Best Jon Cryer scene in the entire series

Jon Cryer played a double part here (also as Sid... an elderly man Alan has a coversation with at the bar.) Sid is funny, witty and one of the best scenes of an actor playing 2 roles in 1 scene ever! It wasn't untill the end of the scene when I thought: "Wait a minute! Sid is Jon Cryer!" Normally some make up and a wig doesn't fool me recognizing the actor but here Jon Cryer was perfect! His demenor was spot on, the voice was spot on also. The rest of the episode was average and would give it a 6.5 but Sid is making up for it so I give it a 9. I almost wish Sid and Berta would be a couple if future epicodes.. would have been gold!

So yeah I am older than a kid.... saw 2 episodes but even I know its for kids, the story is about.... nothing...Just alot of air and no substance. Dialogues are about ...nothing (just very uninteresting conversations) Even right after seeing 2 episodes I am still wandering & reflecting what its about.. Its NOT funny (unless your 13 maybe and your sence of humor is still undeveloped)) Effects are on kids level too! No exitement, no nailbiting action. I can not even imagine I would like it when I would be 13. Will for sure not continue to watch and for me its 1* becasue its in color.....

Seldom I felt so detached from all characters. I don't care for all of them. The story is dragging along (not much happening). Genre should be Action (almost none)... Adventure (97% is situated on Versaille so what adventure?) Family (kids would like it) Fantasy (mweh mermaid) Romance (didn't care). No big effort is made by the writers and is done with no imagination...

"what are you doing to us, Dakota". "This is a bad idea"."This is a recipe for disaster". What are we getting into right now". "I can't believe this"."I am getting nervous". : This is getting a little too real". This is so freaking creepy". I don't know what gets more scarier than this". "This is going to be a very long night"... THESE are quotes from the show AND are made one right after the other (so in sequence).... Thats ok for a few shows BUT the same (kind of) phrases are used in EVERY single episode and its getting freaking annoying to me more and more. Investigations are same every time, almost never adding new ways (little audio recording & some rempod stuff & a bit of ovulus.) Every episode is a copy of the one before or after (in a investigative.way of approach). They should do more investigating and less "I am so afraid" stuff that is scripted anyway.which is getting less and less believable.

Black Friday (III) (2021)

Not once I've raised the corners of my mouth for a slight hint of a smile. The (first time movie) writer totally missed the humor in his writing. Writing comedy is an art and this could have been much better (maybe hire a comedian?) On the characters and story, the writing was bad also because the situation is handled as if the events happen every week which made it surreal & detached (in a bad way)... Also the music score gets annoying (its like a Home Alone score).. Now all this would not bothered me when the writing was good! The writer should've watched 1992 "Braindead" (my fav horror-comedy!) which has the absurdism, sarcasm and over the top gore this movie needed badly! Watch Braindead instead, avoid this!

Too many story lines

... Thats my main problem...The whole UK section should not have been added and between other sections it jumps for one section suddenly to the next... Don't make the section-jumps so often! I do not mind the pace that much although 1 gear up wouldn't hurt and could've need more tension (The S1E6 had tension but lacked some good visuals) Season 1 is 10 episodes but could have been compressed to 5 episodes. Other people complaining about lack of aliens, I also do not mind but I hope that gets picked up further towards the end of season 1.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021)

For starters: the acting was very decent, but the story avoided edgy criticism to the money grabbing TV pastors. Yes there was a taste of that but could have beeen more shown. I do not buy it that there was any genuin faith in Tammy and Jim's life, except the faith of money. After checking Jim Bakker his Wikipedia bio, I really think he is much worse person than portrayed in this movie, specially what he has been doing last couple of years! I urge you to read that.(from "Return to televangelism" & further) because in the movie his story ends being in jail... Horrible man! Tammy Faye SEEMS much more likeable but again, I do not buy the love for God part, only the love for money..... Movie is "noncontroversial.

One of the best docu's i've ever seen! Luckely there is no irritating narrator who reads from a script and has a distance from the story. Ahmad (& family and friends) tell their own story and that approach breaths purity & honesty.in the best possible way! Special attention for one of the last (close up) shots of Ahmad his father which is one of the best scenes ever in a documentary! Its a mustsee for anyone! I do not give a 10 rating easily but due to the impact it had on me it was a no brainer!

The Vanishing (1988)

Back then...Stanley Kubrick called the director George Sluizer to say he had seen The Vanishing three times. He told Sluizer that it was the most terrifying film he had ever seen, even more terrifying than The Shining itself.. I not need to say more other than to watch this! (and forget the remake as many reviews said)

I expected, after a good opening sequence, some fairytale-like story....but that idea went up in smoke very quick.... After the opening sequence it turned into a highschool horror and poorly acted too... Only Verne Troyer and Kerry Knuppe were OK but the rest were probably snatched from some amateur company... The writers were probably 18 too, believing that, if you include a teacher hitting on a student, it would sell more DVD's... But the "erotic" scenes were a complete turn of (too fake). Comedy part was also not well written... Should have been more outrageous and sarcastic... Special effects were OK too...
