Everything that is wrong with the modern movie. I'm in my early 20s and this week, for the first time I have been watching Spider-Man movies - despite 'Into the Spider-Verse'. This movie was extremely cringe, annoying characters, bad writing, unnatural way of acting, nothing holds any weight to it. It's like a teen sitcom on Disney Channel, making it probably fine for kids and young teens. This is something I have noticed with all MCU movies. Also, I am not a fan of all the Avengers/Iron Man/high tech stuff.
I have also seen the first half of Raimi's Spider-Man and so far I have found it to be a true delight. It seems like much more of a Spider-Man story than Far From Home - and I'm saying this as someone who has never read the comics (only played the 2018 game).
I thought I wasn't a fan of superhero movies, but maybe I need to correct that: I'm not a fan of any MCU movies. They are so Disney - and I'm saying this as a huge Disney and animation fan. But with real life actors, it's just something else I am looking for, and MCU has never provided it.
