Ticket to Paradise (2022)
I Hardly Saw any Comedy...
I Hardly Saw any Comedy in this movie, and the romance felt unattractive.
A lot of bright colors and very nice view it is true, but other than that nothing.
I didn't sense any chemistry between the main characters and it didn't make any sense for me. I meant from hating each other to loving each other, I didn't feel natural.
Any comedy in the movie? Well, I don't remember anything that made me laugh. I even struggled to finish the movie.
I will not even talk about the end and whether it was predictable or not... Not even worth it!
It felt that the only people that enjoyed this movie were fans of the main characters...
Nope (2022)
Not bad but very long
Half of the movie was enjoyable but the other half was very very very long, and unbearable to watch.
I never understood long shot where nothing happens. Building tension can be done differently and far better.
Again, no need to have 2h10 for this movie.
Acting was not bad but nothing spectacular.
I rewatched the scene with the kids (disguised as aliens). At first, it was really scary, I admit that. However watching it again made it so funny to watch. I don't know if this is a good thing or not, since it makes watching the movie a second time not worth it. I always feel that a movie that you can watch multiple times is a good movie.
Soorarai Pottru (2020)
Every Indian movie is the best movie ever
It was a real pain to watch this movie till the end.
This movie did a really good job making me not get hooked to the story at all.
Half of the movie is in slow mo.
I am not even going to talk about the predictability of every move.
Thank you for making a potentially inspiring journey an absolute disaster.
Jai Bhim (2021)
Overrated
Cringy acting and the worst voice-over ever.
The story is OK.
Anyway, it is the usual Indian drama. Nothing special.
But at least, it is not really that boring.
The acting of some characters is so bad. You can see that they are acting, acting bad.
They tried something rather different with the songs, but meh, waste of time.
I give it a 4 for the humanitarian message, and that it is a true story.

Talking about overrated Indian movies
Indian movies are little bit overrated, now that is a fact!
I usually enjoy Indian movies, as they have a way to make me get emotionally attached to characters.
However, this one, oh boy. It didn't make me care one bit! I even find it hard to view the father as abusive or oppressive. If I steal my father's car to go to the bar and get drunk or get expelled from school, do I expect my father to give me a hug when I get back??
The kid is disrespectful, a troublemaker. He shouldn't expect anything than what is happening to him.
About Arjun, the little kid, well yeah. To get beaten like that is unacceptable. But now, he isn't the main character.
On the other hand, I don't get how is it hard to become a writer and run a factory, a family business. The boy is pretty darn good that he doesn't need to go to school to become a writer, he already is. (according to the movie).
I gave it 4 stars only because at the end there is one scene that felt somehow satisfying. (definitely not because of Rohan, maybe because of Arjun).
A Wednesday (2008)
Cringy, waste of time
At first I was reaaaally surprised when I saw the duration of the movie. It is an Indian movie, right? :p
Anyway, waste of time.
Cringy voice-over, average acting and can't relate to any of the characters, nor sympathize with them.
What I understood of this movie: It is okay to blow up people.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
Most of the reviews trying to explain to You the meaning of the movie
I went and watched a video trying to give some explanations to this movie.
Well, some of the scenes became more interesting after that.
So for me, this movie was a failure.
It is like reading a book, but you realizing you need to read another to enjoy the first.
Simply put, I think the movie is trying so hard to be "deep", but failed.
Extraction (2020)
Enjoyed the awesome action, but ...
The action scenes are awesome. It kept me hooked to the movie despite the few lack of logic of space and time.
My big problem with this movie is the moral choices in it.
I find it unbelievable and morally unacceptable that the life of an innocent child is in any case more important than the life of the hundreds of policemen and military who died in this movie. They are not gang members.
Anyone in these countries know that the average police officer or soldier is (also) a father who just wants to provide for his family. An innocent person who has absolutely nothing to do with the corruption of higher ranks.
Therefore, I couldn't be fully emotionally committed to this movie.
The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019)
I've had it with dog movies
A dog so smart that he knows what glucose and metabolism are, but not enough so that he can cross blindly a street full of cars. (Well, we need some drama don't we)
A family so happy that they almost never fight and a wife is so supportive that looks unreal.
Also, can't have a dog movie without talking or hinting about "incarnation".
All these people, letting children die in the streets, but treat an animal better than they treat other human beings!
I see them everyday talking to their dogs the way they talk to humans, and they fill our heads with some crap like the dog can understand. No way that dogs understand words! They understand actions, myabe emotions but not words!
Dogs are so overrated.
Back to the movie, the story, without Enzo's perspective, is dull, unoriginal and fake. So, not interesting.
Don't get me wrong. I find Enzo cute. I loved the analogy between racing and life. It is just not that great of a movie. Especially when we are talking two hours.
The Death of Dick Long (2019)
A Waste of Time
There is no comedy in this movie. Talking about dark comedy is an overstatement.
What a waste of my time.
Citizen Kane (1941)
What a disappointment
I watch a lot of movies, and every now and then I watch one of the classics, or you can call them old movies.
The day before I watched Witness for the Prosecution. I am familiar with Agatha Christie's work, so I wasn't deceived.
Today, I told myself Citizen Kane should be the one I should be watching in this Sunday night.
The first fifteen minutes I stopped watching and went to grab something to eat. I said to myself, this movie looks boring, I don't think I like it, however I will give it a chance. Never a classic have failed me!
Well not his one.
I really tried to enjoy it, but couldn't!
It was simply a description of the life of an "ordinary" man. Nothing particular at all.
Ordinary does not oppose to rich or important. I mean his life wasn't particular. I am amazed how one managed to create a movie out of it.
The whole movie tries to give importance to this man's life, but failed. Even the mysterious last word was for me an attempt to make this person important, but it also failed.
I saw that some people talk about how good the cinematography is in this movie. If the plot fails you, no cinematography in the world will save you.
I am really deceived.
Mandy (2018)
Did NOT enjoy a second of it
I rarely give one 1 star rating, but I cannot seem to find anything slightly good or near that in this movie.
I like Nicholas Cage, but absolutely not in this movie...
Such a waste of time.
I put it some in 8x speed or more, and for a long time nothing happens, just a person walking...
How It Ends (2018)
Is it a commercial for Cadillac? Waste of time
The moment Tom (Forest Whitaker) died, the movie did too.
Weirdly after that, even the acting was cringy.
I did not mind not answering "how it ends" or why/how it happened. I say the movie takes it from the surviving point of view.
I did not mind the ending neither, because I already stopped caring. It consolidated my opinion on the movie.
Is it a commercial for Cadillac? I actually paused the movie and went to check the cadillac cts prices. I am seriously thinking about getting one. The car is pretty nice. Should have the money though.
Next Gen (2018)
For kids!
If you are 7 years old, this movie may be for you.
Otherwise, I didn't even enjoy a second of it.
The Yellow Birds (2017)
Meh!
The movie was OK. Nothing special. I slept right in the middle of it.
Just a remark, It felt weird watching a movie where locals speak Moroccan and it was supposed to be in Irak.
Many people speak many languages, please don't insult us. I speak 5 languages.
Makes me remember when actors speak German in movie. Most of the time, it has nothing to do with German.
Leave No Trace (2018)
Such a waste!
The acting of Tom was exceptional.
I enjoyed the first hour and never got bored of the long silenced scenes.
Until...
Well until I couldn't get it anymore. No motives are explained, and therefore lost attachment to the characters.
I wish more explanation was shown.
Such a waste because I am sure I will forget about this movie very, very soon.
Like Father (2018)
I cannot take it anymore with this garbage movies
Way too predictable, the cast was good except for Kristen Bell, she is like the worst.
The story seems to be written by a 5 years old and doesn't make any sense... at all.
You Were Never Really Here (2017)
Boring and over-rated
I don't find anything special about this movie. I got bored quickly.
Making me trying to figure out the plot is awful.
What is the purpose? I didn't care one bit about any of the characters, even the one I SHOULD care about!
Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004)
Absolutely useless
I only watched it because I watched the first one and I am kind of a collector ( I just wanted to add it to my watched list ). Well, I hated the first one. The second one, extremely predictable with just a little bit of attention and again boring. How possible is that she didn't even suspected that she had a daughter but instantly believe she has one when seeing a child with Bill!! I just don't get it, did Bill know that its his child before trying to kill her? Because if yes, why shoot her in the head? why kill his daughter? If not, how did he know? He realized when he heard "it's your b..."? Now, that's the worst explanation. I mean, the characters' motivations are absurd! And yes, a lot of clichés! Intentional, unintentional, the result is just boring! I fail to understand why the movie is highly rated! Last thing, every second in the movie, I hate her more. I don't even find her attractive ( while being a rather blond type ).
Jenny's Wedding (2015)
Useless, if you appreciate your time go do something else.
None of the usual reasons to watch a movie exist in this movie. It is not funny, the plot is so bad I stopped watching at 10-15 minutes (I hovered next a minute per minute to see what happens), I found out that I hate Katherine Heigl, so a very bad casting. About the story, I don't really like gay people, but I think they can do what ever they want, I don't care. What does the society do to them, deal with them, it is totally normal and less important than what the society do to other the "different" people (physically/mentally disabled people, minorities, different looking people in general as an example). I don't want to talk about the "grass" discussion. Last point, accepting what you are doesn't mean I need to approve or be happy about it and therefore be at your wedding or else I will be a very bad person (that what the movie implies).
Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)
Boring, Predictable...
Seeing the rating, I was expecting a good movie. However, just a few minutes into the movie, I got bored. I knew that she will kill them all, that she will be super powerful although I don't know why (in a sarcastic/rhetoric way). For those who say that the sword is her source of powerful, I can say she managed even without it. In addition, she have the "auto-healing" option. She can be cut deeply, but just give her a few seconds, she will be stronger. Even the fights are boring. I extremely enjoy fights (Check "Kingsman"),I have no problem with violence and blood. Still, I even skipped the most parts of the final "fights". ( I skip very rarely ) I almost get attached to all characters except her. No story whatsoever. And why would she assume that her kid isn't alive? she didn't even asked. I wasn't surprised by the last information in the movie. Someone killed in a hospital, 13 hours later, no one found out. Few months later, no one said where is the patient ( and check the country entrances and exits ) and no one bothered about Buck's car. Oh yeah, his car is invisible, just an ordinary one! A katana cut be another is rather I don't know! ( I have a katana, well I used to, when confiscated by the customs service ).
Orange Is the New Black (2013)
Unoriginal & Boring
This show is extremely boring and frustrates with its useless dialogs, over pushed events and its extreme lack of originality. Especially originality! I rarely get surprised by what is going to happen next. I will not get into the details because I will not stop, but who does not know what happens to the educated, "having-a-normal-life", charming, harmless cute person that -for some reason- goes to prison? Yes, you guessed it, this person will stood for itself, get out the darkness in its soul, become furious and cold-blooded. The main idea is old and unoriginal, let alone the sadistic/cruel officer, the corrupted administrator, drugs... blah blah blah.
I understand that the show is maybe more suited for girls, but the excessive nudity is absolutely unjustified for me. I am not against nudity, but only for the plot. Plus, nudity became old I think, we had enough in other shows.
To conclude, I thought this show will provide a different point of view for the life in prison, or life in general. However, I found a fully predictable show. The only thing I liked is the Bennet-Daya relationship, that one got me but other than that, I do not feel attached to any other character in the show.
PS: And OMG, I even heard people comparing this show to "Breaking Bad", "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead". In the given order, this show is placed way behind these ones that the bare eye cannot see.
