The Pentaverate (2022)
Utter Garbage
With Mike Myers it would seem the law of diminishing returns holds true.
Wayne's World - Stupid but a witty nostalgic time capsule that can be looked back on fondly.
Austin Powers, full of pop culture of its time, very silly and each film in the series worse than the last.
The Love Guru - Austin Powers brain damaged love child.
The Pentaverate - Utter utter rubbish.
Imagine Spaceballs with no with and 30 years out of date.
There is a joke by the narrator in episode 4 that basically says 'Yes, this is god awful but we know how people watch series on netflix so we know you are likely to see it through to the end now because your past the half way point and you have already invested 2 hours into a 3 hour series.' - I have never seen a piece of media be more self aware

Wrath of Man (2021)
Not a bad film but some poor choices by Guy Richie
A great film, it does dart about timeline wise going back and forth and it's not to clear at times where you are in the timeline.
Jason Statham does a great job playing Jason Statham as normal, fairly good action, fairly poor acting. If you drew angry eyebrows on a house brick you would be half way there.
The one VERY poor choice by Guy Richie is that he can't help put a few of his British mates in the cast, one in particular being the manager of the armoured van business (Eddie Marsan) - he normally play a Londoner (and usually poorly even then) but when this particular actor tries to affect a Philadelphia accent it's borderline comical and it ruins a few scenes.
The Harder They Fall (2021)
A Loooooong Waste of Time....
A very poorly written predictable story, poorly acted and far too long for such an uneventful film with no feel for atmosphere.
Imagine a Tarenteno film with none of the atmosphere, chemistry between characters or comedy and you already know how this film feels to watch.
Slaughterhouse Rulez (2018)
Too Childish For Adults / Too Gory And 'Sweary' For Kids
This film feels like something made for 12 year olds yet has enough swearing and gore that the 15 age rating is warranted.
The character line up is supposed to be filled with lots of 'Typically British' roles ('Splash of tea old chap? Wot Wot' and so on) so when very non-organic Americanisms are dropped into the dialogue they fit in about as well as a Lego brick fits into the sole of your foot.
The story itself is utter garbage with a weird anti-fracking message that just seems bizarre.
This film is a waste of quite a few decent actors in very poorly written roles.
Don't waste your time, watch something else.......
Running with the Devil (2019)
Average film made far worse by one awful character.....
So the movie isn't bad, Nic Cage is actually quite toned down and reserved in comparison to what he is known for.
He and Fishburne's characters are pretty good and the whole 'Honor amongst thieves' trope is used.
The film is basically about people getting their comeuppance BUT for some reason there is a female (I think FBI, the movie is vague as it can be on this) 'agent' who is a terribly unlikeable character who just breaks the law however she pleases, tortures people where she sees fit and has no comeback whatsoever due to some garbage vague revenue plot she has.
The movie would be massively better if we saw the repercussions for the agent in the ending credits reminding us that no-one is above morality.
If you have 90 mins to waste then give it a watch but know that the agent you start to hate 45 mins in just becomes more hateable right to the very end.......
Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)
A waste of talented actors.....
This is basically a modern day thriller similar to such garbage as Insidious just with decent actors thrown into the mix.
The idea of haunted paintings belongs in Ghostbusters 2, not in a serious 2019 thriller with Jake Gyllenhaal as the lead role!
It's 70% pretentious high brow art drama and 30% childish thriller deaths.....
A waste of Netflix subscription fees.
The Punisher (2017)
I LOVE this series
I have always loved The Punisher comics but the film's never did them justice. When the series first came along I was worried it would be as weak as Netflix's other Marvel offerings but it proved me wrong, the series is gritty, and adrenaline pumping while giving a decent back story to the characters. My only minor complaints are the some times slow pace of scenes (there are plenty where you can skip 30 seconds and loose NOTHING while improving on the pace) and secondly how unlikable Midani and Amy are, I would have had no issue if neither of them were even in the story lines. Roll on series 3!
Polar (2019)
A Poor Netflix Money Pit
This film is like a bad kill Bill rip-off, the editing smacks of of someone desperately trying to ape Tarantino. There is plenty of nudity that has been crowbarred in and the 'twist' ending can be seen coming from about 1/3 through the film. Last thing to note is the addition of Matt Lucas does not mesh one bit, it feels as though the character has been scripted around him rather than him try to play the character
