Don't bother

Cliched, plot holes and poorly written. Only one man can save the world. A chemistry teacher who is ex special forces but needs his wife to point out the solution. Special forces! More like special needs.

PC Destruction of a great tale
14 November 2020
I love the works of Dickens and this story is a particular favourite. I like to get lost in a good film or book. The PC casting of this film destroys any chance of that. Dev Patel is a great actor and there are many great Indian actors who could have played his mother why use a caucasian blonde? Benedict Wong as Mr Wickfield is brilliant as ever but Rosalind Eleazar, though brilliant in the role, is not believable as his daughter. Woke audiences will pretend to love this but only through fear of appearing unwoke.

Warning: Spoilers
Excellent performances from a strong cast. Great film but life is not Disney so not all endings are happy
