Salinui chueok (2003)
Fantastic film
This film contains the best drop kicks I have ever seen in film, I'm not joking when I say the drop kicks are fantastic, this film is a must watch just for the drop kicks alone.
Better Call Saul (2015)
Greatest prequel and spin off of all time
This is a fantastic show that manages to juggle being a spin off and prequel to one of the most critically and commercially successful shows of all time while also telling an authentic story about about a down on his luck lawyer. It's incredible how they take a one dimensional comic relief character from bb and flesh him out in such a complex and emotional engaging character, it's rare to say that I like every single character in this show, even the antagonists are likeable. The writing and cinematography are fantastic I think especially the cinematography may be better than breaking bad, the show feels like all the creative team were given all the creative freedom which is understandable after the success of breaking bad. The acting is superb, standouts are Chuck, Kim, lalo, jimmy and mike. Anyway this is up there as one of the greatest tv shows of all time, it's funny, tense, tragic and beautiful.
Better Call Saul: Waterworks (2022)
A great episode
I enjoyed almost everything about this episode except one scene that was really only there for fan service, last week's episode did fan service well by actually having a reason for the fan service but in this episode it felt like they had a great scene and then decided to shove Aaron Paul into it for no other reason than it's Aaron Paul and it's not even like there's any insight into Kim we understand from the rest of the scene that Kim doesn't know jimmy or Saul anymore, and there isn't anything new about jesse, so why was it necessary to extend the scene just to shove in some fan service, but it's just a nit pick, everything else was great rhea seahorn Is fantastic in all the scenes and bob odenkirk continues to surprise at how well he can act.
Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad (2022)
Great episode
This episode continues genes storyline and pairs this with the start of Saul's journey in breaking bad, we get scenes in the bb timeline and in some way I will say it is mostly fan service but the way they did it was not overboard or taking away from what is happening in real time. The scenes in the bb timeline show parallels between what gene is doing now and what Saul did in bb, kinda showing how history is repeating itself with jimmy making bad decisions and getting himself involved in bad things, they also show how gene is slowly but surely becoming Saul again it's clear that gene is addicted to the game and now he's had a taste, he can't stop. Cinematography is great again and bcs visual storytelling is again top tier.
Better Call Saul: Nippy (2022)
Great episode, start of the end
This episode follows gene after having a long break from seeing him, it's a fun episode and I believe the start of the end, I think from now on we are going to be following gene as it doesn't make sense for us to have any episodes in bb timeline as we have seen all the events and understand why Saul is the way he is, everything In the past has been tied up perfectly, so it only makes sense for us to forward with gene.
Better Call Saul: Fun and Games (2022)
Too much fun
After everything that's happened this season, this episode was really needed, it's a more slow episode after all the chaos of the past two episodes and zones in on the aftermath of everything that happened, and I have to say I'm fairly depressed now, this episode genuinely kicks you while your down and hammers home that there is no happy endings, the acting is incredible in particular Kim and jimmy, they are always great together but this episode was just on another level for them.
Better Call Saul: Black and Blue (2022)
Great episode
It seems some viewers don't actually watch the show because I've seen some people say it's a plot hole that lalo goes to Germany, but in the first episode of the season it shows lalo going to a house and killing someone who looks similar to Lalo (after shaving, hence the line "keep the moustache and soul patch") the whole reason lalo goes there is to assume his identity, so he got a plane to Germany using his passport.
Better Call Saul: Plan and Execution (2022)
I'm in shock
This episode was superb, acting was great especially from Patrick Fabian, Kim and Jimmys scheme is devilish and clever, it felt uncomfortable watching, Howard come to terms with what these characters have done, and the ending was just incredible I don't even know where to begin, I thought jimmy and Kim's actions would have lead to the death of Howard however I didn't expect it to happen in the way it did, it feels like this could be the turning point for Kim and jimmy, whether this is the push Kim needs to turn off bad choice road or whether she has gone to far to turn back, we will have to see. I can not wait for the next episode i do not know what I will do for the next month or so.
Better Call Saul: Carrot and Stick (2022)
Pretty great start to the season
There's no drop in quality, the direction, acting and writing are all at top level, nachos scenes are intense and exhilarating, I really can't wait to see what happens to him. Both plot lines of better call Saul are equally as interesting at this point in time which made every scene really engaging, I honestly have no clue where the stories are going to go but I'm 100% invested.
Midsommar (2019)
Two words.... pube juice
Biggest complaint about the film was that at some points where the film is meant to be building more and more tension they make silly decisions such as putting comedy style scenarios in there, an American having a pee on a religious tree is not something I would think to happen in a horror, it was quite funny honestly. The cinema was laughing at the climax of the filming with the whole pushing the guys bumcheeks, I don't understand how anyone would not find it funny, the man was drugged up and looked like he had no idea was going on. That drew right out of the film and just made me question whether the director actually wanted me to take it seriously
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
It was fine
Everything was fine but nothing was spectacular for me, I found some parts cringeworthy. The plot was predictable, cast did decent, fight scenes were bland. Nothing special but enjoyable
Toy Story 4 (2019)
I've seen this film before
Basically the same plot to toy story one, it felt like the emotional points in the story were forced and stayed for way too long, funnier than other toy story's but it didn't need to be made I nearly fell asleep. However animation as always was fantastic
Black Mirror: Smithereens (2019)
Pretty dumb
The episode did have some interesting some things going like the social media network being able to help more with the investigation and gathering intel. However these things are served as mere comic relief that this police woman was getting shown up by social media executives
The episode was tense and acting was good but after everything was revealed I was honestly shocked. Imagine this, a man drives down an alley who is addicted to smoking, he crashes his car and kills a loved one trying to light a cigarette while driving or tries to grab a Dorito from a packet while driving. Would it be the companies fault, would we say we have a problem with these things because of it.
The ending was alright but we didn't need an hour long episode of this dissatisfying story to show the audience the message it was trying to get across.
