Spectacular performances by Dunst and Gosling!
7 November 2010
"All Good Things" is a love story and murder mystery set against the backdrop of a New York real estate dynasty in the 1980s. Directed by Andrew Jarecki (director of the Academy Award-nominated doc Capturing the Friedmans), the film was inspired by the story of Robert Durst, scion of the wealthy Durst family. Mr. Durst was suspected but never tried for killing his wife Kathie who disappeared in 1982 and was never found. The film stars Ryan Gosling as David Marks, Kirsten Dunst as Katie McCarthy, and Frank Langella as David's father, Sanford Marks.

From the beginning, the relationship between Gosling and Dunst is very intriguing and interesting; possibly the best part of the story. Their chemistry is very believable and charming. As David and Katie start their lives together, everything seems perfect. However, all good things must come to an end.

David's father does not approve of Katie or of David's lifestyle. Disappointment is all he sees in his son. David seeks to please his father, even if that risks his own happiness. Katie becomes increasingly independent, hoping for more out of their happy life and marriage. David likes things as they are. Soon enough, secrets from his past slowly begin to surface, resulting in mistakes and consequences that cannot be changed. I won't mention details into David's past, but it soon becomes apparent that this happy marriage wasn't meant to be. Jarecki does a very good job of showing us a perfect marriage as it slowly crumbles and falls into nothing. It's very effective, and at times, tough to watch.

Although it is difficult to get into his character, Gosling is superb. He does the best of what can be done with a character that isn't given easy material to work with. It's quite sad to see a character who obviously needs help, but is never able to get it. Dunst gives an incredible performance. She stole the show. Her character is of a woman who loves her "prince charming" with everything that she has, but as their relationship dies, she slowly disintegrates into an abused mess. Dunst gives one of the best performances of her career.

The first half of the film was good. Jarecki, however, did have issues with piecing together the second half of the film. This is when the supporting characters of the film became an important part in moving the story along. Truthfully, we did not know or care enough about some of these characters. It was difficult becomes there was no one that we could really root for. It was still interesting, but not nearly as good as the first half. Everyone gave great performances. Lily Rabe, Kristen Wiig, and Philip Baker Hall were wonderful. Not one bad performance out of the entire cast.

"All Good Things" is an intriguing story that studies two people as they rise to their greatest, but unfortunately fall to their worst. The performances make this film worthwhile. The film isn't perfect, but I found it to be a very interesting portrayal of a true story that will clearly blow your mind.

Halloween II (2009)
7/10
Better Than Expected.
30 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Last night I went to the 10:30 showing of Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. A few days before I had read all of the terrible reviews and went in with lower expectations. Let's just say, I'm glad I did. Just about everyone is saying this, but the hospital scene in the beginning was pure brilliance. I was very surprised about that. I was also surprised how damn brutal this film was. I don't know what the MPAA was thinking, but H2 definitely does NOT stray away from the excessive brutal violence.

What I liked about Halloween 2 was that Rob definitely wasn't afraid to make this his own vision. From all the crap that he'd be getting, it didn't follow your normal Hollywood teen slasher flick. I really admire that. I also thought the acting was very good. I particularly liked Brad Dourif, Danielle Harris, and Scout Taylor-Compton. When I had read in an interview where Scout had been saying that H2 literally drained all of her energy out, she wasn't kidding. Her performance is raw and very real.

Compared to Rob's first attempt at Halloween, H2 is more suspenseful and intense. This one had a more gritty uncomfortable feel to it. Definitely more like a Rob Zombie film. That is why I think Halloween 2 is better than Rob's first Halloween. With Halloween, Rob had to stay closer to the original Halloween, and Rob can't really do that. Two very different styles that only clash when you try to create a happy medium. I enjoyed the first Halloween, but some parts just felt like a jumbled mess. It was mostly decent.

I did like H2 better, but the film had some serious flaws. For one, turning Loomis into a complete douche was a definite no no. Loomis is an incredible character within the Halloween franchise. In this film, he's nothing special here. Loomis is pointless, and when he quickly shows up at the end to try to make things better, it completely fails, and when he gets killed off, I had absolutely no sympathy. Another thing that got me a tad annoyed was the Deborah Myers/Young Michael Myers part of the story. I really really tried to accept the fact that this is Zombie's vision and however demented it may be, the Michael visions would be unique and compelling. I was alright with the majority of it, but Sheri Moon Zombie and the new kid who plays young Michael Myers were terrible. As a whole though, I did like the concept. There were also a few problems with a few random killings that had rarely any significance.

In all, I did enjoy H2. I didn't love it, but I thought it would be way worse. The intense dramatic feel added along with a few really great kills make this a worthy Zombie film. Then again, I had known going in that this would be VERY different from your regular Halloween film. This one had guts and I liked that. H2 really is a roller-coaster ride. The emotion in this film just screams out to you and grabs you in. The ending was also brilliant. Seeing Laurie Strode walk out with the Myers mask on gave me EXTREME chills. H2 had its pretty big flaws, but the overall product was very intense, heartbreaking, and a worthy entry into the Michael Myers legacy. 8/10

Adam (I) (2009)
9/10
A Beautiful Film.
13 August 2009
Having seen "Adam" just last night, I can definitely say that it is one of the year's best and most touching romantic comedies.

"Adam" stars Hugh Dancy as a man living with Asperger's syndrome who does his best to reach out to his pretty new upstairs neighbor. Due to his condition, Adam isn't the best when it comes to communicating. Though he frequently escapes by submersing himself in the world of space exploration, Adam senses an opportunity for a real human connection after Beth (Rose Byrne) moves into the apartment just upstairs. As Adam attempts to gain control of his off-kilter, sometimes embarrassing social skills, he discovers that with a little patience and understanding, developing a meaningful relationship might not be as hard as he previously thought.

The story is definitely sounds like a different kind of romantic comedy, and that is what it is. It's very different. The relationship between Hugh Dancy and Rose Byrne is very genuine. It's very real. The struggles both go through in the film are very well portrayed. Hugh Dancy is wonderful. He had the tough challenge to portray someone who had Asperger's syndrome. His performance was so beautifully done. He was great. Rose Byrne was also brilliant. Her character is attracted to Dancy's character, and further along in the film, she realizes being in a relationship with someone who has Asperger's is definitely something that won't be easy. Byrne's character goes through a lot in the film, and tries to juggle everything with all normal expected human emotion that goes with it. Her character definitely learns a lot throughout the film. Byrne is amazing. Having never heard of Asperger's syndrome before, I walked in with no knowledge of it. The film handled it very well. That's all I can say. It left me with a new interest for Asperger's.

The film had its quirks, smiles, screams, laughs, and tears, but the final product of "Adam" is definitely something to be admired. I'm very glad I saw this film. I recommend this film for everyone. It's a changing film. It changed me. See it. 9/10

Laughably Bad..
6 June 2009
Just saw this movie early this afternoon and wow! This movie is beyond stupid. I'll admit I did laugh, but not because of how funny the storyline was. I didn't clutch the seat with intense excitement from it's perilous action sequences and I didn't walk out feeling satisfied. I laughed because the film was pretty horrible. Nothing really flowed together and the storyline is utter stupidity. The acting was decent, but some of the dialog was kind of goofy. Not in a charming way. Many times throughout the film I sat there with a confused stare. The movie was going nowhere. The villains are VERY dull. In fact, everything is dull. Nothing seems to have the drive, passion, or energy to make it work. Nothing is taken seriously. I realize it's a comedy, so why should it be taken seriously? BUT it was as if the writers were okay with making a mediocre comedy flick with absolutely nothing to write home about. Will Ferrell tries his best, but even that didn't save the film. The film is aimed towards children, but it is NOT a film for children. There is coarse language, sexual references, and drug content. Will Ferrell even mouths the f bomb once. This will get most parents very angry because as it is advertised as a fun family film, it is far from it. This is one of its main flaws. Younger people would like it for it's entertaining crude humor and childish stupidity, BUT it's not a film for younger people. That's how it fails. It's too dumb for anyone old enough too see it and too explicit for anyone young enough that would find it entertaining. I'll admit there were one or two times I did laugh out of entertainment, but the rest of time, I laughed at how nonsensical, stupid, and pointless the film was. I was interested from the beginning, but as the movie progressed it just turned into one big giant failure. Land of the Lost ends with a dumb storyline, lacking creativity/energy, and some humiliatingly non funny jokes. Skip it. 4/10

Cabin Fever (2002)
7/10
Not bad but..
19 August 2008
Cabin Fever really had potential to be a truly amazing horror film, but overall it ends up being an average B movie. Before seeing this I looked at all the reviews on here and thought it would be utterly terrible, but after seeing it, I thought it to be a really enjoyable fun horror film. It's shocking and some parts were even suspenseful and quite scary. Sure, it's not perfect. The film is very cliché, some scenes are stupid, and some of the logic of the film is undeniably eyebrow raising. The acting isn't perfect, but it's decent. Taking the film as a serious horror film, over analyzing every detail, and keeping a checklist of all the mistakes it made will just end up with extreme hate for the film. I admit, even though you're supposed to take the film lightly, some scenes just can't surpass extreme stupidity. But overall, Cabin Fever is a very entertaining horror/comedy flick to be taken for a night of truly enjoyable popcorn fun.

Luckytown (2000)
3/10
Not a great movie but..
11 August 2008
Luckytown can be an entertaining flick to watch with a group of friends. Disregarding all of the goofy duologue, overused storyline, and some lazy character development, Luckytown could actually be a fun movie. Try not to take it too seriously, even though it tries too hard to be serious. The only real complaints I had was the acting of Vincent Kartheiser. His duologue was very cheesy at times and his acting didn't make it any better. I really liked Luis Guzman. I also liked James Caan and Kirsten Dunst. There are some decent action scenes and the relationship of Lidda and Colonial can be very interesting at times. I thought the director really tried to give a good effort, even though a lot of the film fails. To enjoy this Luckytown you have to go in with a sense of just wanting to see an entertaining film. Don't expect it to be amazing. But overall take Luckytown as a fun popcorn movie!

I Can't Get Enough Of This Movie!
18 June 2008
I love Lost In Translation! There is so much emotion and beauty, and it's so unique and original. There has never been another movie that's made me feel a certain way, each and every time I view it. The themes of friendship and finding yourself are all apparent in everyone's lives at one point, and you can really relate to it. The more serious tones of the movie and the beautiful cinematography are gorgeous and really leave a mark after the movie is over. It is ranked up there as my favorite movie next to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! The acting is truly amazing. Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson are perfect for their roles and could not have done a better job! Bill plays the depressed actor pitch perfect with his usual quirky humor along the way. Scarlett is incredible as the young woman questioning her marriage and trying to find herself along the way. She really brings a sophisticated kind of sexiness to the role. The music is probably one of my favorites. It conveys the movie's themes beautifully. If you ever get a chance, go out and see this movie. The originality, acting, directing, musical score, photography, and themes all shine during the movie and even after the movie is over! 10/10

The Strangers (2008)
7/10
Decent Horror Film
3 June 2008
I've have seen many of the reviews for the new horror film, The Strangers, and after just coming back from seeing it, I think it's safe to say it's not a bad horror film. I heard people on here saying that The Strangers is better than Halloween and The Shining. Not true. The Strangers is good, but not that good. The plot is mostly realistic, making the film pretty damn disturbing and freaky when the credits start rolling. The acting is very believable. The masks were pretty scary, and some of the acts the strangers went through with were crazy. I have to admit, at times I was dug down into my seat with my hand over my mouth, my eyes squinting fearfully, and my teeth gritted tight. This is one of those rare movies that made me look behind me to see if "anything was there". Although the film is a shocker, some of the couple's choices of what to do and where to go weren't too smart, and a film that tries to be very realistic needs smart actions. At times, I was in awe about how stupid some of the actions were. But hey, it's a horror movie right? Expected. One of the main problems I had with The Strangers was how long it took for the masked strangers to actually DO SOMETHING. Most of the movie they would show up, taunt them, leave, then show up again, taunt them, leave, then show up again and taunt them again! The cycle continued and I wanted something to happen. So part of me wants to say that it can get very slow at times, therefore changing my opinion of the film a lot. I expected more, but overall the suspense is there for A LOT of the movie, which is very uncommon. The ending is very real and brutal, leaving an uncomfortable tone when it's over. The Strangers is going to have many different after tastes when it's over depending on the viewer's horror movie preferences. The truth is, The Strangers is a decent horror movie. And after hearing that this is the director's first horror film, I was very impressed. Not as good as I would've liked it to be, but we can't all have the whole package. The Strangers is sure to leave viewers startled and scared.

The Ruins (2008)
8/10
Truly Horrific!
5 April 2008
The Ruins is probably one of the best horror movies i've seen in a while. The film is very effective and is definitely the only horror film this year that left that uncomfortable knot in my stomach. When i think of a horror film, I expect to see a film that truly scares you and makes you uncomfortable. Horror movies nowadays do not do that. Heck, most of the time your sitting there laughing at the screen. The Ruins actually brought back that uncomfortable feeling but still made the movie entertaining. The acting is very good for a horror film. The only complaints I have is how fast the 4 Americans decide to join the German. It seemed like only a minute after meeting that they decided to join each other. Also, I didn't like how the film kept building up but the ending was kind of a letdown, not too much of a problem in the scheme of things. I still enjoyed it. Overall, the film is amazing and I do recommend it to horror buffs who are looking for a change in the horror genre. The Ruins is scary, intense, shocking, crazy, freaky, and downright horrific. This is definitely the best horror film of the year.

Halloween (1978)
10/10
One Of The Best Horror Movies Of All Time!
29 October 2007
Halloween is definitely one of the best and scariest horror film ever in my opinion. It is extremely creepy and bone chilling. Watching this in pitch black in the middle of the night will guarantee difficulty getting to sleep. If your looking for perfect horror, this is for you. Now, there are some people who may not like it. Gorehounds and other fans looking for "gnarly and insane" horror. Or in other word, recent hard R scary movies, like Texas Chainsaw Massacre (still a good movie), The Hills Have Eyes, Hostel, and other gory flicks. No, if your only looking for movies like those, this won't work for you. But if your looking for genuine horror, keep reading. This movie isn't superbly intense or bloody, but it is very creepy and suspenseful creating the overall scare level to the max. I enjoyed it very much and according to the IMDb rating, so did a lot of people. Who can blame them? This movie deserves the rating, as well as the occasional nightmares to come with. As a die-hard horror fan, Halloween is placed on the shelves of horror's glory. Go watch it, see for yourself. It's perfect.

Spirited Away (2001)
10/10
A Wonderful Film.
16 October 2007
Spirited Away is a very strange yet wonderful film, with elements extremely bizarre. But there's something about it that makes it so magical. The characters are beyond hard to figure out and the storyline goes everywhere. You never know what's going to happen. Whenever I watch this, afterward, the movie sticks with me, and I think about it for a while, trying to establish a certain connection. But the connection was always there, its just putting it together. All the characters are very diverse and interesting. Spirited Away is a very good movie with an extreme amount of growth with all the characters, and maybe even the viewer themselves. Not my favorite movie of all time, but it deserves a standing ovation, and even more. 10/10

My Favorite Movie! The Most Beautiful! Dreamy! and Wonderful Movie Of The Year!
15 October 2007
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was by far, in my opinion, the best movie of 2004. It makes you feel grateful for who you have in your life. There were also so many different genres that it's impossible to place it in just one. Comedy, mystery, and drama, all wonderful elements of the movie. When you're finished watching this, the utmost joy, love, wonder, and thankfulness is completely drowned upon you. The story is absolutely magical and the acting was phenomenal! All of this deserved many Academey Awards! Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet are very gifted actors, and Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo, and Tom Wilkinson all did incredible as well! Out of any movie I recommend this, because it makes you feel so many different emotions in only a short amount of time. Eternal Sunshine is a very poignant, dreamy, and mysterious movie of love and memories.

Hostel (2005)

Physiological Scares
15 October 2007
Recently I picked up Hostel at my local movie store and decided to give it a try. I finished watching it and had very mixed feelings. First off, this film is not nearly as gory and disgusting as advertised. It is although, very graphic, and NOT for the squeamish, I just expected more out of it. The pop-up scares aren't effective and the first half of the movie is all soft-core porn. So what makes this movie a decent horror movie? The physiological scares. That is what got to me. The overwhelming feeling of being tied and up and tortured to death. Having no escape. For that was very effective and stomach curdling. The sex and nudity was all not needed, but for people looking for that kind of stuff, it's all here. The acting was pretty good. No bad performances. Hostel is a kind of movie where you'll either love it or hate it. But overall, an OK horror film. Not my favorite, but not terrible.

The Thirteenth Year (1999 TV Movie)
6/10
Decent
3 October 2007
The Thirteenth Year is a very entertaining Disney Channel movie. It is definitely not of one of Disney Channel's best, but it's OK. One thing that was a negative was the acting and dialog. I know this is a Disney movie, but the acting is very unbelievable at times, especially by the main character, Cody. The chemistry between the mermaid mother and Cody also felt kind of awkward. The dialog is also cheesy at time, but this is expected. But on the good side the makeup of the mermaid was very nice though and was a big plus. The story is entertaining and sure to keep you interested. and overall the good outweighs the bad. The Thirteenth Year isn't amazing but a really entertaining flick. Enjoy.

Halloween (2007)

Admirable Effort.
31 August 2007
I did like this new take on Halloween. Try not to compare this to the original. You will downright hate this one if you do. I was able to like it because I was able to accept it as a film of its own. The violence is very gratuitous, as expected in a Rob Zombie film. I did also like the refreshing take on the back-story of Michael Myers. It was very interesting, but not really scary. Halloween is a very intense and disturbing film, but most of it didn't feel incredible. The acting wasn't bad, especially compared to a Horror flick. This is barely scary, but Zombie's attempt at making Michael Myers interesting was well done. That's what I like about Rob Zombie. His unique visions are very vivid and even if they don't exactly work like he wants them to. I do respect his effort. Halloween is a new refreshing take on a series that has become quite dead. 6.5-7/10

Grindhouse (2007)

Brilliant Entertainment at the Movies!!
12 June 2007
Planet Terror and Death Proof are todays back to back grind house motion pictures. Grindhouse is a cinema which played back to back movies which were generally a shocker. The movies would be pushed past the limit to guarantee entertainment and usually involve explicit violence, sex, language, and other extreme material. The movies weren't much but they'd be sure to entertain you!

Planet Terror was directed by Robert Rodriguez. It's amazing! I've never been so entertained with the explosive action or the experiencing of the shocking jaw dropping sensation from the frequent shocker. Planet Terror is sure to please. Action, humor, and gore are in millions! Rodriguez does a great job keeping you very entertained. Planet Terror does what a grind house motion picture is supposed to do and more! 9/10

The in between trailers were hysterical and made a great addition to the movies! The best trailer for me would be either, Thanksgiving or Machete. Both of these are eye catchers, especially Thanksgiving =] They both were shocking and fun. 8.5/10

Death Proof is the second film directed by Quentin Tarantino. I love Tarantino's works, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, etc. Kurt Russel is incredible and is perfect for the villain. He catches your eye and is generally creepy as well. The story for Death Proof is very creative and the action scenes were really intense and suspenseful. I love how the film builds up, like all Tarantino films do, but when you reach the climax you get one hell of an adrenaline fueled, heart racing, scream your lungs out terror. Total kick ass. Death Proof definitely tops as one of Tarantino's best, and also does what Grindhouse is supposed to do. It's genius! 9/10

In conclusion, I recommend seeing Grindhouse, it's INCREDIBLE! If you are in to this kind of stuff, you will have a blast! Grindhouse brings something totally new to today's cinema thats sure to bring audiences screaming for more. Only at THE GRINDHOUSE. 9/10

Disturbia (2007)
8/10
I Loved it!!
14 April 2007
Disturbia was very suspenseful and intense, but also added great comedic moments, which I think was a great mix. In Disturbia, you never know whats going to happen and all the cast were amazing. Not one bad performance. Disturbia is unique because compared to some recent PG-13 horror flicks, this one is very suspenseful and has an excellent story. All the characters have their own personality and are likable, so you do care about them and their fate. There are some jumpy scenes, but the tension mostly comes from suspense and not knowing whats gonna happen next. Is Disturbia going to be called one of the most scariest films ever? No. But will it entertain you and give you a good time? Yes. When I say, entertaining and a good time, I don't mean a terrible movie but with good gore, and cheesy popcorn scenes that are only mean't to be viewed with a group of friends. When I say entertaining and a good time, I mean that Disturbia has great suspense, is very intense, likable characters, and a bone chilling plot. Disturbia does not need to be a bad movie, to be a good movie. Disturbia may be similar to Rear Window but do not ruin your experience by comparing them and calling this a rip off. You will like this movie if you go and expect a movie of its own. Like I said, Disturbia is a great movie. Go and see it and have a good time.

Fun!!
4 April 2007
Black Christmas is a really fun movie with good gore and hilarious dark comedy. Don't get me wrong, Black Christmas is a terrible film, but take it is a fun film. Not scary, but at points, tense and suspenseful. Don't expect the original because it's far from it. I like that to some extent because it makes it its own movie and thats really unique. Of course, being different, doesn't change it in all good ways. Many scenes could've been very intense but were let down because of the sudden comedy. If you do compare the original to this, i do think you will not like this movie. The original is scary, at points, and fans of the original WILL be expecting this to meet up to its standards. Don't compare it. The remake is its own movie and is meant to be fun and entertaining. It succeeds in that. If you are a fan of horror and are wanting to watch a fun, entertaining film, then you will enjoy this. Black Christmas is fun, gory, suspenseful, over the top, and entertaining. Enjoy!

Very Good Remake!
2 February 2007
Here it is, usually remakes are horrible. Usually nothing is as great as the original. I wasn't expecting a full throttle horror freak out but I wasn't expecting a cheap piece of trash. Lets just say that The Hills Have Eyes totally changed my perspective on remakes! This movie was insane! Great scares, good gore, sweat breaking suspense, and a terrifying storyline. The brilliant thing about The Hills Have Eyes is that you care for the characters and through every scene your cheering them on to kill those creatures. You can feel their pain through every scene and that just makes the movie even better. This is not for the weak stomach, there is definitely some disturbing content. But if your in to these kind of movies and you can handle gore and some big entertainment, scares, thrills, and suspense. Then you will definitely enjoy The Hills Have Eyes.

Better than Date Movie...
27 January 2007
Now i'm giving this a 5 because I saw this with a group of friends and it made it more fun, but if i saw this by myself, I wouldn't of given it a 5. It's not that good but I did laugh a couple times. This film definitely isn't to be taken seriously. It's good hearted fun and seeing with friends makes it even better. Don't expect a hysterical unique movie but go expecting to laugh and have fun in the process. At first i thought this movie was to be terrible, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Epic Movie is better than Date Move, but not as good as the Scary Movie series. All I'm gonna say is that if you want to enjoy this movie, see with friends, it makes the ride more fun and enjoyable. 5/10

Beautiful..
22 October 2006
This is such a wonderful artistic film. Sofia Coppola nails it down and succeeds. This is a great film that shows you Marie Antoinette from her own view. Not from the people in Versaille. From the start you can feel her pain and her longing to escape and just be a regular girl. Being a Queen isn't a walk in the park as portrayed many times. She was young and too young to reign... and as said in the film " God guide us and protect us, we are too young to reign" and this is said by Jason Shwartzman. The acting is phenomenal! Kirsten Dunst was perfect for the role and Jason Shwartzman was great also. I loved the movie but I gave this a 8 out of 10 because, even though i love Sofia's view and direction, the story has elements where it's confusing and at times you don't know why something is happening. I know this movie just directs on Marie Antoinette but at times i'd liked to know what was going on. But overall I enjoyed it immensely!! Go and see it!!!!

Terrifying!
20 August 2006
The Descent truly scared the hell out of me. I'm a huge horror fanatic and I don't usually get scared when it comes to scary movies now a days, but I have to admit that The Descent actually brought heart pounding fear as I sat there in the theater. To prove that point, this was the first horror movie that I watched in the theater that actually made me scream. I love that The Descent isn't just about the creatures but the relationships between the characters, as well as the claustrophobic, tightened up feeling you get when they're inside the cave. Sure the creatures freaked me out, but The Descent didn't stop there and that's what I like about it. The Descent is the BEST and SCARIEST horror film of the twentieth century. It's that good. 10/10

Prepare yourself....

Scary Movie was a hilarious movie that spoofs off many popular horror movies...it was genius.. Making spoof movies are extremely difficult because you have to make it funny enough so everyone will enjoy it..that's not easy. Everyone has different tastes and most likely people wont like it. Scary Movie achieves to deliver to many people...more than i thought. Its very crude but its still awesomely done. It was hilarious but also stupid. It's a great comedy!! I recommend this for moviegoers who want to laugh. I was amazed by the reviews for this film because spoof movies tend to not really succeed. But this got many positive reviews. Kudos to Shawn and Marlon Wayans. They made a very enjoyable spoof movie to be enjoyed for many years.

A Fun Horror Flick
9 February 2006
House of Wax is a very fun and entertaining horror flick. Nothing special, but really fun. Very creepy and disturbing. Some parts are suspenseful and gory mixed in with comedy. The acting is great for a horror film so I was very impressed with that aspect. Elisha Cuthbert was wonderful, no surprise there, and Paris Hilton wasn't too bad either. The visuals are pretty incredible, and the storyline is very unsettling. I wouldn't say that House of Wax would go on anyones top horror films of all time, but it's better than some of the trash thats been released recently. So sit back and enjoy. House of Wax is surely one hell of a fun horror flick.

Hide and Seek (2005)

Creepy

Hide and Seek is a very creepy thriller with an ending very shocking. The acting is very good. Dakota Fanning and Robert DeNiro were on top of their game and their performances shined throughout. I also liked Famke Jansson and Elisabeth Shue. They did a wonderful job in their roles as well. Hide and Seek isn't necessarily scary, but very suspenseful and sure to keep you guessing until the end. I recommend seeing it because it is quite entertaining and a very enjoyable film

Hide and Seek won't break barriers in the horror/thriller genre but be prepared to have a good time. Hide and Seek is a great edge of your seat thriller!
