Someone forgot the plot matters. No single interesting characters. The scenes are not really connected to each other. It looks beautiful but that's about it.

Technically this is a bad movie. Stupid plot. Horrible music and montage. Technically. In practice this is gold. They just mock the whole convention and get amazing actors to pretend they act like crap.

Must see for anyone who speaks polish. If you don't - avoid. You will not get any positive experience.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)

That was unexpected but I had so much fun watching this.

A simple story, that has nothing to do with being realistic. Very funny and touching. The greatest thing about this movie is that it shows Icelandic folks as a kind of rednecks and it does it in a way that you absolutely love them.

This by itself makes this movie worthy! I really want to visit Iceland now!

Sexify (2021– )

It touches an important topic but...

... that's about it. It doesn't make you think about anything. It doesn't present the topic in any interesting way.

It's another show that tries to touch something important and hopes it's enough to be good. It's not.

Sex education was a great example of the show that can sell you a serious subject in a great way. It was visually beautiful, it was funny, it was sad, it made you think about other people and their problems.

Sexify just...happens. Not a very interesting story. Highly irritating music theme that attacks you all the time. Very unbelievable characters (they are just too much of what they are meant to be). I couldn't make it to the last episode. I believe I had enough around the 5th.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

Did not expect much... did not get disappointed.

I read the reviews, I heard the rumors. Everyone claimed this film was bad. I hated the previous two movies but decided to give this one a chance - simply out of my endless love for X-Men. You know what? It was not that bad. Yes the plot was shallow. The story was rushed and the acting was... well. Far from perfect. Jennifer Lawrence is clearly tired and clearly wanted to be killed. Despite all that the movie was actually watchable. And I did not suffer. To be honest I liked it far more than the last Avengers. Unlike the MCU movie Dark Phoenix did not try to be everything at the same time. Tragedy, drama, comic, action, family, god knows what else. This movie tells a simple story with quite a few plot holes but it does just this one thing. Yes the story is flat and some things could be completely removed, but this is a simple action movie. Nice special effects, great Magneto. X-men! Far from perfect but also far from horrible.

I loved this movie. If you however expect another walle like cartoon. It's not for you. It's more about story telling and bringing 60s feel. Special guest star Johnny Quest :)

Ready Player One (2018)

I took my girlfriend to the cinema. I didn't tell her what the movie was. Only mentioned that it's a Spielberg movie. For the first 10 minutes I was scared she would kill me but then realised she was absolutely delighted. The movie has a very simple silly plot that I loved in 80s and 90s and remind me of what the movies used to be. Despite being silly it delivers tons of fun and "oh my god look at this" moments. These days most movies focus on serious issues and shows superheroes as people who have feelings. Ready Player One lets you forget all that crap and plunge into old good new adventure cinema where sky is the limit and you do not care about everyday problems. Go and see. And definitely try 3D. I watched it in 2d and I will go again just to see the 3rd dimension. It's the best entertainment movie I have see in last 10 or more years. Thank you Steven for being you from 90s again!

The Shape of Water (2017)

Absolutely avoid.

It does not happen often that I can say "I watched this movie and I enjoyed absolutely nothing about it". The story is boring, the characters quite generic, the plot is bizarre. The director didn't even bother to get Russian speaking actors to play the Russians. I understood nothing from the Russian dialogues. Well... barely nothing. There was one (yes ONE) sentence that was actually pronounced in something resembling Russian.

This is a one boring repetitive movie with nothing original about it. It is truly shocking that it won an Oscar.
