Starts a bit wonky but turns into something pretty powerful
5 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Wasn't sure about this, dig most of Farley movies though so I gave it a go. Had no idea what to expect but it really did end up having a solid message.

The idea that this is a true story is incredible, I can only imagine the stories these guys tell to this day. Had heart and some funny moments. Could change a couple things but that's true of most movies.

Here's the thing, if you know anyone who served in Vietnam, be extremely careful about suggesting this movie. The strength and integrity it takes to do what they did is borderline unimaginable. What they did, with the info they had, makes every single one of them heroes. Foresight has the advantage of being 20-20 and I'm really glad this story is told so history has the slightest chance of not repeating itself. But this movie is not for everyone, some people need to keep their own memories.

40 min on a spoiled kid not willing to put in the work?!
20 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
All the episodes have been fantastic up until this point, seems like a nice kid but "deserves to be in Formula 1" no way, dude complains about everything and has zero professionalism.

All the individuals they show seem to have a massive amount of respect for the sport or are EXTREMELY talented, this kid has neither. The way he talks to the crew over radio, the way he complains about everything and the fact that they spent almost 40 min on this guy to have a climax of p10?!

I'm not up to date as I've only seen the sport through the show but I have my fingers crossed that someone who actually wants to be there and willing to put in the work will have replaced him by the time I get up to date.

Great movie that doesn't take itself too seriously

I went into this movie knowing nothing and I'm glad I did because it's different. Stop reading and just give it a go.

A movie from a genre I thought was gone forever
8 December 2019
So fantastic to see the a big hit from a classic/modern gangsta flick. The acting and tone is just so good, I really hope some upcoming hollywoodites learn from this. The flow and pacing of a movie like this is obviously not for every flick but damn it just feels right with this.

Throw this bad boy on the top shelf with Goodfellas, Casino and Godfather's (2 outta 3) with a dash of Scarface.

I'm not sure where all these 10* reviews are coming from but it's likely not for this movie
14 July 2019
I can see how some people may enjoy this movie a little bit but all the WOW 10*'s is a bit fishy, and you could tell within the first few minutes that this is not a 10* anything.

The chemistry between the characters Maude and Asa is just off, I honestly think a lot of this movie is supposed to annoy you. I was not a fan of how the majority of the characters played off each other.

It may be for you so give it a shot but it just rubbed me the wrong way, and obviously I was a big fan of hers in the 'ol dragon show. Oh well, hopefully she can pick something else up.

What a pleasant surprise.

I know this movie won awards, but it just didn't seem appealing. I figured it was a new age, reverse, Driving Miss Daisy. Well I'll tell you what, this movie has more soul than anything I've seen in quite sometime.

Don't judge a book by its cover just like you shouldn't judge a person by the color of their skin.

The world needed this and I'm glad that it's getting all the recognition it is, because it deserves every bit of it.

Wow. There is not much else to say other than the writing, acting, production, music and cinematography of The Peaky Blinders will set standards for years to come.

Creator of the Simpsons and Futurama has still got it.

This is pretty funny while having a good ensemble cast. Some jokes miss but I was pleasantly surprised with the amount that hit, some were really good with great timing.

I ran through the whole season in a weened, I highly recommend this series.

Lots of unnecessary hate for some reason
13 May 2018
This movie will not change your life and it's not looking to do that. It seems like a relatively low budget indie film that has some heart and the balls to be a little different.

Definitely worth a view as the charm will carry this movie over its minor defects.

Keeps a good pace, entertains and has some catchy dry humor.

I had to review this because I can't believe all the hate it's getting. It's not gonna win any awards but I can appreciate the mocking of many mindsets and it never takes itself to seriously. Well worth a watch.
