One of my favourite movies from the 90s. Excellent acting and dark humour.

Powerful and poetic

This is a film that requires patience, but it pays off. Zoe is a troubled girl, one that is very relatable. There is little dialogue, but the performance of Lolita Chammah is excellent and dialogue is not required.

Beautifully filmed with a poetic storyline.

Beautiful, eye-opening!

I didn't even know about the discrimination the Sami people experienced. This was an incredibly well portrayed life of a life that could have easily gone two ways. The amount of courage and resilience we see is inspiring. The scenery is stunning and the soundtrack speaks to the soul. Highly recommend!

A beautiful portrayal of reality

The film was a bit slow to start and get into, but wow, was it ever moving! One of those types of movies that stays with you. I could really empathize with Angelique's situation, and felt her sense of void.

Overall very well done and well worth a watch!

Fascinating!

A unique view inside the makings of a cult. It's incredible that the director was able 25 years of brainwashing. Must watch for anyone even remotely interested in spirituality. There are a lot of con-artists and manipulators out there, so it's always good to be aware of red flags and listen to your intuition.

Moral of the story: At the end of the day all the answers are within. You are your own guru. Never idolize or worship another human being, especially if he calls himself your "master".

Storytelling at it's finest

It was a slow start but this film had me absolutely transfixed. With very little dialogue the depth of human emotion and social commentary that was evoked makes this film one of the best I've seen in a long time.

Watch it! You won't regret it!

A must watch!

This was an excellent documentary that provided an insider's look and a rare opportunity to hear from female Artists, Activists and leaders of the feminist movement of the 70s.

Don't let the bad reviews deter you from watching - they were probably written by angry dudes!

I feel empowered and motivated after watching this film and it's a must watch for any girl and woman today!!
