Saturday Night Live: Shane Gillis/21 Savage (2024)
Season 49, Episode 12
1/10
Hard. Pass.
26 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Everything about this episode was offensive. The host, the musical guest... so disappointing. Why on earth would they hire such a terrible host? They fired him once for being inappropriate and offensive. Doesn't look like anything has changed. He was boring and trite and just bad. This was one of the worst shows ever. It makes me not want to watch anymore. I find it so weird that they would bring him back as a host after he was fired as a cast menmber for his offensive material on a podcast. 21 Savage was boring. The episode was a 1/10 at best. Also I felt bad for Bowen Yang that he has to appear on screen with Shane.

Pretty. Weak.

If watching rich, white people in HK pose and cry and speak stilted trite dialogue is your thing, this is for you. Couldnt watch the end of episode one. Nicole Kidmans face is like a rubber duck. The storyline is super predictable and although it looks good, it lacks depth. Having been an expat in China/HK, it depicts an unrealistic view of regular lives. The only accurate portrayal is of how the 'help' are treated. I expected more and was disappointed. One thing it does do is highlight the natural beauty of that part of the world. The water and mountains and green grass often don't get enough credit.

Jack Ryan: Proof of Concept (2023)
Season 4, Episode 6

This season was disappointing

Although it started out well with some serious promise, it seemed like every episode delved further and further into an abyss of cheesy, predictable cliches. From 'dramatic' pauses and close ups to lame dialogue and music. The last episode in particular was laughably bad. Abbie Cornish was underused and seemed to be overdressed at every opportunity to disguise her body shape. John Krasinski's comical face did not fit the attempted seriousness of the subject matter. The only bright light was seeing Michael Peña in a more highlighted role worthy of his experience. It's disappointing that this was how the series ended.

So boring and trite

Why on earth was this movie even made? Stupid jokes, lame story that's been done a hundred times before, and even lamer cast.

The Diane Keaton character's voice was so annoyingly high pitched that it was hard to even hear what was being said. Waste of time.

Painfully basic and bad

How much money did Halle Berry get paid for this drivel? So many terrible lines that were laughably bad and plot lines that were painfully predictable.

Sad.
