Gone Too Far (2013)
Brothers of the same parents coping with different cultural backgrounds
A hilarious film which covers a lot of ground. I wish all my African friends in Africa who desperately want to come and live in the UK could see it, they would get a taste of real life in London. An educational film revealing how cultures are created, established and warped. Lots of action, romance and slapstick. It deserves to be shown in film festivals, such as the Zanzibar film festival and others throughout Africa and the rest of the world. The storyline is set in Peckham, London. The issues are complex and relevant. The period of time covers one day. The storyline is believable and coherent. The viewer gets to learn about cultural, racial and historical differences.
Going Bongo (2015)
A volunteer doctor visits Tanzania and learns about himself and a new culture
A must see film for anyone going to volunteer or work in Tanzania. Ernest Napoleon, producer and lead actor, succinctly reveals the most inspiring and devastating experiences that many people will have trying to understand another country and culture. The film is funny, sensitive and inspiring. The characters represent you and me and a lot can be learnt. Easy to watch and just as you think it may become clichéd it twists and will make you smile. Congratulations to all involved. The cinematography is beautiful and the viewer gets a feel of real life in Tanzania. The clash of cultures, Tanzania and America, are humorously illustrated and apt. i watched this film yesterday at the Zanzibar International Film Festival and it received a standing ovation.
