Succession (2018)
"I don't have a choice. I was born into a family of merciless bast*rds."
"I don't have a choice. I was born into a family of merciless bast*rds."
"Succession" is a wild ride that'll have you laughing,
cringing, and occasionally feeling for these rich, entitled,
and dysfunctional characters. Brian Cox as Logan Roy is
just fantastic, delivering those dry one-liners with ease. But
the real scene stealers are Kieran Culkin's Roman and
Jeremy Strong's Kendall - the way they bring the comedy is
just brilliant.
If you're a fan of shows that are equal parts dark humor and
character-driven drama, then "Succession" is a must-watch.
And if you're looking for a good laugh, you won't be
disappointed either. This show is pure gold.
The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
"You are my purpose"
This episode is a masterpiece of emotion and feeling. Words cannot do justice to the beauty and depth of this episode . It's a breathtaking hour of television that reaches into your soul and stirs up your emotions. The actors bring the characters to life with a raw and poignant performance that will leave you feeling moved and in awe.
This series is so much more than just zombies and action. It's about love, life and the power of human connection in even the darkest of circumstances. The previous two episodes were intense and action-packed, but this one provides a much-needed moment of reflection. Through this episode, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Joel and Ellie's relationship and the bonds that hold them together.
The production, writing, and adaptation are also remarkable. The aging of the actors, from Tess's youthful appearance to the convincing aging of Bill and Frank, is a testament to the excellent makeup and acting skills. This episode is truly a work of art and a must-watch for anyone looking for an emotional journey.
Im Westen nichts Neues (2022)
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left."
"All Quiet on the Western Front" is great movie based on the classic novel by Erich Maria Remarque that tells the story of a group of young German soldiers during World War I.
This movie is a tough watch, but it's so important. It shows the senseless violence and physical and mental toll war can have on soldiers. You'll see the deep camaraderie that develops between the soldiers and the sense of disillusionment they feel after realizing the lies and propaganda that led to the war.
The themes in "All Quiet on the Western Front" are timeless and still ring true today. It's a sobering reminder of the devastating impact of war and the loss of innocence that comes with it.
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008)
Touching, Thought-provoking Holocaust Film
A powerful and thought-provoking film that tells the story of the Holocaust through the eyes of two young boys. It based on John Boyne's 2006 novel of the same name. The performances of the cast are outstanding, particularly that of Asa Butterfield and Jack Scanlon. They are able to convey the innocence, confusion, and fear of the characters in a way that is both heartbreaking and authentic.
The film's direction is also noteworthy, it presents a unique perspective on the Holocaust, it is able to explore the innocence of childhood and the atrocities of war through the eyes of these two young boys. The cinematography is also noteworthy, with the stark contrast between the lush greenery of the countryside and the gray, oppressive atmosphere of the concentration camp.
You People (2023)
Not worth watching
The movie not only failed to live up to expectations but also fell short in its execution. The script was not only shallow but also had cringe-worthy moments that made it uncomfortable to watch. The direction of the movie was also poor, lacking a clear vision and pacing that was slow. The Director failed to bring the story to life, and the final product left a lot to be desired. It was a major disappointment to see Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy in such a poorly executed movie. The talent of these actors was wasted on a movie that failed to deliver a compelling story or engaging characters. Overall, the movie was a big letdown and not worth watching.
