Daddy's Home (2015)
The Most Amazing Comedy Movie Duo
Daddy's Home is an underrated modern comedy movie. And compared to the likes of Spy (2015) and other late comedy movies - I cannot understand why this movie has a lower rating by less people. I love seeing Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg on the big screen together. For me - they could be one of the most amazing comedy movie duo's. I enjoyed Daddy's Home just as much as or even more than The Other Guys. It really hit the spot for me and put a smile on my face, unlike other comedy movies that had been released previous. I am looking forward to Daddy's Home 2 and I feel like quality and effort was put into this film to really satisfy the viewers. I would definitely recommend seeing this movie and it is definitely up there with the classics.
The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Incredible Sequel that lives up to its first!
It is immensely uncommon for a sequel or a second movie to be just as successful or as entertaining as the first. But i truly enjoyed The Conjuring two just as much or even more than i did the first. It was a little perhaps dragged out but i cannot possibly complain. I think James Wan has a gift and absolutely hit the spot with this franchise. The Conjuring 2 is absolutely correct on its depiction of England in the past and is incredibly breathtakingly enjoyable! I am past satisfied with the money i paid to see this wonderful horror. Its so rare for a little gem of a movie franchise like this one to come around but boy am i glad it did. I believe the conjuring has the potential to revive the horror movie genre. The conjuring 3 please!
Me Before You (2016)
Forgettable
Me Before You is a forgettable romantic comedy drama that really doesn't make its mark. Though it was a good attempt for a story like the fault in our stars, it doesn't quite stay with you nor stand with the success of its book. After so many skipped important scenes and dodgy actors for the mother and father of lou, i found myself feeling quite frustrated that the book was so lovely and Me Before You could not compete. Emelia clarke was such a true match for lou but unfortunately, will not so much. Me before you does have its perks. You will find yourself laughing here and then and you may even find a tear trying to escape heading towards the end. Overall, Me before you is enjoyable, but you probably wont find yourself falling inlove with it as much as you did with the novel by jojo moyes.
Honeytrap (2014)
Some kind of Wonderful
Many are judging this movie to be another typical British 'gang' movie when this is not what it is at all. Honey Trap is about a beautiful 15 year old girl named Layla who has never known this lifestyle before. Moving over to brixton from Trinidad after living with her grandparents for so long, Layla moves in with her uncaring mother whom she has never really known. She gets sucked into this wonderful yet crappy world where she meets the local handsome rapper Troy who is a bit shifty. Layla is besotted with him. Its her first time in love. She falls so hard, but unfortunately, troy doesn't feel the same way and turns out to be another bad boy. But when troys rival, Sean falls for Layla, troy cannot help but to be jealous and envious and claims Layla as his and his only. In a sad way, Layla sort of likes it. All these beautiful and sad events lead up to one big final tragic one. Give it a chance.
