Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Best movie ever made
Some people will laugh and ignore this movie, others will simply call it best movie ever made.
I haven't done research on the "Daniels" but they might have tapped into something profound here.
There are way too many references to the mystics and eastern spiritual philosofies. Like "Mr Nobody" the movie puts the viewer in whats like to be in the 5th plane where we are not prisioners of time instead we have access to timelines, but goes beyound reaching the 6th (choices) and 7th (physical properties), ultimately lands in the realm of empathy and compassion through understanding of others perspectives to prevail in unity of the present moment.
There are many alternative lives out there but them all find beauty in the simple things.
The Little Things (2021)
Hard to stay awake
I struggled, my eyes were so heavy i felt like giving up and just surrender to a delicious nap but I fought it, sat up, had a sip of water to see a detective traumatised by his guilt, Eliot, I mean Rami, as a rookie detective that earns enough to have an awesome backyard and who can kill a guy with just one hit of a shovel... and a weirdo psycho who no one knows why on Earth he is a weirdo in the first place, the FBI detective in charge started the investigation from scratch, he listens to police radio stations but hey, who never did it back in the early 90s? And has a collection of old newspapers with his victims, of course, who wouldnt want to keep evidence of your own crimes? The movie ended with the dog still alive and a brand new red hair clip, free of scratches, hair or blood. I guess whoever wrote the script felt asleep and forgot to finish it, maybe the goal of the movie was to put everyone to sleep, because of its near success and because of Eliot, I mean Rami, im giving it a 5.
Equinox (2020)
Happy easter!
Those who wrote bad reviews on this show are either kids or people too used to Hollywood. Great script, photography, mysterious, sexy, tense, educational and so on. Watch it in Danish though. Great show!
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
Good intentions...
Wtf was this? So much potential could have been 100 times betterz great cast, production but the plot is sort of lost... not sure how to label this movie.. but i guess they wanted to focus in spirituality and the mental state that George had to deal with, guilt, shame and resentment which some calls hell, he'd burning in the flames of hell (Just dint get the crux upside down.. sort of unessessary) A ghost is nothing but a specialist in spirituality, ok... and karma is what he gets from his own actions.. so the ghost let him kill Cath, ok... but seriously, he was a psycho from the beggining, sort of predictable, there was so much that went nowhere... and that arty ending yes it was great, i guess art is a reflection of what lies underneath of our conscious reality but it could have been mind-blowing, taking the audience to actually hell through Georges point of view.. Netflix loves to dismantle paradigms.. mix feminism and horror, scary ghosts that are angels, psychopaths that end up in paintings...
The Father (2020)
I lost my branches and my leaves
This movie is absolutely amazing! Scary, sad, funny, surprising, daunting, name it whatever because it is everything and nothing at the same time. A true depiction of whats like to have dementia. A scary world where time does not move forward, nor backwards. A natural pathway of all of us, the dissolution of our cognition to levels of hallucinations where we just want mummy to protect us from the wilderness of reality to finally going back being the trees connected to the air, to gravity and the cosmos.
The White Tiger (2021)
Paradigm shift
The movies is not about good or bad values, it is about paradigm shifts. In India the cast system managed by a corrupted political-religious system is exposed to what many indigenous traditions called "the white man" desease: greed.
Who is to change their perception? White people and their dellusions on endless economical growth at the expense of environmental collapse, crime and social disparity or the low cast servant who deserves to climb up the latter? This movie on a deeper scale is a philosophical quest for both audiences both holly and bolly wood to deconstruct inherited culture and points of views. The white tiger is the one who manages to wake whilst everyone is sleeping, like the Bhudda said.
The Social Dilemma (2020)
For the future of our civilization we need to:
1. Make tech companies accountable for the consequences of their business models.
2. International regulation on their business models and shareholders.
3. Use the constitution as ethical framework.
4. National educational programs for Digital Wellbeing.
5. Vote for people who don't misuse the tech
6. Vote for people who are willing to make Silicon Valley accountable for global social cohesion
7. Weekly and Monthly detox from SM platforms, like deactivating the account.
8. I have personally UNLIKED every single personal interest I had on FB and Insta, maybe you should too.
9. Respect our own privacy.
10. Enjoy organic life, not digital one.
This docco says everything I have been trying to say in conversations whenever there's a chance. Please share with your friends and family.
Instead of fueling a gigantic greed machine pushed by stock market, AI could be boosting Human Potential. Education in general, there is so much good that can be harvested from these platforms but unfortunately the current fuel is greed and capital and that is what is consuming our own survival and the objective reality, the Planet. It can though be balanced and push the collective growth of our species.
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Couldn't sit still
The kind of movie everyone wants; good. So much going on on my mind, so many references to mystics and astral planes.. so much out there we don't know because we shine! Not 10 because it is not the movie of my life.
Tourism Australia: Dundee - The Son of a Legend Returns Home (2018)
Incredible!
WOW! this campaign is the most incredible piece of advertisement ever done! If I could rate 11 I would. So much effort from Droga5 agency to put this together. This should be celebrated yearly in Australia day! Go Aussies!
Mr. Robot (2015)
Earth 2.0
Mr Robot is what Earth needs at our evolutionary stage. Only very few shows attempt to be as accurate and honest about how our world operates. We are currently enslaved by debt through multi-national financial conglomerates that push humanity to oblivion. Mr Robot clearly shows how it works and gives us hope for an extremely simple solution. Eradicate debt. All countries are in debt to these conglomerates and there is no apparent solution besides revolution. I hope this show remains to it's roots and takes the opportunity to wake up the masses. Even though the hero is a drug-addict schizophrenic geek he is exactly what 99% of Earth population needs, someone who is crazy enough to see truth as it is, going beyond human normalities to explore the untouched and not succumb and be fooled by our own expectations, fears and delusions. Mr Robot + Interstellar = Earth 2.0
