WW84 was better !
9 November 2021
I had seen several negative reviews before I watched this, but I still gave it a chance.

Several people in my screening walked out part way through.

The special effects and CGI were OK, but the story is mostly incoherent, with too many flashbacks and jumps forward in time.

It doesn't really develop the characters, so you can't really care too much for most of them unlike The Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy.

Few good scenes, but the plot is all over the place
2 January 2021
So I had good expectations about this 6 months ago when I saw the first trailers. I enjoyed the 2017 version. This was disappointing. There are a few good scenes, but the plot was just a mess. 6 is a generous score, it's certainly no better than that. The movie is also about half an hour too long. The opening 10+ minutes have almost nothing to do with the rest of the film even though it was spectacular. Overall this was another superhero spectacular that didn't make a lot of sense. The soundtrack was good, SFX were good, It just needed a more believable plot.

I think most critics missed the point.

I really don't know why there is so much hate for this. I enjoyed it, it's supposed to be a satirical comedy, don't take it too seriously guys.

Comedy, gangsters.

I lost count of how many people got shot, I think it was 4 before the opening credits, that's why it's a 15 The comedy does fit in with the violence and drugs, somehow. There is some spectacular Irish scenery, that made it worth watching in the cinema. Overall, it's fun but a bit mixed up. It's not terrible.

Cheesy Captain Marvel has Jumped the Shark.

Don't get me wrong, it had a few good moments, but I just couldn't get excited about this.

Some of the supporting actors and characters were wooden. Goose was about the only memorable supporting character.

The plot was a mess.

Special effects were ok

Overall 5/10, disappointing.
