How I Met Your Father (2022)
somewhat enjoyable
The show started off slow and somewhat boring for a sitcom, but the second season was better than the first one. There were some funny and memorable episodes, and the actors actually felt like a group of friends (unlike in season 1, where the chemistry was non-existent).
I think the actors are okay, but Val (Francia Raisa) definitely stood out the most for me this season. Her character seemed more genuine and her storyline is actually more interesting than Sophie's (Hilary Duff). The laughing track is pretty annoying, to be honest and i think shows these days should just not use it.
The ending of the 2nd season was pretty good, I'm genuinely hoping for a 3rd one.
Wir sind die Welle (2019)
not as bad as the other reviews
They don't really give you in depth explanations about why the teens are protesting - they also lack vision as they just somehow "randomly" choose their next target BUT i don't think it's all that bad! The tension is there, the characters are pretty enjoyable, and you get the gist of the movement. If you're looking for a more political-themed series, this is not for you. But if you're in for some teen-political-drama sort of thing, this is for you. It's only 6 episodes and around 50 mins each. Definitely think it was worth my time!
Kotaro Lives Alone (2021)
heartwarming
The story revolves around kotaro who lives alone in an apartment complex. The adults around him started to show interest and are eager to find out why a 5 year old lives by himself. Each episode is full of life lessons. Finished the series in one sitting because it only has 10 episodes and 20 mins each. Wishing there'll be a season 2!
Cheong-nyeon-gyeong-chal (2017)
Better than expected.
I thought the crime chosen for this movie was too dark, but they somehow managed to lighten it with a few heartfelt moments and appropriate comedy. The two leads were awesome in portraying the two characters and the chemistry was amazing. Only started watching because of Park Seo-joon but was entertained throughout the whole movie. A must see for those who are looking for a balanced action-comedy movie.
Love Wedding Repeat (2020)
pretty funny
I thought this was gonna be a miss, but i pretty enjoyed it. it's not going to be a memorable rom-com, but it has its funny moments. i think the leads were pretty bland but the ensemble was pretty enjoyable. it wouldn't hurt to give this movie a chance, especially if you're looking for something light.
PS: olivia munn is so pretty in this i can't
Seulgiroun Euisasaenghal (2020)
Light & Fun
I love how this series doesn't exactly have like a 'main conflict'. the storyline revolves around the everyday life of the main cast and i love how it just flows. it is also heartwarming and funny. the chemistry between the main cast is also amazing. i think this series is for those who are looking for light and fun dramas, without too many cliches or conflicts.
La casa de papel (2017)
Amazing
This show is amazing. didn't think it was possible for a series to be as intense and as touching as this one. there are so many unexpected plot twists and each episode always brings the viewers to the edge of their seats.
Up in the Air (2009)
Not What I Expected
At first I thought this was gonna be a movie which glorifies 'alone' lifestyles and all those elite status. I mean, I wasn't wrong. but midway it sort of changed into a rom-com which i don't quite understand? and ends with a pretty sad ending.
overall, performances both by clooney and kendrick were nice. some pretty funny lines here and there. a lot of airplane shots and product placements.
this movie is probably for you if you're looking for a light movie with moderate twists. also if you really enjoy airport scenes and george clooney.
Isi & Ossi (2020)
surprisingly good????
This movie was surprisingly entertaining. it's light and charming and the leads were adorable!!! definitely watch this if you're feeling bored and in need of some cliche romcom
PS: definitely better than 'to all the boys 2'
82 nyeonsaeng Kim Ji-yeong (2019)
An optimistic yet realistic story
The movie was beautiful. although it was a bit slow-paced, there were a lot of touching moments. throughout the movie you'll find yourself rooting for kim ji-young as she struggles to find herself in the midst of criticisms from her mother in-law. the movie was hopeful, but also had a realistic ending. as a woman myself, i felt very inspired after watching this.
Eksiteu (2019)
Funny
I thought it was funny, heartwarming, and intense at the same time. i am amazed at how amazing this movie is. definitely worth to be seen at the movies!
Someone Great (2019)
I loved it
I loved it! I enjoyed the movie. the dialogs were funny, the chemistry between the three best friends were great. The flashbacks made me cry. If you're looking for an upbeat movie that's also very heartwarming, this is the one.
