Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Shut up your whining
This episode was good. No denying it. It was a solid Game of Thrones episode. The only reason you guys are salty is because the night king is dead so soon. Which in all honesty might not be completely set in stone and its very likely they will bring him back. The fact is that this episode was solid. The performances and the story overall was good. It was exciting and a good build up for the great war. You guys are not reviewing the episode. You guys are just whining about how the show did not meet your delusional expectation.
If you guys want to hate on the shows storyline for this season and mostly the fact that the night king is dead..At least wait to see if he really is gone.
And if they had not defeated the night king right then and there at winterfell. The only characters left alive would have been cercei and her crew.
The Walking Dead: The Damned (2017)
Really average episode
I truly don't know why this episode got all this hate.
Honestly, it's a good episode. especially compared to the last season. Sure it's not one of the best episodes of the walking dead. But really this episode is just an average TWD episode.
Normally I don't post a review unless its something truly amazing or horrible
But this is just a normal episode.
I think most people who gave this episode bad reviews are just hating on it because they are mad about the show as a whole going down last season in quality but this episode kind of stood out from the few previous ones and could be a start back to its former glory
And When people see a couple of bad episodes in a row they just expect the next one to be bad too. So they only see the bad parts in an episode when it's released.
And I've seen reviews saying " Please fire the writers " and " these writers are terrible and stupid "
But end result. Just an average TWD episode if you compare it to any episode before season 7. but still the best episode since S7E01
Dunkirk (2017)
A love letter to Christopher Nolan
Dear Christopher Nolan. Every time i think you cannot top your last work you surprise me and bring something new. something fresh and original. Dunkirk is no exception. Its style and historical accuracy is on its own enough to give this movie praise but how it's executed that's what stands out the most. The movie fits together so perfectly and it all feels so natural to watch. There are no stages in this movie. Like the movie starts of with one stage where nothing is happening just to introduce the characters or a build up of how the Dunkirk disaster came to happen. No Christopher Nolan throws us right into the middle of it as it is happening and we get to see our characters and get to know them as everything is happening. The entire movie feels like one fluent motion. And the use of music in this movie is portioned and only used when needed. No pointless background music, just music to tell the story properly.
You feel the emotions of the Characters and the terror they are faced with. And the cruel side of humanity (The Nazi's and the poor frank who the British soldiers wanted to sacrifice to lift up the boat) And we see the good side of humanity The people who came to the rescue of the trapped soldiers and the brave men who fought and fell. Just so we can stand free
The Walking Dead: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be (2016)
Great season opener and a pure masterpiece
Even though i hate what happens in this episode it is just on of the most satisfying to watch and well styled episodes i have ever lay'd my eyes upon and bring up my excitement for the rest of the season.
Its simple and straight to the point and not much movement or action happens in this episode but its still one of the most breathtaking and horrifying things i have seen and keeps you so tense the entire time
The acting is amazing! even for Walking Dead standards especially from Andrew Lincoln and we get to see his character in a new more vulnerable state then ever before something i wasn't expecting. And the wait and awful cliffhanger from the ending of the last season really was worth it in the end result. However it came with a few flaws even though just minor ones. For example some shots didn't fit in at certain times and felt forced and unnecessary but overall if you look past that the editing and angles we get of the characters were great and the only reason i don't give this a 10 is because i felt the characters who were killed of were killed way to fast and you could barely catch it without blinking and it just felt weird and unsatisfying way to watch some of your favorite characters get offed.Or maybe that is just my opinion . Maybe that is exactly what is so great about this episode. Great Opening episode and something i wan't to watch again but i don't wanna do because it is so sad and horrifying and that is exactly what they were going for And can't wait for future episodes
