Bollywood eat your heart out

Just got back from watching The Legend of Maula Jatt. I must say it was worth waiting for all these years. Everything about the movie was perfect. The fact that compared to Bollywood etc it was made on a miniscule budget is amazing. Just goes to show that spending 200 crores on making a movie doesn't always mean that it will be good. The casting was perfect, the action scenes were very well choreographed without defying the laws of physics and gravity like Bollywood movies. Great acting and cinematography what's not to like. Watching it one would probably think it cost 200 crores to make. It's epic and yes it's a Pakistani film. I have seen thousands of movies if not more but this gave me goosebumps from the start to the end. I wish they make a sequel.

Sharmaji Namkeen (2022)

Loved it but sad

Good movie yet pained to see that my favourite actor is actually no more and this is his last film. A must watch for all Rishiji fans.

The opening tribute by his son Rambhir Kapoor was emotionally moving. Love from Pakistan.

What can I say about the director Sanjay Gupta. In this day and age of the internet Bollington cannot fool the audience by ripping off foreign movies which are far more original and entertainment.

Dhamaka (2021)

No originality from Bollywood

This is a blatant copy of a Korean movie The Terror Lies. Probably before the internt they could have got away with it. Those giving it top reviews should get out of their fake cinema and embrace international cinema. They don't know what they are missing.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Goosebumps. Best Superhero flick

Absolutely loved it. I've been converted from a Marvel to a DC fan. The aspect ratio was a big let down by me. Why Snyder. They could have at least given us the option to change it on the bluray like we switch audio formats.

Chehre (2021)

It was ok and Amitabh even at this age has not lost his touch. It's not surprising why many any roles are written for him and other actors in the same age bracket are sidelined.

The ending was a let down.

Is Bollockswood running out of ideas that it has to make Pakistan hatred and Islamphobic movies. Thankfully the audience is more intelligent and know that the Pakistanis are not like that and likewise the Pakistanis know that the vast majority of Indians are good and want peace. Unfortunately, the media with their biased and are inaccurate portrayal spoils these overtures. Even Muslims are typecasted making them wear a skull cap, amulet, kohl in the eyes and dresed in shalwar kameez. What world do these producers and directors live in. Pakistani dramas are a rage globally and especially in India. Don't they see how they dress and live. An absolute garbage movie.

Don't Breathe 2 (2021)

Fantastic

I watched the first one and absolutely loved it. Don't know why people are giving it a low score. It's a very worthy sequel. I watched it with my daughters and son and they all enjoyed it thoroughly. Best part was there were no awkward parts which make it difficult for a family audience to view it together. That's why I watch Bond movies at the cinema at home one has to skip so many awkward scenes.

Salem's Lot (2004)

Almost As Good As the original

Lacks atmosphere. Rutger Hauer and Donald Sutherland's characters are not menacing or scary. Each time I saw Rutger he reminded me of Blade Runner. Unknown actors for these two characters would have been better. Especially for Barlow.

Marjaavaan (2019)

OMG what a load of trash this is. Bollywood gone back to the 80's. Typical formula movie but lacking intelligence in all departments even the music is remixed from old Hindi songs, no emotion, poorly choreographed action, sexually objectifying women and the ubiquitous presence of Muslim characters wearing kohl, skull cap, amulet and a shalwar kameez. In one scene a Muslim character is praying when the goons come to beat him up. Not for a second he leaves his prayers and keeps getting trashed. In spite of a huge Muslim population in India Bollywood needs to do alot of research on how Muslims are represented on celluloid. Bollywood has become like a soft industry the way it's objectifying women in almost all it's movies.

High expectations but very disappointing movie. The Indian film industry should come up with new stories and better action sequences. This is a copy of a much much better French film Largo Winch the Heir Apparent. Watch the French version instead of this junk.

I normally don't watch web series but this was something different. Oh Dia Mirza why why don't you make more movies and serials. Your acting was absolute amazing. The serial shows that whether you are a Muslim or Hindu, a Pakistani or Indian both are a victim of the line of control in Kashmir. There is so much in common between the two countries like language ,history ,cuisine, culture etc so why the hatred and mistrust. The actions of a few lunatic terrorists can't define the whole community as terrorists. There's more good than evil in the world. If more serials or movies are made on this line peace between the countries can prevail after all we are humans with shared sentiments of love, compassion and empathy no matter which side of the border one resides

Awful and disgusting story. Couldn't relate to it on any level. I was only excited to see it because both Anil & Sonam Kapoor who are father and daughter in real life were in it. This opportunity was totally wasted.

This has to be one of the best Tamil movies I've seen. I watched it with English subtitles and was blown away. On par with Seven as far as serial killer movies go. Highly highly recommend it.

Teefa In Trouble (2018)

Very Reminiscent of Shrek

Good film but reminded me alot of Shrek. Ali Zafar = Shrek, his friend = Donkey. Obviously Princess Fiona is the main lead actress who instead of being rescued from the castle in this case her parent's (Dragon) palatial house has to be kidnapped and taken back to Far Far Away Lahore Pakistan by Shrek & Donkey so she can marry the son of a gangster (lord Farquard). Oh then you have a character of Andy who is like Prince Charming to create a love triangle. View it again and you will see Shrek plastered all over Queen Lateefa.
