Bãhubali 2: The Conclusion (2017)
I'm SURPRISED to see so many negative reviews. Its almost like someone is PAYING them to do this!
The number of negative reviews is shocking. I don't understand why this is happening. Anyway, the film is good. Everything from Screenplay to performance, action, background score, cinematography to casting is outstanding.
The film has set a benchmark for Indian film Industry. Both, in terms of quality and box office numbers.
It seems to me like most people are here commenting negative reviews just because this is not a bollywood film. Our audience has become too accustomed to cheap remakes and masala flicks that when a quality movie with sensible writing like this comes, they find it odd.
I hope south keeps leading Indian film industry with amazing projects like Baahubali, KGF, 2.0, Vikram Vedha, etc
Kedarnath (2018)
GARBAGE
This is the dullest, slowest and the most illogical film of 2018 so far. I don't know what they were thinking while making this trash. Save your money and rather watch 2.0. Even if the ticket is free still i won't recommend anyone to go and watch thia in a theatre, it's 3 hours of torture. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED with BOLLY-trash right now!
Te3n (2016)
A crime thriller TOO good for the unintelligent-masala loving Indian audience
The film is the best mystery drama to come out of Bollywood till date. The performance by Amitabh, Vidya and Nawaz was outstanding. The film can keep the audience hooked till the end. The direction was good. The level of this film is comparable to that of Kahaani starring Vidya Balan. The film revolves around an old man who seeks to avenge his grand daughter's kidnapping. What makes it even better is that the film has, practically, no antagonist. The film should have received more buzz and had made more than what it did in Box office. Sadly in our country movies like Dabangg, Bodyguard, Kick, Dilwale, Chennai express with the same old love story masala script make 300cr+ but exceptional masterpieces like Masaan, Manjhi, Nil Battey Sannata, Gangs of Wasseypur, Udta Punjab and this don't even touch 100cr mark. Seems like the audience's taste has been ruined by the Bollywood's dependence on masala genre and movie maker's (with exception to few) lack of experimentation. Anyways this movie also deserves more than 7.4 in IMDb too. Maybe people were expecting some item numbers and were disappointed. I also blame the marketing of the movie. The movie was a little more interesting than Kahaani, if only it had a good marketing budget, the movie would have cross 100cr easily like Kahaani.
Nil Battey Sannata (2015)
One of the best movie to come out of Bollywood.
The acting was superb, direction and the screenplay was good too. The movie was so realistic unlike most of the school based movies, this was centered in a govt school where most of the India get educated. The movie is an inspiration for people with few resources and high hopes and dreams. It will motivate you to walk that extra mile to achieve your dreams. The movie is also an answer to those who always blame their fortune, financial status and let them come in between them and their dreams. The film also shows the eternal love of a mother towards her child and how she sacrifices her life to provide her child with all the comfort which she herself was deprived from. I loved the setting of this movie. It felt so realistic and beautiful. Plus the characters were so inspiring like the math genius Amar and the District collector. The sad part is these kinda movies don't make much in the box office. The audience prefer crap like prdp, wanted, dabangg. Movies with no moral and no sense at all. I hope makers of this, masaan, manjhi, gangs of wasseyur don't stop making these for they don' make enough in the box office. because someone has to keep making these to keep our faith alive in Bollywood.
Sultan (2016)
One of the best sports drama from Bollywood.
The movie is one of the best sports drama ever produced in Bollywood. Can't see why some people are rating it so low, perhaps they don't know much about films. Salman's performance was outstanding and so was Anushka's. The movie is based on the life of a wrestler and how the biggest opponent of any wrestler is he himself. The movie tried to show the thin line between confidence and arrogance and how this thin line, if crossed, can make a huge difference in anyone's life. The dialogues in this movie are so appropriate and most of the people, whether a wrestler or a clerk, would be able to relate to it. The movie is an inspiration to the aspiring wrestlers and other athletes. The movie gives a strong message about how one should stick to his roots to achieve success in his life. Todays generation is filled with wannabes, what they don't realize is you can't beat someone in their own game i.e if you copy someone, you cannot get ahead of them. The only drawback in this movie was that its a little fast-paced. Otherwise a very nice. The action was realistic and very well choreographed, sound effects was one of the best in Indian cinema. I would say this movie, as a sports drama, was better than Rocky.
Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015)
First movie ever to make me cry
This is the first movie ever to make me cry, the emotions of DASHRATH MANJHI portrayed by Nawazuddin is heart melting..its been a while since i've watched something like this and it's only the second time i actually feel the urge to write a review for a movie because it deserves one. i can't appreciate enough the efforts and excellence of Nawaz. The determination, love for his wife and will power of DASHRATH MANJHI is unbelievable n awe inspiring. Building a Taj Mahal for your wife with someone else's money and man power and then cutting their hands off so that they can't make more of its likes is one thing but constructing a road through a mountain for others in memory of your wife is something that the world needs especially at a time when everyone thinks of their own. People say many odd things about Biharis and their culture for them its a lesson for them , hope next time they ope their mouths they would remember the name MANJHI. I loved how the director has brought the realness of bihari culture into this movie and hats off to nawaz for portraying it so well. Last time i saw a perfect biopic was Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ,its nice to see that movie makers have started working in this genre, its at least better than the Masala category. It was sad to see that the movie made only 15 million in the box office where as some masala movie with nothing but extreme heroism, brainless scripts and over exaggerated scene defying the laws of physics make millions ,anyways thanks to Karan Mehta for bringing to us the story of DASHRATH MANJHI and also thanks to Nawazuddin Siddiqui for portraying it so well.
Good Boy, Bad Boy (2007)
one of my favourite movies
It takes me back in time....just love it.... actually you don't need to (should not) use your brains while watching it.... the movie taught me a very important lesson , smart girls fall for bad guys and bad girls fall for geeks.... love this movie.... perfect actors have been used for the characters.... the scene where tushar receives tanushree's call was perfect ....it perfectly portrayed how one feels when they fall in love for the first time.... one of the best romantic comedy.... there's really something wrong with people criticize this movie and hate it.... i mean its a 'shut your brains and watch' movie..... plus it shows the perfect picture of a college life ... there are not many college life movies in Bollywood, so appreciate it....
