Mean Girls (2024)
They did a great job with this
All who were involved did a great job with this - it comes up really well on screen.
As a massive fan of the original ir is so hard not to compare it, especially as it has the same story lines and characters.
With the dialogue that was the same, I felt the actors in this movie delivered it identical to the original, even facial expressions and the outfits were the same. I would have liked the new actors to have put their own take on it.
I went on a preview night, so the cinema was full and with what I assume was all people familiar with the original, so the laughs really only happened with the new material - which I did have some lol moments myself.
I didn't care much for the singing, but found it wasn't as often as I thought it would be.
Was there a need to remake the movie? I'd say no, but it's fun a great cast and it's enjoyable.,
And Just Like That...: The Last Supper Part Two: Entree (2023)
Samantha saves this episode
Samantha's cameo appearance in this episode is everything - with a nod to a past episode- as brief as it was - was more than I was expecting and definitely worth the wait. Totally still true to her Samantha character. So pleased everyone involved was able to make this happen :-)
Have only watched the new series to follow on the stories of those I loved from the tv show - haven't taken a liking to the new characters.
Nice to see Charlotte being a reminder of who she used to be, not sure what's going on with Miranda, and as for Carrie and Aidan no idea what hats happened there - didn't even understand that ending, are they together are they not, will they be together in 5 years?
And does this mean carrie doesn't have to give up her apartment since she has to wait 5 years?
Hope season three is the best so far and hope they include more Samantha - it just felt right having her in this episode.
Younger: Older (2021)
Hmmmm unsure how I feel
I felt this season was a struggle to watch - I had to force myself To get through it. The last episode came up super fast - and of course tying up all the characters story lines. It all just felt rushed and unrealistic.
Throughout the whole Show ppl are asking team josh or team Charles?
I was hoping the series final would have her with one person, but no, it's left open ended in an unrealistic way. Josh was barely in this season then to have him standing next to her as the credits roll?
The first 5 seasons I found enjoyable and fun - the last 2 not so much.
I'm glad I watched the show but don't think it's a show I'll ever rewatch.
Will & Grace: What a Dump (2020)
Where is she?
You really notice when a character is missing and not referenced - goes to show what a highlight Karen is and the amazing stage presence Megan has.
Felt this was a time filler episode.
Not a favourite episode of mine.
Charlie's Angels (2019)
Such a let down
Tried to see the positives of this film, but had no luck.
The movies from the 2000's were fun, cheeky, playful and sexy. So many outfits and costumes, characters and accents. This lacked all of those things.
I couldn't connect with any of the characters and didn't find any of the angels appealing.
