The Chi (2018– )
3/10
What started out great has turned to a messy soap opera
2 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Lena Waithe is maybe the worst writer on TV. This show had a great first season, season 2 was solid and then all downhill from that.

The Chi has no continuity except for Darnell's bluetooth headset and the black G wagon. Storylines are written in just to be forgotten and never addressed again, characters make decisions that go strongly against who they are and to be honesr I hope they cancel this show before season 5 comes out.

Like how are we to believe that a drug lord gangster cam run for mayor and win and then defund the police? He was under investigation for murder while running..

Then when he kills Jemmas dad the police dont check the cameras in the house? Lena are you high on opium while writing this?

Rush Hour (2016)

Don't go in expecting this to be like the Rush Hour movies
4 May 2016
I didn't really like the first episode because it seemed like a bad remake of Rush hour 1.

Most TV series take about 2-3 episodes to get into and I have disliked a pilot before but got hooked on a show after giving it another chance few times before.

Rush hour is funny, a bit exciting and has good production value. I'm 3 episodes in and liking it more and more.

1 2 3

Give this show a chance and don't judge it based on the movies. This is it's own thing and should be judged as so.

Best crime drama I've seen in a long time
24 November 2015
This is the first time I write a review on this site so forgive me if it's a bit messy.

What prompted me to write a review is the low score of this movie...5.8? Really???

Criminal Activities had me glued to the screen for the entirety of the film. Every actor was spot on in their role and there was not a moment where I thought of them as actors. This movie really managed to keep me on my feet because you could never know what was going to happen next. I'm no genius but I usually figure out the plot. In this case I had it all wrong, this film went a different way than most and didn't follow basic Hollywood formulas. A bold move but I would argue it paid off in this case.

I give it a 9/10 considering a low budget. With a bigger budget the film could've had better production and a more complete script
