The Last of Us: Endure and Survive (2023)
Masterpiece
I know nothing of the game but the series is great. This episode was powerful in every way. You have a hood/bad guy, you have a powerful woman out for revenge, you have incredibly tense scenes.
I encourage everyone to watch the closing credits and take in the song "fuel to fire" by Agnes Obel. It's a deeply emotional song as is the video for it but it captures humanity and how fragile everything in this world can be.
I hope the series continues to excite and test our emotions because that's why we watch. Not for perfect Hollywood endings but to feel emotions and this episode really did that.
Dicktown (2020)
Hilarious
Shows like family guy and solar opposites have made us immune to shock humor and it's hard to follow that. This show is different. It's not shock humor but it's hilarious. The mumble rapper episode was by far one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The fact that they work for teens makes it better as the teen characters like tucker are great. It's not for everyone but it's definitely worth the watch. They have had great guest stars in their episodes so I hope this show keeps making episodes. The episodes are 12 minutes long so there's a lot packed into that time. As lil blurb might say: pop a xany, haters get wetted by my 9.
The Old Man (2022)
Was good until....
I loved this show until amy brenneman's character appeared. There's no reason for her to be in this show. She's annoying and made the show unwatchable. It had so much potential and interesting story but I could not go on. Save yourself the agony of loving a show then getting punched in the face by a horrible character. Jeff bridges and John lithgow are great. Again, tons of potential but impossible to watch. If I hear that she gets killed out I can revisit the show but her character was literally the worst character I've seen in a movie/show in a long time. I thought my wife liked the show so I kept quiet then before an episode she said she didn't like it and I was very happy to hear that. Waste of time.
Butter's Final Meal (2022)
Awesome
My friend wrote the book. It's phenomenal. It's an important subject for teens to watch and read on as bullying is getting worse and worse. I urge you to read the other books Erin has written as each book is captivating. Dead Ends is great. Online bullying has ruined so many young Children's lives. This movie is great.
The Boss Baby: Family Business (2021)
What are people talking about
I hate reviews from people trying to be the next roger ebert so I'm not sure exactly why people are bashing this movie. I took my family not expecting much but to our surprise it was funny from start to finish. I guess people think they deserve some masterpiece or maybe they don't have a sense of humor but people icing this anything below a 7 should really ask themselves if they feel they can write a movie. People are so entitled it's horrible. So take your family. It is funny and overall a great movie. Haters will always hate most likely because they are virgins.
American Dad!: Criss-Cross Applesauce: The Ballad of Billy Jesusworth (2016)
Brilliant
Both stories in this episode are great. Steve can really sing and then basically Stan and roger doing a white men can't jump parody. Top 10 episode ever.
Fargo: Storia Americana (2020)
What are people thinking
So many hateful reviews from people who probably have never done anything with their lives. Plain and simple, you don't like it, don't watch it. This season was my second favorite with season 1 being the best. The comedy and action and drama are all on display this season. I liked it but to each their own I guess.
Family Guy: The Movement (2020)
Don't listen to the negative people
If you were offended by this then you are not familiar with Family Guy. This is what they do and it was hilarious. If you don't have a sense of humor then maybe stay away from family guy
Ford v Ferrari (2019)
Sometimes they don't get out of the car
Took my wife, my 16 year old and 9 year old to this movie and it was fantastic. This could have been a boring movie very easily but Bale and Damon were great together.
Bisbee '17 (2018)
Amazing
This is not a traditional documentary but it's done so uniquely. Bisbee is a great town that I have been to countless amount of times. You can see the conflicts the locals have regarding their stance on the deportations and the story is told from all sides. Even if you have never heard of bisbee, this movie is still a must watch.
