says, "Thank you, but no". Unless I missed it, NONE of the three women on the show said you should respect the dinner host's wishes and just enjoy the food and friendship. What happened to "no means no"??? When you ask someone what you should bring or do and you ignore their answer or you do something that is a work around and send a gift certificate to the host the situation becomes about you and what you need or want. What should the show have advised? If you want to attend the event, accept the invitation and enjoy the dinner or event. Instead of sending a gift or gift certificate, send a thank you note.

Before I Go (2021)
Relatable and Very Enjoyable
My attention was caught at the very first screen when the quote from The Guest House was displayed, and I quickly settled in when she confronted the guy in the grocery store. This is a wonderful movie about life; how our perception of it affects how we respond in the world and the impact positive and negative words and actions have on those around us.
Marauders (2016)
Agree with Review Titled "Half Decent"
I just streamed this movie on Netflix. The plot was so convoluted that I am online to figure something out. It's almost as though there are two plots.
What Haunts Us (2018)
Heartbreaking
The previous positive reviews have expressed it very well.
Forgotten Tragedy: The Story of the St. Francis Dam (2018)
Very Interesting-Well Made
I agree with the other positive reviews/comments so I will not repeat them here. Following are my comments on two of the negative reviews: (1) I agree that the narrator did speak fast; however, this could have been intentional so the documentary with the black and white photos and the speed at which the narrator spoke were reflective of the movie industry at that time - silent movies that played quickly. If you have never watched a portion of a silent movie, clips are available on YouTube (2) The lack of photos and footage. This was probably due to the fact that his happened in 1928. Most people probably could not afford a camera and those that did were probably helping with the recovery, which took much longer than had it happened in today. Also, the description of the movie states, "newly-discovered film footage". While I do not know anything about producing a movie, this probably was a low budget film and possibly produced by individuals or a group that did not have the experience in producing documentaries like those that we are accustomed to seeing. This documentary was a tremendous success; I learned about a tragedy I had never heard of before, and I learned the probability of the terrible state of our country's entire infrastructure. This would be an excellent documentary to show to high school students, not only for it's historical significance but also to see the rise and fall of the lead engineer on the project.
