Deep Water (2022)
'Deep Water' is an incredibly enjoyable MESS
For the briefest moment in Deep Water's increasingly ridiculous tonal massacre of a climax, there's a slight glimmer that something sort of unique may happen. However, the feeling is fleeting as the film's ending simply confirms what we've already assumed through the previous hour and a half; not only does Deep Water not have any idea what it wants to be, but director Adrian Lyne doesn't seem up to figuring it out himself. Instead, Lyne poses the question, "What if an erotic thriller was devoid of sexuality while also lacking any suspense whatsoever?" The jumbled and maddeningly awkward Deep Water is the answer and it's not something that's worth seeking out.
Plot points are introduced and dropped, characters are introduced and never show up again, Ana De Armas' accent changes in alternate scenes, and perhaps the biggest hit against an erotic thriller, it's decidedly unsexy.
The non-existent chemistry between Affleck and De Armas may or may not be intentional, and to give the pair credit, they try to make the material work.
A film of this incompetence almost rarely gets made at a studio level anymore, and in the era of Marvel films being committee-designed and afraid to make big gambles, films like 'Deep Water' should be cherished for the beautiful disasters that they are.
The Adam Project (2022)
Fun, heartwarming, sci-fi flick!
The Adam Project is easily one of the best film of the year, and the best Science Fiction movie that has been released in a very long time. Not only is the story completely captivating from the very start of the movie, it includes numerous elements from different genres that make it something for everyone. There is humor, heart, Science Fiction, time travel, nostalgia, important life lessons, a banging soundtrack, and way more action than I anticipated. Part drama, part comedy, part sci-fi, and all fun, The Adam Project is the must see movie of the year.
The Politician: Election Day (2020)
Fast, interesting and likeable
I like how the things ended, as Payton and the team will see another day to go all out for the vice presidential campaign. And I would like to see Hadassah and the Payton entourage working together. The only problem was they made it sound very easy.
As season 3 is going to be the last one, I hope they will hire equally interesting and talented cast for the opposition party.
Which by the way is gonna take some time to come out, apparently season 3 will take minimum of 2 years before any announcement as they want Ben Platt(Payton) a bit old.
Fun Fact : The FaceTime call between Georgina and Dede was shot in Pandemic.
And also they should've shown how Georgina won the presidential campaign, as she would be the 1st female President of USA.
This season was way better than the first one, and I hope it keeps on getting better.
The 100: The Blood of Sanctum (2019)
Good Finale! Bad Ending, at least for me.
First of all, the whole episode till the last usual 'cliffhanger' part of the finale was Awesome! This whole season has been interesting with great visual effects of the Alpha-Sanctum Planet, and most of all the story was balanced for every character except Marcus Kane, though it was sad to see him float away, it was a good send off, but they could've done better with his part.
So apparently Octavia willingly gets herself killed to go to the Anomaly-Stone Monster or she might be a host for it, why, we will get to know in next season. I honestly didn't liked this part, hopefully they won't screw the last season of this amazing show.
