Excelent!
28 November 2019
Probably my favourite movie of all times. I remember I watched this for the first time with my grandfather when I was a kid, so everytime I think of this movie it leaves me with a bittersweet and slightly nostalgic memory. I won't tell you anything about the plot and such; the only thing you need to know before watching this movie is that is heart-warming, funny, and definitely worth your time.

Taking Lives (2004)
2/10
Predictable, boring.

It's not that this is a bad movie, but it's kind of meh. It had potential, considering it has two great actors like Angelina and Ethan, but it was all wasted. The actors do a pretty good job and the characters aren't even that bad, but the plot is just so predictable I could tell how this movie was going to end after watching the first 15 minutes of it. If you are not familiar with thrillers movies, watch it, there's even a tiny little possibility that ending might surprise you.

Wish Upon (2017)

Worth watching
16 October 2019
Despite what everyone on the internet said about this movie, I watched it, and I'm glad I did. It's interesting, the idea behind the plot is a really good one, it resembles the monkey's paw story. It's a good movie, and if you are into the Final Destination saga you will sure like this; the death scenes are just as gory and awful as the ones you see in those movies. Plus, the main actress did a great job portraying her role. It's not the movie of the year, it gets cheesy during some scenes, but it's fine and worth a watch, maybe a re-watch even.

The Roommate (I) (2011)
5/10
Cool concept, but it ends there
15 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The idea behind the movie has been done a thousand times, most recently in the "You" Netflix series, and it's one of those plots that I really like for some reason. However, I'm not sure whether I liked it here or not. The Roomate is an interesting movie, sure, but it's not one of those movies where it's so good you just can't take your eyes off the screen for a second because of how invested you are in it. The acting is fine, it's not fantastic but it's aceptable; the movie starts out of nowhere, with no introduction, no background no anything, and that really buged me for some reason. All we know about the main character, Sara, is that she is studying something fashion related, had an older sister who passed away, and has a douchy ex boyfriend. The same thing happened with Rebecca, all we know about her is that she comes from a wealthy family, and has a mental illness (and, by the way, that portrayal of people with mental illnesses can be offensive for some people and it's really cliche). The movie starts kind of slow, hits the 60 minute mark STILL going kind of slow, and it peeks in the last 15 minutes or so. Oh and also, the soundtrack was awful, like the music was taken right out of those stock sounds pages or something. Now, I did like some things. Like, for example, I liked that it wasn't gory; it showed you the horrible things Rebecca was doing, but it didn't outright show you, if you get me. It showed you just enough that you couldn't not understand what was happening and could be shocked by her level of crazyness, but not enough to gross you out. Nina Dobrev was in it for like, 5 minutes? Which was okay, and I liked that her character kind of looks like the main character, because it makes you wonder wheter there's a patron there and if there were other girls before Maria; I think that point could have been exploited more, it deserved some explanation and more screentime than it got.

Was it a good movie? Meh. Would I recommend it? Not really, unless you are into the whole stalker plot idea like me or you've run out of things to watch.

I Am Mother (2019)
9/10
Worth the watch
10 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this movie's trailer this afternoon, and now that I've finished watching it, I can say that it did not dissappoint. First of all, it is gourgeous looking. The droids? They all look extremely cool and well made. Second, it has a couple of plot twits that you don't see coming, like for example, the Daughter finding the ashes of the previous child. Third, you spend most of the movie debating who's side you are on. Is Mother good, or bad? If she is good, why does she lie to Daughter and keep her in the dark about several things? If she is bad, then why did she allow the outsider to live and took care of Daughter with so much passion? I think it's awesome how in the end, it turns out that Mother wasn't either good or bad, just in a morally grey area. Also, to me the ending follows the same pattern the movie "Cat People" followed, which is to not show too much and leave clues for the viewer to put together. The ending made itself crystal clear to me the second Mother asked the outsider about her mother, pretty much stating that she was the first child she had raised. To put it shortly, this a great movie with great visuals, performances and good writing. Totally a must-see.

Psycho (1960)
8/10
Great Movie
5 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I don't like black and white movies, trust me. Because of this, I thought that Psycho would be absolutely awful, but man I was so wrong. It was great, awesome. The ending was, at least to me, terribly shocking. Great plot twist. I also did not expect Marion to die so quickly! The shower scene was also great, very well organized, the shoots were amazing, with all the close ups and all. The acting was fantastic, Norman's character was very on point. Hitchcock did a really good job directing this movie. This was actually the first Hitchcok movie I've ever seen, and it definitely left me craving for more.

Anyway, it may not look like a really good movie at first sight, but it is. So, yeah, everyone should watch it!
