Full House (1987)
Not as good as I thought.
I used to love watching Full House when I was like 11. Now, at the age of 16, I have completely grown up and realized just how stupid it really is. Last month, I was watching one episode and I asked myself, "Is this supposed to be funny?".
All that was on that show was lame jokes, horrible actors, and the girls were getting away with murder. The girls talked back, sneaked out of the house, and one of the girls even slammed the door in her dad's face. If I ever did any of those things, I would get a whipping or a grounding from my mom. Basically, the girls' only punishment was a talking-to and a hug from one of the adults.
I also heard two words on Full House that really offended me. I heard the words "he**" and "jack***" on that show, and that's also why I stopped watching it. I can't stand any of FH's actors and actresses either. If I ever have any children in the future, I probably won't let them watch this show because it's been a bad influence on me.
Wheel of Fortune (1983)
This show is still good, but it has gone downhill.
I have been watching Wheel of Fortune since I was a toddler and I really used to love it. My grandparents were even addicted to that show, but they passed away last year. But that show has gotten worse as the years went by. I think they should get rid of the unnecessary "Prize Puzzle" and "Spin I.D" promotions. The bonus round also needs to go back to the W-H-E-E-L format, which they had until 2001. I don't really care for the new mini wheel used in the bonus round these days. Also, there is way too much screaming, too much hugging, and there are a lot of moronic contestants on WOF today. Fortunately, I still watch this show occasionally, but not too often. My rating: 6.5/10
Father and Scout (1994)
Biggest waste of 10 dollars
A few years ago, I found out that Father and Scout was on TV one week through my local TV-station listings. For some crazy reason, I used to like this movie. I later rented it from one of my local video stores. I always thought I was one of the dorkiest people in the world because I thought this film was good. My mom even bought me this movie for Christmas 3 years ago. Today, in a grown-up young woman's point of view, I believe this movie is horrible. The scenes were not at all funny, the acting was terrible, and it didn't have a good plot. This movie also had people getting hurt and I even saw one of the actors in it throw a screaming fit because he was getting wet. I also saw 2 people fight in the movie. It looked like some of the boys fighting at school. This movie costed $10 at my video store and I wish I could have my money back. I think I'll throw it in the trash or burn it because it may be too late to return it now.
Clueless (1995)
I can relate to this!
I love this movie! I saw it on TV 3 years ago and I read the book. Both the movie and the book were awesome, so at my hometown's flea market, I purchased this movie from one of the vendors. I can really relate to the storyline because I'm a teenager myself. I especially liked the shopping scenes in this film. I also liked the driving scenes and the fabulous partying in the movie. This is now one of my favorite movies and I watch it often. I also read the book of the same name as the movie over and over. I also relate to Clueless because I'm getting ready to start driving, I'm in high school, and I love shopping. I highly recommend purchasing it! You won't be disappointed!
America's Funniest Home Videos (1989)
I don't like this show anymore.
I used to love watching America's Funniest Home Videos until a few months ago. In February of this year, I realized how stupid this show really is. All I saw was people getting hurt, doing gross things, kids who throw tantrums and scream bloody murder when they don't get their way, and cruelty to animals. Ha-ha; Too funny. NOT. I'll never go back to watching AFV and wasting my time again. My mom and the rest of my family members have watched it since it first premiered and I think they are the only people who still like it. Whenever I trip or fall down, my brother always laughs at me. I think he learned to do it because of AFV. This show needs to go off the air for good-enough is enough. Whenever this show is on, I make myself go outside or to another room.
