Titanic - La leggenda continua (2000)
It's the pits of hell.
IT'S AWFUL! IT'S AWFUL! Whether it was made for 65 million dollars or just 65 dollars, there is nothing to be proud of in this movie. Everybody should be ashamed for even acknowledging it exists. I feel like Beelzebub's ballsack just for drawing attention to it! The animation is the worst. The characters never look alive. The jokes are the worst. They never once get a laugh. The characters are the worst. They're all just ripoffs of ripoffs. The plot is the worst. It's a joke. Literally. It's all written as a joke, but one with no good setup or punchline. It is one of the worst pieces of commercialized dog s*** I have ever seen in my entire life!
AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991)
One of the Best Animated Sequels of All Time!
YAHOO! Great Sequel, boys! Bluth might not be involved in this, but this is one of those rare sequels that manage to be slightly better than the original. It rightfully deserved it's release in theaters, along with Beauty and the Beast. It's got many good things from the original, like the return of the oh-so-adorable Phil Glasser returns as Fievel! And we got new things in store. Like John Marwood Cleese, Monty Pythoneer, and voice of Cat R. Waul. And James Stewart, famous actor of the 1960's. Not to mention that they've upgraded Tanya Mousekewitz to... *cue Wanna B Ur Lovr by Weird Al* *Record scratch, music cuts off* D-d-d... Sorry. Where did I leave off? Oh. Tanya's upgrade. Right. Ahem. She had got herself a little plastic surgery? 'Cause she looks gorgeous in this look! Absolutely beautiful! I mean, she ought to go find a beauty competition, because it's marvelous! Even her makeover doesn't change her! And she's really got her voice! I mean... who voiced her? Jodi Benson? (Cathy Cavadini is the right answer.) If you've seen Disney's 1989 film The Little Mermaid, you can see that Tanya and Ariel have quite a bit in common. The film paved the way for DreamWorks Animation, and films like Shrek, The Prince of Egypt - one of my all-time favorite animated movies - , The Road to El Dorado, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon. These films owe it to this fantastic sequel to an already fantastic film. I have seen it on Netflix, but I would want to buy it, and take it with me anywhere I go! It is that good! Adorable, beautiful, well-voice-acted, nicely drawn, well done, Spielberg!
A Troll in Central Park (1994)
*sigh* No. Just, no.
Wow! Don Bluth, what have you done? Anyway, here yea, here yea! All rise! The Animation Court is now in session! Many critics, vs. "Troll in Central Park" for ruining the career of the famous director! The right, and honorable judge David T. Hileman presiding! Though it was not the final nail in the coffin for Mr. Bluth's animation studio - that came with "The Pebble and the Penguin" - "A Troll in Central Park" certainly was the handwriting on the wall, with it's terrible reviews and a horrible box office take. It couldn't even make 0.32% of it's $23,500,000 budget, only grossing $71,368! It was known as the biggest animated box office bomb, until, suddenly, 14 years later, "Delgo" came along. Gary Goldman, Bluth's partner, blamed the distributors at Warner Bros. Family Entertainment for it, for lacking any confidence in the film, releasing it without any sign of promotion, and only giving it a limited release. I don't think ANYONE would have any confidence in the film, when it looks so sappy it makes "The Secret of NIMH 2" look like the original! I mean... Gus, he's a spoiled brat! A spoiled, rotten, rude, impudent piglet! I don't recommend this film. Don't let the good music by Mr. Robert Folk fool you.
The Prince of Egypt (1998)
Wow. Spectacular Bible story film. I want to rate it higher.
Wow. Just... wow! How did DreamWorks do such a natural phenomenon?!? I have read the Bible story many times, but never before have I seen a Bible story be portrayed and making the characters look this good! Awesome and handsome animation from our good old' buddies who used to work at Walt Disney Feature Animation and Amblimation. And even Simon Wells returns from Amblimation to direct this extravagance well-prepared from DreamWorks, brilliant as the history of the Bible, served with historical precision! No sugar included! DreamWorks is still a super-animation massive god studio. I think they look much better traditionally animated. And, like many future DreamWorks films, features the voices of some of Hollywood's greatest acting talents, like Val Kilmer, actor for Batman (Batman Forever), Ralph Fiennes, actor for Amon Goeth (Schindler's List), Michelle Pfeiffer, actress of Catwoman (Batman Returns), Sandra Bullock, actress who voiced Scarlett Overkill (Minions), Jeff Goldblum, actor for Seth Brundle (The Fly), Dr. Ian Crawford, (Jurassic Park), Danny Glover, actor for President Wilson (2012), Freakin' Patrick Stewart, actor for King Richard (Robin Hood: Men in Tights), Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Star Trek Franchise), and Steve Martin, and Martin Short, two of the Three Amigos, and actors from The Muppet Movie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fantasia 2000, We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story, (also done by Amblimation) and The Pebble and the Penguin! The plot is simply, the story of the Exodus, with historical accurate details. And no sugarcoating. No sugar included. The Plagues, I really like seeing. This animation is incredible! It's incredible! Incredible! Incredible! Incredible! And I still think this animated phenomena masterpiece deserved the $218,600,000 it got. Well done, good and faithful servants at DreamWorks!
An American Tail (1986)
Joy to the world! The mice has come!
I'm sure you know this movie, An American Tail, directed by Don Bluth and produced by Steven Spielberg. Based on a concept by David Kirschner, and a screenplay by Emmy-award winners Judy Freudberg and Tony Geiss. This movie, I can't really call it a movie. I call it a Masterpiece! One of the finest meals ever prepared by one of the greatest people to make animated movies after Walt Disney died, Don Bluth. Director of The Secret of NIMH. I love this movie!!! I can describe it in two words! WOW! INCREDIBLE!!! Even only one word can describe it! BEAUTIFUL!!! First of all, the animation is nice. Very high-quality traditional animation with scents from Disney's Golden Age. And oh, Gobstoppers, the story! It's a wonderful story about Fievel Mousekewitz and his family as they emigrate from Russia to America to find freedom after an anti-Semitic attack from cats. But Fievel gets washed overboard and ends up in a different part of New York Harbor, and now he has to find a chance to find his family. And the score! This is one of the best scores that James Horner has ever composed before Braveheart and Titanic! Very beautiful! What about the voice acting? ALSO WONDERFUL!!! Like the voice of Phillip Glasser as Fievel. Just adorable! And Amy Green as Tanya Mousekewitz? Also very nice. Nehemiah Persoff? Nice as Papa Mousekewitz! Erica Yohn, also wonderful playing as Mama Mousekewitz. Pat Musick sounds nice as Tony Toponi, the streetwise Italian mouse who helps Fievel out. Dom DeLuise sounds wonderful as Tiger, as if his performance as Jeremy in NIMH wasn't good enough! Nice to hear Dom back in the game! Henri the Pigeon gets wonderful Christopher Plummer's voice. And voicing Gussie Mauseheimer is Madeline Khan, who also acted in Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles! We also get Will Ryan who also starred in the Christian radio series Adventures in Odyssey. We also get Niel Ross, Cathianne Blore, and Hal Smith. But it's the songs that kick me twice in the awe-striking area! If we are not getting nice messages in songs like "Never Say Never" and "A Duo," we're getting beautiful tunes and lyrics, like in "Somewhere Out There" OH! MY! GOBSTOPPERS! Oh yeah!!! Right in the tenders!!! Ha ha!!! Wonderful! Incredible!!! Beautiful Singink!!! Wonderful!!! HA HA HA!!! It certainly deserves the two Grammies.I would give this movie 100/10!
