Interstellar (2014)

WTF: 9 in IMDb???

This movie was a mediocre compare to other sci-fi movies. The crew: Matthew McConaughey: he was talking like a farmer from Texas (he was first of all a great pilot)... a cowboy hat and a pair of boots were missing from the picture... Anne Hathaway: to sweet for a scientist who works in NASA... Only Michael Caine and the kids were alright (not great). Basics:The plot was OK BUT in some points to "romantic" and too much. I didn't like the END at all. The direction was OK but i think in 3D would have been better. Nice Special Effects!

I gave a 4 because of all the fuss about it... (if it wasn't so overrated i would have given a 6)

Alexander (2004)

One more time Americans ruin History

Like TROY, Alexander lacks of historic truth. The bad thing is that he was one of the greatest Leaders of history of mankind and he should be treated like one. If anybody studies a little bit of history he/she will see that homosexuality in ancient times was a part of every day life. Alexander wasn't a homosexual but probably a bi-sexual like everybody that days. For that, the film-makers -because of their need probably to gain the gay-community and of their lack of creativity and talent- shown during the whole film the love between Alexander and Ifaistionas... For that the film should be titled ¨Alexander and Ifaistionas: a fairytale of... great love¨. As far as the battles concerned, apart from the last battle in India (which had some good moments) it was poor. The scenario also was weak having in mind the true history of Alexander which was great and rich and difficult for these filmmakers to reach. As a historian and a Greek i was really disappointed.

Safe Sex (1999)

a really nice comedy

its a nice comedy, with every day characters that successfully show -with the needed portion of humor of course- the modern portrait of the Greek sex life in the city. One can recognize in the stories given, a personal ¨adventure¨ or a story of a friend. And because Greek society is becoming more and more ¨westernised¨ i think that most of the viewers from all over the western world can find the truth inside and can laugh with the smart script. If you like comedies you will enjoy it and if you have a respectable sense of humor you will find it better than most of the US trash that lacks of imagination and real humor. Its a good option for a cool Sunday evening with friends.
