Wonderful hidden treasure
4 February 2024
Até Amanhã, Mário exceeded my expectations with its poignant exploration of childhood struggles amidst financial hardship. The film skillfully captures the harsh realities faced by the young protagonists. The narrative's beauty lies in the subtle gestures of care between characters, and the juxtaposition of childlike traits in adults adds a unique layer of depth. The visuals are stunning, the lack of a conclusive ending leaves viewers yearning for more. Despite some controversies, the film handles sensitive offering a powerful commentary on a universal problem. The storytelling and direction are remarkably sensitive, touching, and profound, weaving a narrative that delicately explores the harsh realities of life with emotional depth.

I think it's hilarious how the tv network promoted this with all things Kelly Bailey (she's in the poster), when the protagonist is Mikaela Lupu and Fernando Pires.

Disaster
27 March 2022
Awful, almost 300 episódios with absolute no story and drama with no sense. The worst telenovela made by TVI. I'm sorry for the actors who needed to be on this till the end.

Started well but now is crap
27 March 2022
Amor amor started very promising, it has 2 seasons. The first one was amazing despite some flat humour. The season 2 is just awful and broke everything that was established with the characters, a show of horror.

Floricienta (2006– )

An awesome soap opera
23 August 2020
In 2006 RCN tried its luck with Floricienta, and they actually made a really good version of this story. Monica Uribe delivers a perfect Floricienta, so sweet and caring. The couple dynamic is really well made, the witches are good even tough they exaggerate in the comic relief, I can count on my hands the times they were really mean. In terms of plot it's very similar to the original one, just in the final episodes it changed some plot lines because it ended in the middle of the story of the original Floricienta. The songs are so good, but they only aired them few times they were underused, they played the songs a lot on the scenes but with no voice, the version with the cast's voice were played fewer times, it's a shame since they didn't release a CD or a digital release. The fact that they made many versions of the same song and new songs was also incredible. Just the production is kinda bad in some aspects, some microphones are visible in a lot of scenes and the magic CGI was kinda of too, but I mean that's for forgivable.

A Barbie and Disney/Pixar Mix
17 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Well the movie starts with a book like the old Disney Classics, or even Animated classics as Thumbelina. Surprisingly the movie starts with a live action footage of two kids playing with toys , suddenly they go to sleep and guess what, the toys are alive. Seems like we're watching Toy story, kind of, more like Sindy Story but with crappy visuals and voice acting. The animation is bad but even with that fact sometimes it feels unfinished, and they have some bizarre moves. The villain is ugly, but wait a minute, the fairies are ugly, the prince is ugly, and Sindy is ok. The backgrounds have no depth. Of course we need to understand it was made for VHS/DVD to sell dolls, but, even the early Barbie movies were so much better. The story itself is not interesting, it's kinda hard to follow, even with this being a short movie, because the storytelling is very slow and hard, the story is a mess. It touches all the cliches. Maybe if Sindy followed some traditions stories like Barbie, Swan Lake or Nutcracker. Maybe Sindy: Little Red Ridding Hood, Sindy: The House of Chocolat, and then with some experience they would have made an original movie with a better story. But this didn't happen so moving forward. Then the kids wake up and the toys are in complete different places and they say 2/3 lines and then the movie ends. Good luck, if your daughter/son watches this for the only 46 minutes it has with attention.
