Only Murders in the Building (2021– )

warm and fuzzy

A real treat. Easy going setting. Great characters full of warmth and secrets.

A real fan of Steve Martin and this serves up well for him.

Will there end up being a hundred murders/ers in one building. I hope they do string out a few more seasons that's for sure.

2 great seasons deserves 2 seasons more.

Red Rose (2022)

Scooby doo

There was at one point a reference made to scooby doo. And the way this series ended was rather like that. Only instead of the "would have got away with it..." more like jumping up and down shouting "it was me. Me along. Look at me" the group was great. Only Jaya I would say was shoe horned in to solve the puzzle pretty much single handed and what a whizz at IT. Very handy, cough, convenient.

Rochelle was great.

But so often with teen problems. Parents are oblivious and police invisible.

I don't quite no what kind of series it's really trying to be.

I have almost the same headache as Chris Pratt character after 2 episodes.

Reached the last episode and it improved by Zero % from the first episode.

The Hating Game (2021)

Duped into watching another dumb rom com.

Predictable unrealistic unfunny. You can second guess every up coming twist or should I say pointless plot development.

Invincible, dragon prince, kipo, even Hilda was better written.

The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

Loved watching the series and afterwards with all the pieces finally in place you can't help but feel you've been hoodwinked, catfished, oceans 11. There are two things you can do with a flawed story and one is to cut it up into pieces and show it back to the audience in a nonsensical manner.

I was half expecting at the end credits, the movie would play again in reverse, where it all makes sense..It is very bond (Moore) like, which was enjoyable.

How to make a plot thicken. Make the characters dense... it's lazy writing.

Yes people can be private and forgetful or selfish. But having blank episodes, unable to make simple connections or observations... and it's 15...so adult characters, adult audience. Why tgen all the tweedle dumb.

The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)

During the events of cloverfield. Could just as well have been king Kong, godzilla or last week when I queued up for petrol (half hour wait). Something simple happens in space. Seen it all before. Lazy, pointless story.

Good actors. Good effects. That earns 3 stars.

The Queen's Gambit (2020)

Reminded me of rocky IV and the main lead was a Ms Spock, working out what human life was all about.

The 60's setting with pills and Alcohol filling the void for suburban life, that was meant to be the dream life. That was well done. The chess was just a veil over this. Could have just as easily have been scrabble or dominoes.

Very obvious how things would turn out. But a great ending and perfectly wrapped up the whole saga. 3 seasons and a movie. It was all great entertainment.

I can't quite believe how bad this film was. Or how many individual people reviews rate highly this film. I guess there is always divided opinions.

You have a great director. First class actors. Super sets and moving music.

But the film is utter rubbish.

Joe Black comes across as a 10 year old possessing the body of a grown man.

So much staring, stalking and general creepy. But with that face guaranteed to get the billionaress.

A real insight into the white Hart Lane still only comes from the book the glory game by hunter Davies. This TV glossy documentary tells you nothing. It should really be called the mourinho show.

Still 10 out of 10 for me because its all about my beloved spurs
