The Man in the High Castle: Baku (2018)
Bye, Frank.
I know Frank had to die. He went too far and lost everything. It just sadden me that he hasn't choose any of that. Lossing his family for nothing, not having the chance to grieve them, losing his love, it's all too much for a man to bear.
While Joe went insane because he was forced to kill his dad, who was about to wipe out half of the world, It's only fair that Frank blow up the building inwhich his sister and hher kids were murdered.
Bye, Frank. I liked how he died with grace. The location, the sunset, the sword, and even the inspector I don't like. It all suits him.
I hate this character limit btw.
Moon Knight (2022)
Egyptian here - totally loved it!
Frist of all, I love Oscar Isaac! Very talented actor and he kept me going despite the horror unexplained sences at the beginning. He's the best for this role and I'm totally glad you didn't pick up a blond blue eyes guy. LOL
The visuals, the suites, the songs, the Arabic used, it's all authentic. And as an Egyptian who's not into incient Egypt thingy, I was unexpectedly intertained. Good job everyone involved in this. I hope we get more of this line from Marvel, because I'm really done with super\Iron\spider\silver\mega super-man.
Just to prove how good Isaac is, I really deal with Marc amd Steven as two different people. And I love both.
Finally, huge kiss for the songs and soundtracks!
Well done.
Kinky (2018)
Oh God :D I've just experienced second-hand embarrassment 😂
Oh God this is so bad I can't even take it seriously At least Fifty shades of gray had some acting! Terrible actors.
Why every kinky movie had to be about a filthy rich man? Oh wait, was this kinky? The poor man is terrified from extremely superficial stuff 😂
It could have been more into Blue is the warmest colors, or a comedy movie, anything that saves us this embarrassment.
I mean, come on! You wasted my Thursday night for this?
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Brilliant season, extremely cheap finale
I want to say that whoever wrote the finale of this show must be held responsible for destroying the best show I have seen in years.
Mother and Father are great actors, visuals are great, writing was perfect, but I don't know what happend, the last episode was apparently a joke.
Raised by Wolves: The Beginning (2020)
Very disappointing end for the season!
It's a great show, really, I couldn't even sleep before I finish the season, But really the end is awful. I was so angry that they destroyed such an amazing story with such a cheap cliche. Mother mated with her God (wonderful scene btw) and the result/the baby was a monster copied from another film I don't even remember!
I was waiting for something magnificat or even that she would lose the baby, but this? couldn't be more disappointed.
Homeland: Chalk One Up (2020)
WOW It happened in the real world!
Exactly after I saw this episode I knew that the US/Taliban deal was made in the real world and for a moment I lost track on reality. Great job writing this show.
La casa de papel: La deriva (2019)
What's with forced feminism?!
I didn't like this season as much as I liked the show before. everything seems so forced and repeated. I especially hated all the feminist fights and found it superficial, very out of context and forced. women in the were more empowered before this weird dialog.
Also, I felt like they were trying to remix and reproduce the first two seasons; they replaced Berlin with someone who almost acts the same way, and added the same techniques same characters, same twists. I liked it better when they made the show as if no body is watching.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Good for Miley Cyrus, bad for Black Mirror, and definitely for for us
I used to be fan to Miley Cyrus when I was a teen and I still have a soft spot for her news as a part of my memories. I appreciate her views and her activism for a better world for everyone, I wasn't really shocked or upset of her transformation later because I am at the same age as her and I took very radical paths for my life later as well.
In that context, I was disappointed to see Miley as a helpless teen again not as a full grown woman/star. Yes this episode could be one of the most important steps to her career and her old angry fans, and I'm happy for her, yet as a fan to Black Mirror this is the worse episode in the show and I felt like I was dragged to a teen show that I didn't agree to watch.
They could have done so much better and still have Miley and her story and Black Mirror at the same line. I am just disappointed.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
To be honest, I expected much less due to D&D previous work. we grieve for the capital.
First of all: yes the season is very rushed and there's nothing to justify this.
Second of all: D&D are horrible writers and should be judged forever for what they did to the show, to our characters, and to GRRM efforts.
BUT this is the closest episode to Game Of Thrones as we knew years ago.
Dany is a mad queen since season 7 at least and all these creepy love scenes with Jon Snow could not convince me otherwise.
It could be worse. Remember how the knight king was stabbed in 30 sec? we could have Arya killing Cersei, the hound killing his brother, lord Varys Alive, the city is peacefully surrendered then Jon killing Dany and the world is happily ruled by the Starks. That famous scenario was my greatest fear. Thank you GRRM.
Seeing Arya responding to death as a human being instead of the underage badass mode warmed my heart and remind me of the early seasons when she was a little brave girl escaping the capital. I blamed Jon snow that I wanted Arya to slap him in the face for the naive man he became.
My heart aches for Kings landing. I was so moved when Cersei said "the Red keep will not fall today" and I believed her and hoped she's right. This is kings Landing with our memories in it. The destruction felt so real and outrageous that nothing else mattered to me. This is the great war. Not the night king and his white walkers could make the destruction that one alive person with a dragon done to almost a million people and a whole great city.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
D&D should apologize for destroying the best TV show in history. What a shame.
GOT was my favourite TV series of all times. I used to watch it with friends, read the story background and all the reviews, we had an Egyptian Facebook group for the show, I even spent a month writing an article on how is this story of GOT shaped a lot of my ideas about the grey areas between good and evil, human rights and politics, power and love. All of this is gone now for poor writing and endless rush.
I feel betrayed and disappointed. It's as if someone took GOT from its fans and gave it to punch of entrepreneurship guys who turned it from a magical movement to a rich but naïve start up.
I hope these writers never participate in (the long night) series.
Nocturnal Animals (2016)
Weird and disturbing
The visuals are great and all but it is SO UNCOMFORTABLE AND CREEPY.
Too artistic and abstracted for a dark yet empty story. Everything in that movie is uncomfortable.
Black Mirror: White Bear (2013)
Yes, humanity is powerful and can get really lost
This is one of the best episodes in Black Mirror. It reminded me of Metalhead episode in a sense that I did not enjoy 40 mins of a woman screaming and running without knowing what's happening in that crazy world, but here in White Bear this is exactly the thing; you should at least know that this is pointless torture! It broke my heart when she said "I'm a human being", she begs and cries everyday and yet no one in the show doubted the whole thing!
Yes, people can get really cruel and dreadful, especially when they collectively believe that they have the right to judge and punish. The mark on the screens reminded me of the Nazi's swastika, and no surprise that I was very familiar with the euphoria and blind belief of the audience in the episode; we have seen this with Hitler, Rwanda, Middle east, etc.
When you're strong and you think you're on the right side/class/race/religion, you can be really really inhumane to the extent that you enjoy repeated pointless torture to a human for THE SAME CRIME.
Very well written and very well acted as well.
