Sins of the South (2024)
Makes your ears bleed
It's hard to actually rate the episode because the narrator's accent is excruciating, horribly, awfully BAD, bless her heart. One cannot seriously pay attention to the story.
My Granny is old, Deep South born and bred "in high cotton" and neither she nor any of her contemporaries, family, friends, strangers, absolutely no one in The South sounds that syrupy slow and stupid. Stop it - recast or voiceover...
If nothing else, listen to the real folks interviewed, especially the women, and y'all will hear the difference and how insulting that narrator really is.
But please, y'all, whatever makes your ears hurt less, stop the stereotypical drawl...just STOP.
The Amazing Race: The Longest Minute of Your Life (2024)
Absolutely Shameful
This is the worst season we've ever seen. Folks only travelled in South America...really???
The cultural and language barriers were lop-sided and CBS should be ashamed of the cheap-out and bias presented.
We are watching / rewatching series from Season One and the change of this show is drastically downhill. The 90 minute/10 episode format is boring. 11k v. 45k miles is shocking. Totally ridiculous and we'll likely skip the next season. The winners couldn't have had a better shot if they had been children getting stickers and participation only trophies - not to mention the hometown advantage. "It was truly a gift, every single leg"...nuff said.
Fear the Walking Dead: The Door (2021)
Garrett Dillahunt is amazing!
This has to be the first show I've ever seen Garrett Dillahunt as a protagonist - HERO - and he's EXTRAORDINARY! He was excellent in TWO roles of Deadwood. Unlike Deadwood, I am totally devastated at the loss and in awe of all of the performances. He is amazing and the storyline/twist, direction and cinematography is jaw dropping. Lennie James / Morgan is best when he's seeking real justice thru vengeance. Loved and hated and cried so much during this episode. Years ago I stopped watching this show at the end of Season 4 but made myself go back and try again after TWD: Dead City and Daryl Dixon came out and in anticipation of The Ones Who Live coming next. This episode makes it worthwhile.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Lime Chaser (2023)
Bring Rollins Back ASAP
Whoever had the bright idea to replace Amanda Rollins with the younger "Mullins" and "Churlish" characters needs to be replaced. These 2 are the most annoying characters in years.
If the powers that be are hoping to only last another season or two - they're on track with these 2 millennial/Gen X or Z or whomever they're trying to attract.
It's embarrassing to watch the remaining stellar cast babysit them.
It is practically unbearable to try to watch or listen to either character. They'll be perfect for the new Law & Order reboot - with the cool, whiny, pouty, poor-me facial expressions in the new L&O closing moments.
Law & Order: Organized Crime: ...Wheatley Is to Stabler (2022)
Pretty Much Unwatchable
The Wheatley Character and storyline is so unbelievable and too silly and too lfar-fetched to watch anymore.
Dylan M Dermott was fascinating as pro- and antagonists in multiple American Horror Story seasons. He was perfect as Bobby Donnell in The Practice.
However this L&O Org Crime storyline are ridiculous.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Facing Demons (2019)
Best Redemption for Cassidy
Dean Winter runs Mahem in this episode. Awesome to see him again, his struggle to find ANYONE ELSE (besides himself) to be THE witness. He is "Oz" and "Homicide: Life on the Street" worthy and strong! Keep him on this show!!! And P.J. Marshall - so strong - thank you!! Somebody put Cassidy and Rollins together soon!! They deserve each other and some kind of happiness together.
