Dark (2017)
Anybody knows wharlt happend?
The premises were interesting but it took me an eternity to finish watching the serie and I didn't get it. What just happened? By moments I thought I got it, but then, I lost the story. It needs a pen and a sheet of paper to note all the characters and the story of everyone in order to catch the story.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Slow, apocalyptic and laconic
Slow, because you have to wait till the end to understand what happens when, in the last 10 minutes of the movie is resumed the whole point of the story. And the point is: we are doomed. But not even after the movie ends you can not fill all the gaps in the story.
Sad and pessimistic as the vast majority of the Sci-fi stories of the last century.
Locke & Key (2020)
Stupidly is a virtue
The premises are very interesting and the show is captivating but also very frustrating to see that all the positive characters in the serie are taking all the bad decisions you can imagine and are extremely clumsy. Anything that can go wrong, goes worse.
The Harder They Fall (2021)
Gross
Cheap masochistic violence and slow boring (non)action. I wander what movie watched the people who wrote all that pretentious reviews. Not proper of Idris Alba, but these days....
Ad Astra (2019)
Pointless
The music, the soporific style and the lack of meaning, remained me of the Willem Dafoe's movie in Mr. Bean's Hollydays. Just another sad and pessimistic Sci-fi about a meaningless future.
Supernatural (2005)
Handsome
Nice show that raises a lot of existential questions and makes you think about anything that you believe. Based mainly on Jewish tradition, combines many different beliefs and philosophical ideas. My main complain is that the wors acting from all the show, is the amateur acting of main characters, Sam and Dean, that besides the fact that they are two handsome guys, they have no acting talent. Resuming, worth watching if you are interested in metaphysical questions!
Blood Red Sky (2021)
Worse vampire ever
I don't know where to begin. Alien-like, weak vampire, creating strong ones.. and the most annoying kid ever...
Entertaining and annoying.
The I-Land (2019)
Astonished!
Astonished by all the senseless reviews that I read. Looks like those who didn't see anything good in this serie, either have an interest in saying this, or they never thought about the existential questions implied here. Questions about human condition, about the legal system or the idea of redemption itself.
The series is worth seeing. Not the best, but well-done and enjoyable. Don't trust the 1* reviews.
Interview with a Hitman (2012)
American action in an imaginary Romania
You don't need a big budget to be well informed about the reality..As a romanian viewer, I don't recognise neither the background nor the detailes of an imaginary Romania-Russia. Low budget, low quality and low everything...
Untraceable (2008)
Freedom is dangerous
Another anti freedom of information and free press movie. A surreal scenario where the bad televisions live broadcast a suicide and millions of people watch live online crime knowing that they a murder accomplice. The conclusion: with less freedom of press and information, this would be a better world. I gave it 5 points for the action an thrill but I am sick of so many movies about a world of stupid, mad, brainless people and bad, lack of ethics journalists. It's interesting to note how the bad character of the movies changes according to different interests and politics
The Vanishing (2018)
Crime and Punishment
The movie is not about the disappearance of the three lighthous keepers from 1900. That was just a pretext. It is about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. Greed, guilt, suspicion... We always think that we are able to manage extraordinary circumstances, but do we?
The Expanse (2015)
Lot of politic crap, zero SF
What is the series about? Terrorism, marxism, critics of capitalism...? I am a big fan of SF movies, but I felt asleep watching the whole first season. I came to believe that all the 9 and 10 rated 'critics' are written by the same person, paid by the producers. Maybe someone can explain to me, what the hell is this series about
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013)
Pretty good
I don't understand the negative reviews. It's a quite nice movie and definitely is a lot better than the serie. I also don't understand the obsession of comparing the movie with the book. A movie is an artistic work, not a copycat. If you want the book, read it. A movie will always be something else
The Predator (2018)
An upgraded predator movie
I wonder if all those who scored so low this movie, actually seen it. Predator has evolved. Many spectators don't. It was different than the other predators but it surprised me with the evolution of the script. Very enjoyable action and SF. It worth!
Taken 3 (2014)
My 7 years old son would have write a better story
Who wrote this? Good actors but awful story. The whole movie is about the good ex husband trying to avoid the police, instead of solving his ex's murder. In what world is the police so interested in solving one murder? And, how the hell are they letting him free after killing all those people? And what was the point of finding the one responsible for his ex's murder (with the price of his friend's life), only for letting him go with just a warning?
Next time you wanna hire all those actors and spend all that money, call me and I would write a much, much better story for you. Seriously!
Dreamcatcher (2003)
Different but nice
I've noticed that there are many people that write reviews but don't understand anything from a movie, unless it fits in their own schemes. This was a different but nice and touching movie. I wouldn't rate it as horror. It's a SF about different kinds of aliens with a supernatural and also a funny touch. A nice combination for me. I hope you'll enjoy it
Knock Knock (2015)
Sick puritan joke
I feel awful after watching such a brainwashing puritan movie who only try to convince you that cheating on your wife has lethal consequences. I can't believe I let myself tricked into watching this awful movie hoping for a brilliant twist in the end. It can't be qualified as thriller nor horror but only as a horrible pointless sick joke. This is rather a story told by Ned Flanders to his boys to convincethem to be faithful to their wives. The first half of the movie could be an original idea for a thriller, but not the second half. The writer had two main ideas: 1: All men are pigs 2: A woman who tries to seduce a maried man, is rather a whore, or a psihopat My advice: don't even think of watching this sick subnormal puritan joke
