Mars Express (2023)
8/10
Top quality Sci-Fi with great ideas.
18 May 2024
It's very cool when writers / directors have the guts to actually tell a proper adult science fiction story, and that's what's going on here. The story is intelligent, gripping and well paced.

The art design, settings and sounds are fantastic, believable and fairly original. This is a visually attractive cartoon in the style of a French graphic novel for mature audiences. So glad there are still people doing this kind of stuff. Mars Express reminds me a bit of Renaissance, the black and white cyberpunk thriller from the 2000s and this flick is just as good in it's own way.

Cool concepts, plot, script and acting. Over all great stuff. A really enjoyable Sci-Fi. :-)

Waste of Financial Resources to make this.
20 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
So i watch the first 15 minutes, okay it's carrying on from the 1st movie. Then the story moves to the moon Velt and there's like 1 hour of slow motion wheat farming. Hahaha.

Then after about 1 hour into the film. The Bad guys arrive. There is lots of stupid talking and then the final battle ensues and the good guys win. The end.

Lets summarize: 1) 15 minutes of back story exposition.

2) 1 hour of slow motion wheat farming.

3) Long drawn out battle - space facists vs farmers.

4) Farmers win. The end.

How did this film get funded and why?? What's wrong with these people making these films?? Hahaha.

Fallout (2024– )
8/10
Good show! It's funny and unique Sci-Fi!
18 April 2024
Fallout TV show is surprisingly good - a genuinely fun and well told post apocalypse story that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's got tons of style and is actually very funny. Had me laughing out loud on a good few occasions.

The story is jam packed with tons of great ideas, interesting sci-fi concepts and corporate / cold war politics. A variety of great characters and interesting factions. The sets and props and cinematography are fantastic! And of course the music is very charming and fun.

So yeah all round a really fun, funny and enjoyable rendition of the Fallout video game universe. I really enjoyed series 1 and am looking forward to season 2. I hope the level of quality on display here continues! Give it a watch! :-)

Ministry of Silly Desert Walks. Dune Part 2 is boring.
11 April 2024
So look, Dune Part 1 by Denis Vilneuve was pretty decent. I'd give that one a 7ish. But part 2 was really pretty boring and lacked all of the gravitas you had in the first movie.

Everyone in the movie is incredibly serious and every word they speak is extended by long close ups of their faces. It's really drab... And in the end I really didn't care about any of the characters. It was just scene after scene of people saying really serious stuff that ultimately is not believable or particularly deep.

The music is faux epic and sadly doesn't lend any particular weight to what's ultimately a decent story told in a very boring way.

I'd say the VFX is good - yeah... not bad. But the costumes and the battle scenes are also boring - like going through the motions.

The film has a few good moments, but an epic sci-fi masterpiece of our time this film is not. The silly desert walks are pretty funny though! XD haha.

Gassed Up (2023)
6/10
Not bad, not great. But fairly authentic.
1 April 2024
I'm a Londoner and have grown up in the east end. Growing up I knew teenagers into petty crime, and even some small time gangsters like those shown in the film. Gassed Up is a sort of believable portrait of that kind of culture in London, in the 2020s.

Honestly the depiction of London "Ghetto Culture" in this film is probably fairly close to reality, and in that respect the movie gets this aspect kind of right - London youth culture - but not 100% right, and it's not quite as believable as it would like to be.

Apart from that it's a fairly decent anti-crime film with a good message about not taking the wrong path. The story is interesting and watchable and the characters likeable enough to keep me watching.

Not a perfect film by far, but not a bad one either. Check it out if you're interested in London gang culture. But don't take it too seriously.

Honestly this fictional account was Good.
21 February 2024
I respect S Freud as an early but pioneering psychologist, and I very much admire C. S. Lewis as a humanist and fiction writer. Whether this meeting between Freud and Lewis really happened doesn't matter so much, I think. What matters is that it's a fascinating concept to imagine the two men debating science vs religion, and this film does a very decent job of portraying this discussion.

While I wouldn't go so far as to call this the most moving film I've ever seen - I think Shadowlands for example was far more moving and The Soul Keeper ( a film about Jung and his female patient ) was more intriguing - I did genuinely find Freud's Last Session to be philosophically poignant. The discussions between Freud and Lewis are intellectually sound and do ask those age old questions, such as if God is good, why is there suffering? A question I guess we all grapple with in one way or another.

This film did remind me a bit of In Lambeth the other play about a fictional meeting between Thomas Paine and William Blake which, while quite different, approached the two sides of a philosophical debate in a similarly genuine and interesting manner.

Ultimately, there is quite a good amount of wisdom and intellectual content in Freud's Last Session and for that I found it fun, mildly moving and worthwhile. The cinematography and acting are decent. If you like psychology, philosophy and films that are really just play's on screen, then I hope you'll enjoy this.

Pain Hustlers (2023)
8/10
Good film! Funny and way better than I expected.
8 January 2024
I went into Pain Hustlers expecting a cynical, slightly shallow and trashy, entertaining movie. What I got was the entertainment and a lot more besides. Pain Hustlers is actually a very funny, well told, moving and moral satire that's based on a true story of a corrupt Pharma company in America.

It's a blackish comedy for sure and it definitely had me laughing on multiple occasions. But that doesn't detract from the underlying serious subject matter of the story - the opioid epidemic in America and it's ultimate cause - greed.

Pain Hustlers also tells the moving story of a mother trying to look after a daughter with an illness that U. S. health insurance wont properly cover. The money factor of healthcare in America...

But yeah, overall this movie is awesome! Really fantastic acting from Emily Blunt - she nails the lead role completely and Chris Evans is funny and sincere. This is definitely a moral film about the absurdity of greed and the rules and laws humans are willing to break in order to make a lot of money.

An enjoyable and rewarding watch. Definitely see it for the morals, the tears, and the laughs!

The Creator (2023)
2/10
The Creator is basically pretty rubbish all things considered.
3 January 2024
The worst thing about The Creator is just that it's a bad story that is without any depth or significant meaning.

Humans make robots. Humans turn against robots. Lots of very flashy VFX and Sci-Fi Composites that really don't look believable cos they are mixed so haphazardly with contemporary scenery that it's just obviously compositing.

So many stupid things happen in the story. The characters move from one location to another do a battle scene then go to another location to do another battle scene. Why are some of the cars super futuristic and some of the cars are just modern normal cars??? If the film is set in say 2100, then why are not all cars modern cars? It would be like arriving in 2025 and seeing a mix of modern cars and cars from the 1930s - it's so blatently a dumb decision from the director and the whole film is full of stuff like that. And why was there an evil looking spider robot in the escape pod bay?? Just so it could have a fight with the hero.... blah.

And why was Claire De Lune by Debussey playing at the end of this film?? What on earth does an action film about explosions and battle have to do with a romantic, twinkling piece of classical music???

This film is a perfect example of why the "Rule of Cool" does not work. By the end of the film I was profoundly bored and rolling my eyes. So glad I didn't waste my money going to see this in the Cinema.

Insulting. Nolan's lost the plot.
16 November 2023
If your idea of a great movie is one that confuses and nauseats the viewer with obnoxious editing and overly bombastic music spliced with a mellowdramatic idiot tearing his hair out, then this movie is for you.

I used to respect Christopher Nolan as a filmmaker, his earlier films were cool - but in later years I just think he's gone off the deep end. Tenet was equally as incomprehensible as this and also had the effect of nauseating the viewer. And I'm sorry but anyone who thinks that a moving film is one that attempts to make the viewer feel physically and psychologically sick does not deserve to be making movies.

I had hoped that Tenet was a one off. Nolan's attempt to make something really bizarre and original that just didn''t work. But clearly this is now his approach to filmmaking - to just flush the entire rulebook of visual storytelling down the toilet and create confusing messes of films.

I was looking forward to this film, but it was a complete dissapointment. The epitome of pretensious film making that has no respect for the audience. I'll most likely be avoiding Nolan films in the future.

Wonderful, moving, fun, wise and inspiring true story!
18 September 2023
A Million Miles Away is a lovely, enjoyable and heart warming film about the life of astronaut Jose M. Hernandez. But it's also a film about following your dreams and never giving up on them. It's a movie full of wisdom and kindness and the stories of decent people who strive for good things.

The movie is well directed and and the acting is excellent. It tell it's story at a fine pace and for me the 2 hours flew by with the high's, lows, and more highs of this very sensitive and personal tale.

Probably the thing that stands out most in this movie is the music - soundtrack is full to the brim with Spanish and Mexican music which certainly add to it's charm and fun.

A Million Miles Away is a feel good film, but also tells of important morals and the tragedy of life. Most of all it's the story of a man with a dream to be an astronaut, and his journey to reach that goal. Lastly the film reminds us of the importance of human space exploration and our ongoing mission to go to the stars! Go watch this movie it's great!

Mind numbing dross made worse by Racial Politics.
27 July 2023
Good lord, after watching this film my IQ has been lowered by 10%... Starting out with the mish mash of 90's hip hop tunes that don't really work in the film, and then later the film forgets about the hip-hop and reverts to standard orchestral music.

The white male boss who doesn't want to give the Latino a job. And then Mirage the autobot mercilessly killing white cops in the car chase.

Then the Spanish transformer, and the Latino character is like "Wow your spanish" and the Spanish transformer replies "That's racist..." like omg... what is wrong with these writers?

And the two human hero's go into a tomb and they say: "This is some indiana jones stuff" and it just reads like the writers thought "Lets have an indiana jones style section" and then they comment on their own ideas in the script. So 4th wall breaking, but NOT in a good way.

At this point, I think a large section of Hollywood is just a rich club of nepo-babies without a single shred of talent, who are totally obsessed with shoving modern politics into everything. Like seriously, get some original ideas, and get a life. ( and I'm saying that as a Left Wing guy - but what do these issues have to do with Transformers??? )

No thank you. Skip the film for sure.

An Icey Drama That Slowly Burns.
26 July 2023
Snow And The Bear is definitely an adult mystery and more of an art film than a run of the mill drama.

It is beautifully shot and has the lonely and cold atmosphere of a snowey mountain range in the middle of nowwhere which perfectly compliments the solemn story that unfolds.

Its ultimately a mystery about the culture of people living outside of modern civilisation and how an outsider comes to know a different type of existence that is more elemental and closer to nature.

This is a film about lonliness, the wilderness, and how human beings relate to and impact the natural world.

It is also a melancholic tale of self discovery.

It is a well paced, finely told mystery drama. It's in Turkish with subtitles, but I didn't mind that. Personally I enjoyed this film and I hope you will too. :-)

Yep. Good Movie. Essentially a Play.
4 May 2023
That was a breath of fresh air. If only all movies were as intelligent, sentient, and moving as this one.

The Artifice Girl watches like a performance of good theatre. It doesn't need expensive sets or locations, just the intimate interactions of the characters and the sensitive expressions of their inner lives to tell it's story.

And yes it's a story about Artificial Intelligence and asks that fundamental question: Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep? While it doesn't exactly answer that question, because that's an almost impossible question to answer, this film does a very good job of getting to the heart of that query.

The plot is intriguing and compelling. The dialogue is terse, informed and intelligent. No words are wasted in the conversations of the characters, or their value in conveying essential points of the story. The acting is excellent and authentic, especially from the young actress playing Cherry ( Tatum Matthews ) who won an award for her acting in this film. The other actors, including the writer and director ( Franklin Ritch ), who co-stars, also do a fantastic job of portraying their deep characters.

So yeah, it's a story abou A. I. But it's also a story about humanity, morality and the purpose of life. Definitely a cool film and one you should certainly watch.

( The only reason I didn't give it 10/10 was cos it could have used a higher budget for sets and props, haha! Hopefully the team will get that higher budget for their next film. )

A Childish and Cliched Rendition of D&D.
4 May 2023
I'm a life long Dungeons and Dragons player of both the Tabletop RPG and the Video Games. And I'm sorry to say I found this film to be extremely irritating and dissapointing.

The real problem with this film is that it's essentially a fantasy comedy written with the depth and maturity of a 10 year old kid, is aimed at a 10 year old audience, or viewers with that mental age. While a few of the jokes are mildly funny, the film just goes from joke to joke to joke, all the way through so that nothing in the plot or world is taken with any gravitas or authenticity. This is an utter exercise in bathos.

Just because the film makes a 100 nods to D&D Lore does not a Dungeons and Dragons film make. The story and characters are lacking in any of the depth, magic or mystery that exists within the Dungeons and Dragons universe, and just comes across as an attempt to target the lowest common denominator in modern culture, essentially people with 10 second attention spans. Lots of silly jokes, none stop action and the spectacle of special effects.

Dungeons and Dragons as a game and fantasy world is not a comedy and only people who are incapable of exploring mature themes because they take everything as a joke, play it as one. It seems pretty obvious to me that the writers of this film think that D&D is a joke.

Whenever my friends and I play a Tabletop game, sure funny things happen in our adventures that leave us rolling in laughter, but for the most part the adventures are taken seriously, and the themes explored in D&D are not comedic. Dark curses, ancient magic, realms of wonder and beauty, and stories of heroism and loyalty, tradgedy and betrayal. And this film is an utter betrayal of the real spirit of Dungeons and Dragons.

If you look at the 1980's D&D cartoons, you will see the real spirit of the game. The cartoons, while including occassional comic relief ( which is fine, because it's not over done), are for the most part serious and melancholic stories about a world where good and evil hang in the balance. The over arching storyline of the cartoons is a melancholic tale of lost innocence and a group of friends on a quest to find their way home. That is the soul of Dungeons and Dragons that I know from the source material and video games.

A good comparison for what a real Dungeons and Dragon's film should be is the original Star Wars Trilogy, New Hope etc. While the original Star Wars are family friendly films, they are not comedies, but action adventure and space opera. The original Star Wars contain comic relief ( C3PO, Chewbaccca etc ), but the comedy there does not ruin the otherwise serious themes of Star Wars - the epic battle between good and evil. This film is to D&D what the new Star Wars films ( rise of blah etc ) are to the original Star Wars trilogy - a travesty.

To conclude Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Theives is a dissapointing and cliched rendition by writers who clearly do not understand the game they have poorly attempted to translate onto the big screen. Is this film, complete trash? I guess not, it's somewhat entertaining if you are bored and have nothing better to do. But if you want Fantasy Comedy (That's actually funny), go watch Mythic Quest, Army of the Dead, or Monty Python's Holy Grail instead. If you're looking for great fantasy, then go watch the original Willow or Legend, Labyrinth or Krull. If you're looking for an authentic Dungeons and Dragons story, then go watch the 1980's cartoons, they are far superior to this film in every way.

And if you don't want to be subjected to two hours of mind numbing cringefest, then give this movie a miss.

Meet Cute (I) (2022)
8/10
Really sweet, charming, funny and geniune Film.
17 March 2023
Meet Cute starts off quite quirky but gets right to the story and is really surprisingly funny from start to finish. The jokes really did have me laughing out loud with their excellent and natural delivery from the films two leads - Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson.

Although the premise ( essentially groundhog day ) is not particularly original, this movie definitely manages to tell a completely original story and reinvent that premise in it's own unique way.

The emotional rollercoaster of Shiela ( Cuoco ) and Gary's ( Davidson ) relationship is actually pretty deep, and explores issues such as self worth, direction in our lives, the importance of being true to yourself, and more and manages to explore these themes in a way that is both touching and thought provoking.

Meet Cute is ultimately a funny love story with some really great script writing and acting and an original spin on a classic theme.

Oh it's got great music too! It's a romantic film with a nice setting that will make you laugh and leave you with a smile.

Black Adam (2022)

Total dross, CGI nonsense fest.
2 January 2023
Good lord, this possible one of the worst superhero movies I've ever seen. Almost everything about it is bad, except a vaguely interesting start.

The script is absolute rubbish, cliched nonsense. The twists in the story are demented and nonsensical, put there solely to extend the movies run time.

The acting is poor and bland. The comedy is poor and bland.

The CGI is ridiculously continuous to the point of being annoying, and looks cheap and tacky. The Sci-Fi vehicles have awful designs and make no sense...

And oh my god... the Music... is so crap. Continuous awful dramatic orchestral action music in every scene that lends nothing to the action except and annoying drone.

It appauls me that people get paid millions of dollars to write and create this complete dross. I do not understand why these rich corporations with all their cash, cannot hire talented writers or directors.

I'd give this film a miss if I were you.

Pretty childish LARP as a Cartoon.
17 December 2022
Epic fantasy this is not. While Dragon Age: Absolution has some redeeming qualities, such as being fairly inoffensive, and an honest attempt at telling a fantasy adventure, for me it ultimately falls flat, and here's why:

The characters all talk as if they are 16-25 teenagers with a mix of fairly unbelievable bravado, or undeserved gravitas, so you just get the feeling that these characters are mediocre D&D Larpers.

Yeah this show just feels like a group of teenagers getting together to play a fairly mediocre D&D campaign. And well that's not very compelling.

Can't the script writers and voice actors make any attempt to sound medieval, instead of a load of 21st century hipsters in fantasy bodies? It just breaks the immersion for me.

The art work is okay though. Over all, inoffensive, but not interesting enough to keep my attention.

Pretty shallow and immature rendition.
2 November 2022
I havent seen the Swedish original, or read the book, but I've seen the American version with Chloe Grace Moretz which was excellent.

This new TV series version of Let The Right One In is a shallow and immature version of the story and characters, with none of the darkness, lonliness or melancholy of the original films.

In this version the scenes and characters are bright and friendly and the story plays on the cliches of happy family life, which frankly have nothing to do with a dark vampire story.

Clearly this TV series is a poor immitation of the source material. It has the feel of a cheap TV show made to appeal to teenagers with little to no taste.

Some goodness here. Mistakes were made.
31 October 2022
Rings of Power, Series 1, is a mixed bag. Honestly, it started off poorly with some really head scratching dialogue. But I'm pleased to say this show does have a some merit and definitely improves towards the end of the season.

And the same is really true of Galadriel. At the start of the season her character is so unlikable and behaves in such a foolish manner that it really ruins the story. But as the season progresses she does become more interesting and believable and by the end her character does make sense, kind of. Much to my surprise i actually enjoyed Morfydd Clarks performance in the final episode.

Some of the acting in this series is actually quite good. Elrond is decent for sure, and the old wizard dude (Not gonna say who he is) makes for an intrigueing and mysterious performance that once again gets compelling towards the end of the season.

The visuals are good and the music is actually great, albiet, clearly heavily inspired by the score of the Jackson films. The fight scene choreography however is really pretty lame. Although I'll have a few more kind words for this show in my conclusion, I'm afraid that's where the positives end.

There are sooo many baffling and crappy decisions in the plot, dialogue and action scenes that season 1 of Rings of Power was honestly hard for me to keep watching. The scene with Galadriel and the 4 Numenorean guards in the prison is literally the worst piece of television I think I have ever seen. And the slow motion scene of Galadriel on the horse on the beach was so cringe inducing that I had to look away.

I think my main complaint about the script writing and scene design of Rings of Power is the continuous on the nose references to the Peter Jackson LOTR films. They are numerous in every episode, and everytime It happens, I just think of "Memberberries" from South Park. "Oh remember that? Remember this..." It's really baffling. And the scene of Galadriel and her crew climbing the ice mountain is just so obviously reminiscent of Game of Thrones that it should never have been put in the show.

So yeah, ultimately, there is a lot wrong about season 1 of Rings of Power. Far too many blunders and poor decisions for me to decsribe them all here. But if you can forgive all the obvious flaws, there are some reedming qualities to this show.

The primary, and honestly, greatest element of this show is that it is TRYING VERY HARD to be a faithfal adaptation of Tolkien ( even if it fails in various Lore elements ) and that, in itself is an endearing quality of The Rings of Power. I think ultimately it's a show that tries it's best to convey the spirit and character of Middle Earth and the virtue and darkness of it's characters, and that does make it worthwhile.

I'm pleased to say, that even though I really disliked a lot of season 1, I really enjoyed the final episode, which I actually thought was really good. So yeah, in summary, Rings of Power is definitely a mixed bag, It's far from perfect, a clearly flawed jewel. But if you can look past it's faults, then it's still a fairly enjoyable watch that paints a clumsy, but pretty, picture of the second age of the world of The Lord of the Rings.

I hope the production team learn the lessons from this first season, and make it better in season 2 and beyond, in the same vein as episode 8. If they do, then I'll be tentatively looking forward to the future of The Rings of Power.

Carmen (I) (2022)

Lovely, Sweet, Charming film.
26 September 2022
Carmen is a film about faith and kindness, lonliness and love.

It's a quirky and charming comedy drama about a lady named Carmen who hasn't been dealt the best cards in life. But with the passing of her brother , the priest, she finds new possibility in her lonely adventure.

Certainly this film makes some light hearted pokes at Catholicism, but it's all very much in good spirit. Essentially suggesting that religion is also about fun and that surely, the Lord wants us to happy, even if he has mysterious ways of showing it.

The music is lovely, the scenery is pleasantly mediteranean, and the soul is very much that of a 1960's quaint romance, with a touch of tradgedy.

Carmen is a warm and endearing film that will leave you with a smile on your face and a chuckle in your tummy.

Check it out, it's nice. :-)

The Enforcer (2022)

Good Action Crime Thriller with Heart.
26 September 2022
The Enforcer is a decent and well made movie.

The action scenes are good, with some pretty brutal fights. The characters are believable and well acted.

The films got a good atmosphere, mixing dark underworld themes and hot miami afternoons.

The Music score is excellent with some nice tunes and even some enjoyable techno.

This isnt an epic masterpiece, it's more of a cool, small pulp fiction story. It's not overly long, and isn't trying to be anything other than itself. And in that respect The Enforcer wins with it's charm and heroic story.

Its a good and respectable flick. I personally enjoyed it a lot and think you will too! :-)

The Capture (2019– )
4/10
Ultimately Flawed.
22 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Capture is a thriller that revolves around the idea that live Video can be faked and that Deep Fakes will oneday make CCTV and Video footage useless as evidence in criminal prosecutions.

The problem with this premise is that it is false and misleading. With every new technology that is created, there is a counter technology. As much as there are ways to create deep fakes, there are ways to detect and prevent them.

Unfortunately, this show goes out of its way to convince the viewer, that lies, misinformation, corruption and a lack of throughness by investigators will lead to a world where the truth is undiscoverable.

The truth is, however, that such a world will only occur if Human beings stop believing in and stop looking for the truth. Consequently the ultimate moral of this TV show is one of pessimism and the assertion that humans are too lazy and corrupt to bother finding the facts.

In the end the female detective protagonist of the show, being a champion for truth the whole series finally turns evil in the end ( A bit like Khaleesi in GOT, who completely abandons everything she'd been fighting for ) and that ultimately ruins the story.

It was a depressing and irritating watch. Avoid it unless you want to come away feeling worse about the future.

Cool Cyberpunk story. Emotive and Action Packed.
14 September 2022
Blade Runner: Black Lotus is a really decent and in some cases excellent cyberpunk story set in the same rain and neon drenched city of Los Angeles. It does a great job of re-capturing the vibe and atmosphere of the original film and the visuals in Black Lotus are vibrant and gorgeous to behold.

The story, while starting off seemingly cliche is actually deeper and more complex than you initially suspect. Stick with the series and you'll find out that the plot does take some interesting turns and builds towards an exciting conclusion. Some aspects of the story are even mildly deep, and the show covers it's subject material (Cybernetics, Trans-Humanism, Free Will etc ) with intelligence.

The characters, Elle, Joseph, Wallace, etc are all convincing, excellently voice acted, and intrigueing individuals who you end up caring for and wondering what will happen to them. The story explores the inner lives, emotions, and motivations of these characters and it does it well.

And then there's the action. The fight scenes in this show are super dope - easily as good as the Matrix films - but I actually found the fight scenes in Black Lotus to be slightly superior because of how visceral and sometimes brutal they are. The fights are fast paced and thrilling! Ya never know quite how each battle will play out. Awesome stuff!

It's not a perfect show. It has it's flaws (Such as some of the extremely cheesey ending music - although the rest of the music is great - especially the opening theme.) But if you get past the minor flaws, and stick with the story you'll find it consistantly grows on you and gets better and better throughout the 13 epsiodes. With fantastic set pieces, Black Lotus builds towards a really compelling finale.

Check it out, it's a really cool and enjoyable watch. :-)

Really good fun and great music!
12 August 2022
This is a really fun, funny, action vampire comedy with tons of awesome fight scenes and some of the best camera work and editing I've seen in ages.

The jokes are genuinely funny and there were some real laugh out loud moments, especially with Snoop Dog. And most of all this movie had real classy music, dope hip hop and beats, that set the mood perfectly.

A bit too violent and gorey for young children, I'd say, but great for anyone mid teens and up.

Get some popcorn, sit back, relax and enjoy the Day Shift.

Boring pretensious drivel.

I loved the Bowie film, and seeing the good reviews I hoped this might be something similar. But it's unrecognisable. All the subtlety and melancholy of the original is gone and replaced with crappy CGI and unbelievably pretensious exposition.

"The question everyone has been asking: Who am I?" Err no sorry, that's not the question everyone has been asking, because most people arnt navel gazing dimwits.

Mind numbingly dull.
