The Wheel of Time (2021– )
10/10
Don't listen to haters, it's riveting!

I know there's a backlash, but this time it's truly unwarranted. Just because there are a few changes (there was more in the Lord of the Rings movies) doesn't make this bad or hurt the story. It's beautiful and the actors are great! Only a minor gripd I have is the cgi trollocs are a bit noodly, but considering the budget and how everything else looks fantasic, it nothing to bitch about.

It had potential but was kinda meh

Warning: Spoilers
I have no problem with the diversity. But there are major plot hole issues and poor acting. Floki Merlin did not jibe well with me either. I don't see Merlin as a drunk. Another thing that really bothered me was all the cleaness. Everyone looked like they had just bought their costume and had it dry cleaned, and for some reason, everyone's hair is perfectly styled and neat, even the little thief boy. The part where Arthur magically shows up with the witch girl when she's fleeing in the forest was weird and needed some explanation. How did he get there so fast on a horse and nobody saw him?

Ignore the smear campaign against this show!
19 July 2020
Cursed is a fresh, new fantasy story, well written with great actors and great production. At first I was put off by the negative reviews, then it became clear it was due to diversity in the show which is the dumbest reason ever when the show is truly well made and action packed, full of suspense and interesting characters. It's technically an 8 in my book, but I gave an extra point to counter the bs 1 star reviews by those discriminating over racial diversity and strong female characters. It's very good and I recommend it!

Equal to Empire Strikes Back! Now I have two favorite Star Wars movies! 10/10!!
25 December 2019
People criticizing this movie need to remember what we got in the other two trilogies and how they were written pretty much the same way and had just as many, some even more flaws and clunky plotting, even Empire. That's where we got lines in the OT like "A certain point of view" because the idea to make Vader Luke's father was shoed in during the filming of Empire, just like the decision to kill Obi-wan was shoed into A New Hope by Lucas's wife during filming. Lucas had story treatments but a lot was rewritten after filming began. There were a lot of plot holes and just as much fan service in the past movies, especially Rogue One, and people forgave it. They need to realize Star Wars is a Space Opera not hard science fiction. The ships make noise in space, I mean, it's not supposed to be hard science fiction. It's fantasy! The force is magic and jedi are wizards. Nobody complains much about Gandalf coming back to life out of nowhere! At least they don't bash Lord of the Rings as hard as Star Wars. Lighten up! Open your heart to this movie! Rey is not a MAry Sue in it! She ails many times in it! Palpatine being back is the best thing they could've done in context of the Skywalker saga. It wouldn't have been so emotionally compelling if it had been an unknown villain who didn't have a connection with Ben Solo and who wasn't known as so powerful. This is the only way it works! I love it!! I turned in my Fandom Menace card after this movie! It's great to love Star Wars again like I did when I was 8 after Empire!!!

I don't understand why so many low reviews
9 September 2018
I read the story before I saw the movie and although there were some changes to the script that I thought were not improvements, I was still surprised to see the film was enjoyable and was a great psychological exploration of what a woman in that horrible dilemma might go through. The story is not about the horrors of serial killers or the supernatural horrors one might expect from King but its about the emotional horror of choosing to live with a secret of unimaginable bearing. I think that the reason many people think this is boring is because that idea went right over their heads. Watch the film amd read the story. Both are great!
