Doctor Who (2005–2022)
8/10
OK I admit it. It's good.

I'm going to be honest. I never had the desire to watch Dr. Who. I knew there was a growing fan base out there, but I didn't understand why. Then my son decided to start watching it on Netflix. I thought "ok, why not?" It was a change from the usual boring Disney shows he watches. I watched a bit of the first episode (9th Doctor) not bad. Not great, but not bad. My son was hooked. I missed most of the following episodes after that. Then I sat down and watched a couple episodes with the 10th Dr. (David Tennant). OK this is getting good.... I suddenly found myself hooked. Omg I actually like this show. I even went back and watched all the episodes I missed. I try to keep myself from binge watching the entire series but it's not easy. One of the main things I love about Dr. Who is the fact that it is a show that I am 100% comfortable with my kids watching. You can't find a show like that anymore. Thank you, for a show that my entire family can sit down to and not be bored out of our minds or worried about if the content is appropriate for kids and young teens. I am extremely grateful.

Jimmy, we love you
29 October 2015
Wow, poor Jimmy has so many haters on here. So he's not your traditional late night talk show host. He doesn't come out, tell a few jokes and then sit there with his guests and talk the whole time. He has fun. He plays games, does funny skits, sings, dances, acts like a goof-ball....He's basically a 41 year old kid. Why shouldn't he be able to have fun? It's his show. Those bits on the Tonight Show that some call "dumb" or "childish" go viral every single week. So apparently there are a lot of people who love the show, Jimmy and the crazy things he does. Is the show perfect? No, not at all. I love Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show but I will admit there are improvements to be made. Some of his jokes can be a bit cheesy, it's a bit repetitive, especially when he goes into certain segments like "Hashtags" and "Thank You Notes." It's been the same way every week since Late Night and I do wish he would do something different now and then. But when Jimmy is off script, when he's just talking to his guests, laughing uncontrollably with them, when he gets caught off guard by a story he was not expecting, when he interacts with his audience, when he's telling about his latest injury or talking about his daughters who he absolutely adores, that's the Jimmy we love. He's not perfect and has never claimed to be. He's just a regular guy. That is, in my opinion, what attracts so many people to The Tonight Show. I'm not saying everyone in the world should become a fan of the show and Jimmy Fallon. It would be nice but I know it'll never happen. Just give him a break. He's a good person and a great choice for host of The Tonight Show.

The Eye (2002)
10/10
LOVE this movie
28 October 2015
Since it's almost Halloween, I thought I would write a review on my favorite horror movie ever. I love scary movies, but it's so hard to find any good ones. This movie isn't bloody or gory. There isn't a masked murderer running around, killing everyone. But The Eye is the most frightening movie I have ever seen. It's a psychological type of horror movie. That's what I love about it. No matter how many times I've seen it, I still get freaked out. Please, if you haven't seen this yet, watch it. You can easily find the dubbed version. (VUDU has it). Do not opt for the newer American version with Jessica Alba. It doesn't even compare.
