Black Mountain Side (2014)
30 January 2017
First off, I gave it a go and thought, I hope this isn't another boring Canadian movie. Wrong! It is. Acting is as if no one was even into their character. Like they were in acting class doing a practice scene. Couldn't even finish the movie after about 30 minutes of it i had to leave. The story could have had some interest but didn't. Snoring bore. I walked out and got something to eat and watched a couple kids fight over a cup of popcorn. Each one would grab a hand full and shove it in their mouths and by the time the next one shoved the popcorn in his mouth the other grabbed the bucket and shoved it in his mouth. That went on for about 3 minutes until they ran out. They ran to their mom and she pushed them away and told them to go play. That was worth leaving the movie and seeing.

Review for Ben-Hur (2016)
3 December 2016
The only reason Hollywood makes re-makes of movies is for two reasons. 1) They can't come up with an original story so epic that it stands on it's own so therefore, today's writers and producers and directors and 99% of the actors are flaming out and producing cheap over-priced movies that amount to being worth flushing down the toilet or 2)Hollywood can actually turn a re-make into an awesome experience as in "King Kong" 2005 by Peter Jackson and crew. But with this Ben-Hur remake this is not the case. Total waste of time and money. I will remember directors names from here on out and do my homework before I waste another penny at the box office. So sick of Hollywood putting out these ridiculous scripted and mono-toned movies that go no-where and leave me in a mood of being ripped off, which I was. Ben-Hur was it for me. The straw that broke the camels back. No more rushing out to theater in hopes of being left in awe anymore. From here on out, Hollywood gets no opening night from me. I'll leave that to the future suckers. Movie totally SUCKED!!!!!

Review for Exodus: Gods and Kings
1 August 2016
This movie is a 10 out of 10!!! This is one movie that isn't about keeping the image up of an actor so as he or she looks great all the time through the movie. In fact, it's just the opposite. The reality of everyone having their moments of looking tired and over worked and actual dirty looking from working, from the slaves all the way to the top Ramses's himself. The Mose's character was in my opinion spot on as being human with greed and power and then with coming to grips with settling an inner knowledge that surfaces as his main objective throughout the movie. The movie still left an inner quest for us all throughout the movie as far as the God character is concerned. It is nothing as described in the bible and the contour of this story, compared to the bible version, is more accurate and believable because it has a human story and not a overly dramatic version as told in the 1950's movie version. Of course there are some unbelievable happenings in the movie that makes us all shake our heads in disbelief but that's what a 5000 year old gap between us and them that gives rise to should we or shouldn't we consider to be put in the movie that makes it or breaks it. Some things are better left to the imagination rather than explain through a story line in a movie. Great movie and awesome acting on all levels and production was believable which made this movie a keeper all the way!!

The Last Detail Review
16 June 2016
This movie is without a doubt a comedy/drama. I loved it for the soul purpose of the three main actors. It was like watching lives unfold and then reality hits and then like the era they represent, they all three collide as a learning experience and or like one entity with three totally different perspectives on life issues and how to deal with it. This movie is a must see. Jack is Jack. The wild man of the silver screen with a control only he can tame. His character is wild. His performance is spot on. Loved this movie and you will too. Watch it!! I even stayed up 2 hours past my usual bed-time to watch it. There are parts in this movie that will definitely make you shake your head in disbelief but all in all, what is a movie without some added B.S. to help get to the next scene without totally destroying the whole movie and it's concept to guide us through what their intentions really are. Great movie!

The Conjuring 2 Review
16 June 2016
OK. This movie is a great scare movie! You hardly get to witness a second horror movie that is as good as the first movie if not better. I gave it a ten because of the scare factor and that the characters in the movie set the atmosphere that guided us down a road less followed. It's one thing to sit and conjure up strange noises and knocks and pings throughout the night and then account them as being paranormal but as soon as you get serious about what you are doing knowing all too well that what comes through could without a doubt kill you, it's then the word paranormal becomes a welcome mat compared to the actual being that is in the room with you. With that said, don't be too critical because you will come out of this experience in the movie as just a movie and nothing else. Sit back, relax while you can and savor that moment because as soon as you dive into the movie, you will be scared and you will have images burned into your mind. Don't be surprised if you get home and begin to leave the lights on because this movie is that frightful!!

Awesome Movie!
29 May 2016
I'm not going to tell anything as far as the story line because it would retract from the experience one gets from watching this movie. Just know to sit back and be ready to share in crying, laugh, worry and love with all the characters in this movie. Everything in this story spells family. Ella Ballentine did a superb performance bringing her character to life. She as well can lead an audience in any direction and not disappoint in any way or form. A human firecracker in the making and an array of feelings that will bring you back to childhood with a convincing connection, that's for sure. Sarah Botsford did an awesome job with her character. Her ways of motherhood and friend locks you into her character and takes you for a ride that will for sure not only get you thinking but I actually was hoping for acceptance from her character as if she was my own mother. Martin Sheen's character blended in so naturally that you forget while watching that it's a movie. He brought a as he put it a kindred spirit to the audience. If there were ever a dad figure you would want to grow up with, it would be with Matthew Cuthbert. You will not be disappointed with this movie. Great Sunday movie to watch with your family or friends. Be ready to shed some tears, that is, if you have a heart. I know I teared up and not ashamed to admit it.
