1899 (2022)
BEST SHOW EVER SEEN!!
What is amazing about this show is that it breathes the simulation theory into life. For Netflix to cancel this...are they stupid? If you have seen Dark, then you will know that it takes time to build an incredible storyline. 1899 has it, and Netflix executives doesn't get it....the show has everything to draw in more customers because I can see that it will have tons of following.
1899 deals with everything we deal with today, questioning what is truth, what is real and are we living in a simulation that considers us to be an experiment to those watching us? Are those watching us play God yet they are just like us? 1899 makes one think very deeply...just like Dark did.
See You Yesterday (2019)
Telling a lie
This is clearly telling a story that paints the law enforcement a bad picture, which is telling a lie than a reality.
The Magicians (2015)
Mindblowing
This was an amazing series! I really enjoyed the ride as it was full of adventures, comedy and storytelling. The writers were so immerse with the other shows that I have watched and made amazing references. Honestly, I was so pleased with how the story was told, therefore it was worth watching the series. I really wanted more after season 5.
Away (2020)
What is exploring?
Using the backdrop as Space Exploration for this type of story isn't a good idea if you are not trying to draw in Sci-Fi audience. Regardless, I did enjoy the story. I would be looking forward to Season 2, as I think this show is meant for 3 seasons. Season one would be on it's way to Mars, Season 2 would be life on Mars, and Season 3 would be on it's way back. However, I don't think this whole story is about Space Exploration, but more about human exploration.
The Witcher (2019)
Never read the books or played video games, but watching this...
I absolutely love it. I was confused about the stories being off, and I realize it was intentional. In Season one, Witcher's (Garalt of Rivia) story covers decades, the Sorceress (Yennifer) cover centuries and Ciri covers just a few weeks. So, there is no flashbacks. Their stories are not on the same timeline until Episode 8.
It's brilliantly written.
We as the audience has been used to the stories on the same point in time, but this is the first time that it's not the case, so you have to listen to what the characters are saying to figure out the point in time.
The acting, the background, the CGI...are amazing. The only thing that I was sad about that I wasn't able to see more of Emma Appleton.
Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
Very entertained and wants more
I absolutely loved the story and I want to see more of it, Disney!
The Upside (2017)
Loved the story
This movie was an amazing story. It was very heartfelt and it truly brought the best out of the two main characters.
So, why did this movie get negative reviews from the critics? It's simple...Politics and Kevin Hart. Ignore that factor and you will come to love this movie!
Against the Clock (2019)
Terrible Editing
I understood the movie, but without the constant jumping around from location to location, all this could be edited out and it would only be a half hour movie. It was pointless to watch an hour of "being lost." We the audience get it.
It wasn't a very good story as the editing killed it.
Kin (2018)
Setting up for a bigger hit
I thought this storyline was brilliant, and it is set up for more. It was well directed and well acted. I would be pissed if they don't finish the storyline.
Mile 22 (2018)
Trying too hard?
I saw this movie last night, and I was hoping to be entertained, but I walked away disappointment.
I think the acting was a bit too much and strange, especially from Wahlberg. He's a bit too brash and I couldn't connect with him.
Cohan's acting was pretty good on the big screen, quite a difference from Walking Dead.
I am pleased to see that Rousey getting to act and have more lines to work on. I think she has a future.
IF they are going to make a sequel out of it...all I have to say is, Calm down, Wahlberg...
Downsizing (2017)
Too much of a political movie than a comedy
I had seen the trailer of this movie about 8 months and I was looking forward to it. It had the big players, Jason, Kristen and I thought for sure that it would be a great comedy movie to watch.
Boy, was I wrong? It feels like it was purposely misleading the public about what this movie should have been. It was NOT a comedy, it was a political stun to jam false narrative about global warming.
In the beginning of the movie, they talked about the 1950's prediction of a population growth. I have read the book and it's prediction were way off. Yet, the movie teaches that it is true to this day. So right then, I knew this was about to lead into global warming agenda.
Hollywood's lefties just wanted to do something stupid as this, so they get 1 star.
Stargate Origins (2018)
Bring back SGU
A waste of time.. Should have focused on bringing back SGU as what the fans want.
