Heartfelt and unique
16 October 2020
The character design, the music, the voice acting, the story. All of it had me hooked. It's such a unique world but with familiar tropes the audience can resonate with. Also... Pixar ALWAYS hits their audience with a flow of emotion in the climax of the film. I don't know how they do it, but it hit me pretty hard ...

As the younger sibling who didn't get a chance to meet their dad, it really hit home.

Thank you Pixar. The film was beautifully executed.

Entertaining, even with a predictable story

Upon watching this film end, I wasn't mad about its indications of a sequel. The character sonic was redesigned to a level of audience acceptance, so you gotta give the producers some extra credit. It could of expanded the world of sonic a bit more with more characters like him (as it were in the video games) but overall pretty solid movie for one that tried so hard to be liked.

Why all the hate?
8 March 2020
The story was beautifully executed, it was well paced, the new characters kept the story fresh and the film was somewhat educational. Perhaps not as emotionally charged as the first, but not many sequels can achieve such a high quality level in terms of depth in all its characters and minor details. Only Pixar can make you feel empathetic towards a fish.

Total Drama (2007–2014)
9/10
First season worthy of a watch, the rest can be a hit or miss
23 February 2020
Total Drama Island - 9/10 Had good potential; characters were interesting, character development was even better. The challenges were intriguing to watch. The show is so hilariously bad it's good.

Total Drama Action - 6.5/10 Not a bad season but no refreshing ideas or characters. Same old jokes and the aftermath shows got somewhat annoying as episode fillers.

Total Drama World Tour - 3.5/10 I know many like this season, but I couldn't get past the 6th episode (The aftermath show). It was yet another repetition from the previous seasons. Nothing new asides from the dreadful musical numbers in every episode and two new characters. Not a lot of "drama" from what I was watching. The show has clearly ran out of ideas and has become officially unwatchable. Couldn't bare to watch the following seasons.

Give the first season a try and perhaps the second and you may enjoy this show. But the third just wasn't for me.

Toy Story 4 (2019)
7/10
Lots of fun but doesn't compare to the emotional trauma the third instalment put me through
19 June 2019
I enjoyed it no doubt, the movie had loads of laughs and there's so much character development to Woody along with some others. By the end of the movie you'll come to really like Forky, as his character just connects so well to things like self discovery and a sense of purpose.

I LOVED how they brought back Bo Peep and made her into a real badass compared to what we previously saw her as and they even included an explanation of her disappearance in the last film which was very necessary indeed.

I'm trying my best not to spoil it but I felt like the things that Woody experienced and his dedication to bringing Forky back to Bonnie was so much more emotionally captivating than the ending. Compared to the final scenes in toy story 3 (literal tears out of my eyes), I didn't feel that same connection but was still so heartwarming to watch.

*Potential spoiler .... Honestly, I did not like the new character Gabby Gabby (and her 'evil henchmen' that were something out of an R rated movie that was just so creepy) despite her motivations. I didn't like the outcome between her and Woody but I suppose that just reflects Woody's good nature and sole purpose (much like how he taught Forky) and that's what really got to me, how selfless Woody is and has been throughout the entire franchise and it was sad to see it all end.

This 4th instalment of toy story was so unique and touching in its core message, and no it didn't need to be made but thats the whole point of it.

But...toy story 3 still stands In comparison, something felt a little forced about toy story 4. But overall, still watchable.

You might like it, you might hate it

As good as DC will get
21 April 2019
Much of the dialogue was actually funny and kept me laughing throughout the film, which is RARE for a DC film. I love everything about the overall message, a little predictable but still enjoyable. At least they kept me in my seat this time. Highly recommend!

It's okay

Obviously the original is better! The forced laughter gets annoying and some scenes are cringey to watch but asides from that, it's watchable

How I Met Your Mother: Last Forever: Part Two (2014)
Season 9, Episode 24
6/10
Must watch the alternative ending
4 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Okay so if you have How I Met Your Mother on DVD, then you'd most likely have access to the alternative ending.

I must say that I did not like the broadcasted version, especially due to the predeterminded ending of Ted going after Robin again. Robin became so emotionally unavailable (and at times, manipulative) towards Ted for numerious seasons and the ending just completely shattered my love for this series. After the huge lead up to Barney and Robin's wedding, I was saddened that they did not work out. Honestly, I thought Barney and Robin were kinda perfect for each other as they shared similar traits and after all, Robin played a huge role in Barney's character development. And hey, I could live with the fact that they got divorced because of Robin's tough job, BUT, reverting Barney back into his old ways after so much character development was really unnecessary. He become unlikable and his attempts in impressing women again in his 40s. This became disturbing and sad (as said by lily). Although he did have a child, Barney's relapse of hitting on women and the creation of a second playbook was disappointing (especially with the destroyed playbook marking a huge milestone in Barney's character development).

The alternative ending did not change this aspect, however it did hint that Barney and Robin may still have a slight spark between them. This was during Teds wedding in the last 5 minutes, whereby the narration of 'old ted' says "things fall apart, things get put back together", with the camera flicking between Barney and Robin smiling back at each other. Maybe it's not directly implied but I'd like to think it was a possibility for the two characters to get back together in the future.

Instead of flicking through the photos and memories between Ted and Tracy, it's the very brief recap and lead up of how Ted came to meet Tracy in the first place. With this, compared to the broadcasted version, there is no mention that the mother gets sick and Ted and Robin never ended up together (sorry Marshall). And so without the scene that tells us of Tracy's passing, it is very much implied that the mother is still alive and happily living with Ted and their two children, in which puts a more heartfelt ending to the HIMYM series that I will continue to live by.

Overall, the broadcast version is a 5/10 for me However the alternative version is a 7/10
