Sameerah won 6 Best Actor Awards for her work in Moon Molson’s widely acclaimed The Bravest, the Boldest (Sundance Film Festival), which has won over 50 Film Festival Awards. Her film and television credits include: HBO's Room 104 (with Orlando Jones) and Sharp Objects (with Amy Adams), The Good Wife, Jennifer Phang’s Advantageous (Sundance Film Festival), City, Reagan, Good Funk, and The Outskirts. Sameerah played the female lead opposite Sterling K. Brown in Suzan-Lori Parks’ Father Comes Home from the Wars, Parts 1, 2, & 3 at Mark Taper Forum.
Sameerah’s co-written pilot, ONE BLOOD, won Grand Prize in the 2021 Fade in Awards Pilot Competition. Her feature screenplay, "After", won Best Screenplay in the 2020 New Faces New Voices Int’l Film Festival Feature Screenplay Competition and the 2020 BMGF Int’l Film Festival Screenplay Competition; and was a Finalist in the 2020 Pasadena International Film Festival Screenplay Competition and the 2018 WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Competition; a Second Rounder at the 2019 Austin Film Festival; a Semi-Finalist in the 2020 New York International Screenplay Awards, 2020 Vancouver International Women in Film Screenplay Competition, and 2019 Ojai Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
Her first full-length play, "Rapture", is a finalist for a 2020 SPACE on Ryder Farm residency, a Second Rounder in the 2020 Austin Film Festival Playwriting Competition, and Quarterfinalist in the 2020 ScreenCraft Playwriting Competition.
