Enterprise: These Are the Voyages... (2005)
Sad ending to a show that deserved better ...
Truly this is the worst series-ending episode that I can ever recall. "Forever Knight's" finale broke my heart, but at least it had some substance. This episode was simply terrible. Perhaps the producers wanted to ensure that they would kill this series once and for all with this episode. Well, they surely did. This show was a disappointment, but did have its moments. Its crew deserved a better send off. I would have preferred for them to be lost forever or assimilated by the Borg instead of being treated like this. It's very sad indeed. I would hope this means that if any other attempts to make a Star Trek series are made that it will have new producers and writers. This effort was truly terrible.
The Bride (1985)
Worth the watch
Frankly, this movie is worth watching if, for no other reason, to see Jennifer Beals' nude scene. Sorry to be a pig here, but it's true.
This is the thing I remember most from an otherwise forgettable film. I've always liked Jennifer Beals. I don't care for "The L Word" much, but she even makes that horrid gay propaganda series worth watching. She's not only beautiful, but she's also an incredible actress. I'm glad she's finally getting her due.
Sting sucks! His acting is sorry and his solo musical performances are boring. He's never been the same since The Police broke up. He needs to stage a reunion, go out on tour, make a lot of money and go retire in an old English castle somewhere.
Brimstone (1998)
Still hopeful after all these years ...
Seeing "Firefly" resurrected into "Serenity," gave me hope that perhaps one day this show will return in some form. "Brimstone" is one of my favorite shows of all time and I watch it on my old DVD tapes as often as I can.
I will never be able to figure out TV executives. This show is truly one of those foul ups that I often cite when talking about the stupid programming moves being made over the years.
I hope someone at some point in time will resurrect this show and finish Zeke Stone's quest. The first step would be making the show available on DVD. I believe it's sales would show that there is indeed a market out there for this outstanding show.
Long live Brimstone!
