Offerings (1989)
really bad
I totally agree with the main commentary about this film.
The characters in this film are so stupid, you wonder how they can tie their own shoes or open a door.
Not a spoiler: I can give an example-bad things start to happen at one of the character's house.
It keeps getting worse and the cops do arrive. Do they say 'Go someplace safe" or 'Get away from the house."
NO! They tell them to stay put. Do the characters run to another place? NO!
This is a slasher film that should be put in the 'very bargain bin'(as in .1 cent bin)
You know the killer is after revenge. Yet, you wonder if the killer gets they already have revenge knowing they have more brain cells than anyone else in town.
The acting is bad and the storyline seemed to have been invented by someone sort of watching a slasher film one night before a deadline of some sort.
AVOID-I can't say this enough.
That said-it does have material to make fun of for about 15 minutes.(it just gets to pathetic to continue)
Dying: Last Seconds of Life, Part II (1988)
parody of Faces of Death
I saw this film years ago and enjoyed it. If you are a fan of horror films from the 70's, it is a visual trivia game.
They show clips of films like 'Bloodsucking Freaks and other films and pretend they are real.
During one scene of 'Bloodsucking Freaks' the narrator goes "um Yummy."
I do not believe it was meant to be seen as a serious film. It is almost as if the makers started out making one type of film then just decided for parody.
Yes, there are real bits of footage but for the most part-there are just scene from films.
If anyone is upset about this, they are watching the wrong film. They should try for such films as 'Traces of Death','Traces of Death' or other films.
