I Never Thought...
2 August 2019
...that I'd walk out of a movie that features the manson family (I have purposely used lower caps) feeling the way I did. I cannot say much more. If I were YOU, who's reading this right now- do not read anything else anywhere about this movie! I walked into it only knowing about the manson family crimes and nothing about this actual movie. I hadn't even planned on seeing it, but I am so glad I did! Three hours long? What? Did not feel like it. I'm so glad it wasn't shorter! Bravo, Mr. Tarantino! Wow!!! I love how they portrayed Sharon Tate, contrary to something I just read. He did justice to characters where they were due. Remember, DON'T READ ANY SPOILERS OF ANY KIND BEFORE SEEING THIS! I just need to stop right here lol

Fantastic! Lovers of SciFi & QuaPhysFi Unite

With my understanding of Quantum Physics I LOVED this movie. Without at least a fair understanding of this science, I might be able to, in small part, relate to the bitingly cynical reviewers out there, but surely not those who've mocked other reviewers as "shills" etc. for having had this be their first review. Listen, once upon a time I made my first review and I was not attached to that film or series in any way. With that said... I can see where some people might've thought it slow, however it wasn't for me. It held my interest from beginning to end because of the inspiring theoretical implications of quantum physics which many people have trouble wrapping their heads around.

I felt there was a subtle, yet satisfying unification of science and spirituality as well. Alas, in our world, those are two concepts which unfortunately hinder many from understanding *they are not contrary*.

To the emotional storyline, I have a difficult time bearing the sadness this or any movie portrays so convincingly. It's me and not to the discredit of the movie, however. Not at all.

There are occurrences in this world that most times are viewed only as bizarre coincidences and sometimes they may be that... BUT, there are also times these "coincidences" are found to be anything but. Do yourself a favor. Look into the Observer Effect and Quantum Entanglement.

Note: You have my express permission to use my term "QuaPhysFi". Heehee

Somebody Vomited a Plethora of Plots
8 April 2018
My thoughts: How do you mess up such a really good idea for a movie??? Well, they managed to do it here. It was all over the place (figuratively & literally). Like, during the writing process they wrote numerous subplots on small scraps of paper, dipped the scraps in glue, threw them at the wall, and used any ideas that stuck (key word: "glue"). The profanity appears to have been thrown in as shock value and was very awkward. Did they think after using the same word about 16 times in a row it would get funnier..or even funny? 3 Good- fresh idea of people downsizing themselves to enjoy a larger world, Norway, the spiritual aspect of one of the lead characters 3 Bad- waste of Kristen Wiig & Jason Sudeikis, excessive & awkward cursing, runaway train-like plot

Seriously???
4 April 2018
If I wanted to have a movie "left up to (my) interpretation", I would have only read the plot and not wasted nearly two hours I'll NEVER get back! I would be livid if I had paid to see this. Out of all the movies I have seen employing the same tactic of disregard for those investing time and/or money in viewing films, this takes the cake! What a way to royally mistreat an audience.

I hope Idris was well compensated for wasting his time on this instead of showcasing his talent in something worthwhile.

Why Such Low Reviews? It Was Great!
13 April 2017
I rarely watch anything over and over, but we're watching it for maybe the eighth time right now. This movie was not only cleaner than a lot of the trash that's out there but funnier. I don't get the low reviews. I really like this movie. Adam Sandler as his sister was very much likable, and actually adorable. The movie is filled with laughable moments, even some hilarious ones.
