Francine Everett is so hot at this time. Just oozing sexiness. I really wished they had shown more of her stripping act. She was so smooth how she would flirt with the men. It was sad she got killed in the end. All the people in it were interesting and cool except for the preacher.

I would recommend this to everyone who has soul.

A Gorgeous Girl Like Me (1972)

The first in the new trend of heroic female action movies.

When first introduced to the leading lady, I felt excitement that here was a unique female role played by the perfect actress.

I was feeling like this may be the best movie I had ever seen.

However the ending was a downer.

If she had been redeemed in the end by the love of a good man, this movie would have gone on to recognized for the brilliant creation it is.

I am reminded of the letdown I experienced when Kalisi went bad in Game of Thrones.

I feel the need to do a hit number on this show. Be forewarned: this is a pure grudge rant!

I wanted to like it and enjoy the new trend of females playing badasses.

The only redeeming quality is it is filmed in San Francisco, which is where I am from. The star even had potential which was wasted.

The original Kung Fu show may have been one of the most influential trend setting shows in television history. I remember watching the first episode as a teenager and my life was forever changed.

Maybe if they had titled this as "emotionally weak, insecure woman child who knows martial arts" I might be more accepting.

I got as far as the middle of the second episode and recognized that it would never develop into something meaningful with substance. Why do I feel so betrayed? I know... I have to get over it.

In summary: BOOO!

John Stamos is not a great actor like Al Pachino, who completely loses himself in his character. However, like Pachino, he commands a compelling presence.

The "girls" on the other hand, seem completely natural; must be because of good directing.

Seems more like a movie than typical disney stuff for kids. I am far from being a kid and found this to be a well thought out, coherent and consistently created world which is relatable and draws the viewer in.

There are no stretches of the imagination or breaking of rules in the imaginative world which has been created.

In short; brilliant writing, perfect casting, good acting, moving story and it works on many levels.

The basketball strategy is quite deep and profound and helps to keep an intellectual like myself, stimulated.

Tenet (2020)

Didn't love it

Superior acting, action, actors. But the whole premise of time distortion just seemed far fetched and stupid. If they had left that part out and edited it down to a tight 90 minutes; I would be raving. There were also several plot inconsistencies and at times the dialogue seemed unnatural.

The fifth episode was the most amazing drama I have ever seen. The main character is a psychotherapist and the entire 50 minutes all took place in the office of her psychotherapist. This must have been written by a psychotherapist because the way her therapist speaks with her is with a skill beyond anything I have ever imagined in my background as a psychotherapist. I think I enjoyed every minute of this masterfully told story.

I watched all the episodes in one sitting and it may have been the most exciting and engrossing 2 and a half hours I have experienced watching TV. Full disclosure: I am a Yank. Much of British TV doesn't seem to translate for the culture I come from; growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am proud to shout it from the rooftops that this is the best television I have seen coming from your islands. My previous favorites may have been Secret Agent Man, The Office or Derry Girls. This show never insulted my intelligence with bad story or dialogue or jokes. And Aisling Bea now stands out as the leading talent representing female comedy.

You might be into heavily female/girly centered entertainment, and that is fine. Anyone else would find this to be a little too gyno-centric. Wanted to check it out because Anna Kendrix has the potential to be good. I just found it to be way over the top leaning towards some kind of celebration of a one dimensional caricature of privileged white women.

Maybe it's because I am not young that I could recognize the brilliance of this series. My Grandfather was an army general so I totally understood Steve Carell's character. His acting was at it's peak in this quirky comedy. There is very little low brow humor but lots of clever writing that has given me a lot of laughs. I guess this just proves that you can't please everyone. The typical viewer of modern american content might think this is too eclectic to understand. But if you have had enough of the same old thing you might find this to be delightful.

I was enjoying the series it wasn't fantastic but it was good enough. I get my videos from torrent software and when I started watching this episode I thought that the wrong program has been encoded so I started to redownload a different version but then I checked the IMDb reviews and realized that it had purposely become a completely different show. I found nothing in this new show that appealed to me and I am sorry that the old universe that had been created has now been replaced by this inferior one. I would have given the previous episodes a 6 or 7 review but this one has dropped to a two, consequently I will no longer watch this program

Unbelievable setup, unlikable characters except for female lead. She got me to keep watching. People who liked this must be fans of startling, shocking scenes and gore. Probably for horny male teens and not adults.

She is wonderful, refreshing and appropriate. I have always had trouble accepting the actor when a new doctor shows up. Jodie has got to be the best choice for a female. I found myself liking her more quickly than any other doctor I have watched going all the way back to Baker. Now the bad news: something has changed in the vision. It has gone from science fiction to fantasy. There have been many implausible plot elements that are not possible according to the laws of physics. But on the brighter side, the New Year's episode seemed more back on track. In spite of my criticism, I am totally enjoying it as much or more than any previous doctors.

Lower Learning (2008)

Brilliant dark comedy

I imagine other reviewers found foul mouthed children delivering lines appropriate for gangsters to be in bad taste. But if you can overlook the moral bad taste of child abuse, this film was beautifully written, acted, directed and edited, I laughed a lot at the outrageous pushing of the boundaries of inappropriateness. To summarize, it is understandable that the average viewer would find the humor to be too extreme; but if you can handle politically incorrect, sexually perverse. and gratuitously violent comedy you will give this movie a nine like I did.

Lady Psycho Killer (2015)

Great actress, well written tongue in cheek spoof. I may be weird but she seemed to pull off being very sexy and a killer at the same time. Probably not for traditional horror enthusiasts but it was funny and flowed well, never boring. I think Quentin Tarantino would like this movie. A ream gem more people should know about

Derry Girls (2018–2022)

Being from San Francisco, California; I usually find BBC comedy shows hard to relate to. But the premise of Derry Girls was intriguing enough to give it a try. In spite of the off-putting facial expressions of the lead girl, I have fallen deeply in love with this show and now eagerly await the making of more episodes. All of the casting and performances are so brilliant. The head nun is hysterical. The chemistry of the girls has totally won me over and chick-flick comedy is definitely not my thing. Whoever has created this show is an amazing talent destined for future greatness

Comedy is very subjective and this movie may not be for everyone. In my opinion it totally worked, they really pulled it off. Never stretched the limits of suspension of disbelief while at the same time presented an extremely skewed, quirky character who I found to be engrossing. Woody completely lost himself in the character becoming almost unrecognizable. He is a handsome man but became very unattractive and almost strained credulity when the beautiful actress wanted to begin having sexual relations. But it could be possible for a mentally challenged weirdo who still has such a great body. I am a complete comedy aficionado and constantly searching for new cutting edge material, 99 percent of it is garbage but this passed my rigorous standards to stand out as one of the ten best comedy movies to come out in recent years. I'm giving it nine out of ten stars because it could become overlooked if more uncultivated comedy palates can't "get it"

Horace and Pete (2016)

Like a Eugene O'neill play

Starts out kind of slow and awkward in the first episode. Strange facial expressions and very little action or dialogue. By fifteen minutes in, many interesting characters have entered into the bar and it starts to become interesting. At a half hour I was becoming charmed by the stimulating dialogue and very impressed by the casting which includes many stand up comedy greats doing some serious drama. By 45 minutes I became completely sold and hooked after Steve Buscemi's pivotal performance that just blew me away. Louis CK has done some impressive writing here and it goes a long way to compensate for his acting ability which can be a bit uneven. However unlike his show "Louie," here he is only one member of a very impressive ensemble. I was expecting a comedy but what I got was something I've never seen before on a TV show. This reminded me of "the Iceman Cometh." For a pilot, this was really intriguing. I have high hopes that it continues to develop and doesn't let me down.

Red, White and Blue (1971)

some boring parts but also some very nice clips and interviews with actors, producers and directors in the 1971 "blue movie" scene. I enjoy these retro, vintage, classic type of videos. Partially as ethnographic research and also nostalgia since I was a good red blooded American boy who snuck into the exit of an adult theater when I was fifteen and saw "the devil in miss jones" when it came out. It grossed me out at the time but as I have gotten older I have discovered an appreciation for those old time movies which can occasionally be sexy but more often are amusing, strange, bizarre but seldom boring. so that's my review for Red, White and Blue (1971) a documentary about the hearings of President Nixon's Commission on Obscenity, featuring adult-film producer David F. Friedman (one of the producers of this film) testifying before Congress, and involved in the production of one of his films, "Trader Hornee."

The man has arrived as an all around entertainer

I have been a fan of the podcast for a long time and have caught his stand up acts for the last few times. This one is a triumph of his growth as a performer, This style is like coming to know yourself better, correcting perception and maturing emotionally and spiritually. I relate to his thinking so much, I'm a couple of years older and have even more time practicing the principles on a path of sobriety. I laughed so hard in many parts and never felt like he missed the mark with any awkward jokes. Marc Maron has developed an interesting new gimmick of having an inner blogging critic commenting on the progress, it's a bit reminiscent of Jim Gaffigan's gimmick. It worked really well. Overall the whole flow and pacing of his act has really improved and I have to rate this as the best stand up performance among a field of other great talents.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015– )

Loved the report but now he's been neutered

One of the best political satirists of all time has been neutered by the establishment in a conspiratorial plot to silence a powerful political voice that was weakening their hegemony. Now he has become a fluffy clown with no Cajones who no longer poses a threat to the power elite. Trevor Noah and Bill Maher are the only liberal voices left in opposition to the pernicious system that continues to destroy our planet and the souls of humanity. I loved Steven Colbert like a brother but now he has sold out and I can hardly watch him anymore. If he has an interesting guest on I'll watch the interview but; I must say: what a waste of talent and a brave heart that was in the right place. Where have you gone my little Steven?

Beginner's Guide to Sex (2015)

If you overlook the bad jokes there are lots of good ones

I loved this comedy. I laughed really hard about eight times. It may have been a bit dumb at times but there were many really funny jokes. People who gave it a low rating must be offended by rather graphic explicit sexual language. But if you are not prudish and easily offended, I think you will agree this was some really humorous writing. The acting was also totally decent and the casting of characters was very good in my mind. The thing about comedies is they are very subjective and if you are into sophisticated ironic envelope pushing humor; you may like this as much as I did. I watch a lot of comedies and can hardly remember one that cracked me up as much as this did and I am fairly jaded. The only thing I can think of to compare the style of humor to might be the TV series "Maron"

Pressure (1976)

Well done irrespective of political message

I am a white man from California but I did visit London in 1976. I love Jamaican Rasta culture and music. I found the political message to be very compelling, the characters were all sympathetic and not heavy handed caricatures. Don't really know about the reality of police brutality in this case but would not be surprised. Cinematically,this was very well done, a masterful director. A British-born younger son of an immigrant family from Trinidad finds himself adrift between two cultures. Loved this as a historical window into a fascinating culture. Humor and style

Not a horror genre fan but am a Kevin Smith fan so have to call this one the best horror movie I have seen. Justin Long was great, the female was perfect, the villain was just right. Good casting and great script made this very entertaining. Love the way this writer director relies heavily on witty dialogue. Glad he's back in the game. Peace. Respect This bs requirement to write ten line and not allowing paragraphs and punctuation the way I want is ruining and cramping my style and making me want to give up on participating in trying to offer something here you idiots
