The Terminal List (2022– )

Expected more from a high rated series
30 July 2022
With a rating over 8 you would expect a more sophisticated story and plot. This is a modern version of a Steven Segal movie from the 90s. I was hoping there would be twists and suspension. This is baseball caps and guns.

Arrival (II) (2016)

It's a masterpiece. Period.

I will help you choose if you want to watch this one or not. It's easy. If you like, for example Sixth Sense, you will love this one. If you prefer Independence Day, you will hate it.

I think it's a masterpiece. Period. I'm actually a bit shocked it's not closer to 9 and a top 20 all time movie. The script is so intelligent that it feels that you have watched 4 different movies in the end. It's a thrill ride for drama-, thriller-, action- and science fiction fans in one package.

I had to compose myself for 20 minutes before leaving the theatre and it took me and my wife about 3 hours and 3 glasses of wine to talk about it afterwards.

It's not epic- it's good.

There is a reason it doesn't rate as high as other Tarantino movies. Great acting. Lovely sceneries. Decent to good dialogue. Cool slash pretty crazy development when you know the background story. So it's a good picture with some good scenes, but the total result comes a bit short in my opinion plainly because the script and the story just isn't great. Worth a watch any day, but don't expect to be as spoiled by Tarantino as you're used to.

The story is not essential
27 March 2020
First time I saw it was ok. Second time I thought it was really good. The third time I was mesmerised.

No, the story is another cliche Hollywood mash-up you have seen a thousand times before. The script is nothing. The acting works.

You watch this movie and love it because every scene is just more beautiful then the other.

The locations are amazing. Camera is incredible. The music is over the roof good! Thank you Hans Zimmer. This soundtrack is my most played album on Spotify 6 consecutive years now.

When you combine all the elements of this film, I think it is one of the best pictures ever made. I still watch it once a year.

Funny thing is that I think this is one of few movies where the rating goes up every year. I'm not the only one who enjoys it more for every time I see it apparently.

So forget about the flaws and let your eyes and ears be the judge of this one.

Not what you want and expect.

It seems this series is marketed for the wrong audience.

This series wants to be Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Watchman and even a little bit... blackploatation!??!?

It's a comic book, when 90% of us expected a smart and dark drama/thriller.

So when you get over the first disappointment you get disappointed again when you find out that the script and characters are laughable.

Almost perfect thriller/drama
22 February 2020
This production is one of the best thriller/drama series I've seen from Sweden.

Perfect pace, story, cutting and script.

The only negative I can say is that they could do a better job with the soundtrack.

It can easily be watched by an international audience and I'm really surprised about the quality that is up there with much larger Hollywood productions.

Kudos to everyone who participated in Kalifat.
