Needed editing - way too slow
12 June 2017
This would have been a good movie if it had some editing. It was way too long. The length was almost 2 1/2 hours. It had a lot of slow parts that were not necessary to the plot. It was boring and slow off and on. Comic book movies should not be over 2 hours. If it would have been a 90 minute movie it would have been great.

The effects were good. Gal and Chris were very good. Not something I would watch again.

The Mummy (2017)

Great action
12 June 2017
I don't understand all of the bad reviews for The Mummy. It has great action and great effects. It's fast moving and not slow. Tom did a great acting job, as always. It was so much better than the Brendan Fraser 1999 version by a long shot.

I saw Wonder Woman the next day and liked the Mummy a lot more.

Heart felt movie
3 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This was a great heart felt movie. It was sad at some points but overall very good. It was well acted and had a good story. There were lots of funny parts that make you wonder if that is what your dog is really thinking. I have 3 dogs and I often wonder what they are thinking.

Ignore all of the negative news stories about it. There were several dog groups present during filming. All of the dogs were treated great. This movie was filmed 18 months before it was released but the negative press came out the week of release. If there were really problems, why wait 18 months to bring them up? This was someone's way of sabotaging the movie with media nonsense.

See the movie and keep an open mind. You will be glad you did.

It's too bad that dogs who have bad lives, like the one who was chained up outside in the snow most of his life, really can't come back and have good lives.

I wish they would have put a message at the end about if you get a dog then you need to treat it like family and be responsible for it. You are committed to take care of it until the end of the dog's life or your life.

Every year in this country millions of dogs and cats are put to death due to overcrowding at shelters. Some of them only have a few days to get adopted before they are killed. This is unfair to them because they have done nothing wrong, just like the first dog in the movie.

We allow rapists and murders to live in prison for years but these poor animals only get a few weeks. I makes no sense.

The message of this movie should be to teach children and adults that puppies and kittens grow up. They are a big responsibility so know the responsibility before getting one. They will reward you with their love and make your life better.

Non stop action
29 August 2016
The action was non-stop so that part of the movie was great. Good effects. Jason did a good job, as always. Now there is Jessica Alba. She is a pretty girl who looks good in a bathing suit but is also one of the worst actresses out there.

Jessica complained that her role made her look too dumb so they changed her back story to say that she was former Special Ops to make her seem smarter. Not only was this a slap in the face to every female Special Ops soldier out there, but she still came off as dumb. I have seen junior high school plays with better acting.

She has to show emotion and cry at one point and it was laughable how bad she was. She should stick to running her company and raising her children. Save the acting for a real actress. Emily Blunt would have been an awesome choice in this role.
