The Inhabitant (2022)
Eh..... No
Bad acting and very silly. I feel bad for Dermot Mulroney for taking this role. Spend your time elsewhere as this was a waste of my time.
The rest of this review is just to fill up space as 600 characters is longer than anyone should spend on watching this movie. There is no need for any more words or comments for this movie. It is so hard to find anymore words to describe this movie other than boring, done before, and wishing it was over. I mean seriously, who has 600 characters to write about this movie. Heade my warning and save yourself. Go do laundry. Do the dishes, clean out your junk drawer... anything but watch this movie.
Smile (2022)
Damn
Damn that was good. I'm glad I didn't listen to some of the reviews. It's been a long time since I was this on edge with a movie. I felt so sorry for the lead character. This movie made us drink so we could relax a little while watching it. I would recommend this movie but only if you have alcohol on hand. We will have dreams tonight I'm sure, if we can sleep. We greatly appreciate this movie for the feelings and emotions it provided us this fine evening. It's been awhile that we took a chance on a movie that paid off and satisfied our expectations. I am being good and not providing any spoiler information, because I would not want it if I were reading this review. Go in blind and enjoy. I am thankfully numbed by the alcohol consumed. And hey, I've met the minimum requirement character limit for my review so all is good. Have a wonderful day.
The Outsider (2020)
Wow!
Wow, just wow. Even though the base subject matter of the primary victims is sensitive and there are some disturbing and violent scenes, we could barely keep ourselves from binge watching this. I don't know how I never heard about this show/mini series before and so glad we found it. Every actor's performance was wonderful. Even though it is apparently directed by several directors, the atmosphere, tension, mood and ambience stays similar if not the same. The background music is so perfect it adds to the tension and plays an important role. I am sorry that it ended and look forward to finding another show that can even come close to this one.
Gunpowder Milkshake (2021)
Tried too hard
It tried too hard and failed. Such a waste of Karen Gillian's talent. I'm all for popcorn movies but we had to turn it off after only a third of the way into it. After they showed that bullets couldn't get through metal pans taped to the back of an office chair, we couldn't watch anymore. So disappointed. I have nothing more to say but now it's saying my review is supposed to have 600 characters but I'm not sure why. I know i have seen shorter reviews. I guess it's to deter one from leaving a review, and i almost didn't but then decided to keep adding words to make it 600. It's getting harder and harder to trust any of the reviews lately.
Encounter (2021)
This is not a bad movie
It's becoming harder and harder to trust the reviews, but usually if you see really highs and really lows in the ratings it's better to take a chance. I can't believe all the undeserved hate reviews this movie received. It's not a bad movie, it's not great but it meant well and I liked it.
There's Someone Inside Your House (2021)
It's a teen slasher movie
It's this generation's Friday the 13th. It's not bad but it's not great. The killer is not a surprise it's one of two people and when you know it's not the person they've been pushing the whole movie, then you know who it is. I liked the characters except for the football players who all looked alike. The movie made me feel glad that I am over those teenage years.
Mr. Corman (2021)
Episode 1 & 9
It is definitely depressing. Episode 1 got me interested. I stuck with it and almost gave up, hoping for it to get better, and make me want to watch it more. But then I became too invested to stop so I forced myself to continue to see it to the end. Then episode 9 left me wanting more. Then episode 10 left me not really caring or looking forward to another season.
Reminiscence (2021)
It doesn't deserve all the hate
This movie doesn't deserve all the low ratings. It was okay, and it kept my interest. I think it tried too hard to be something more, but in the end it was a glorified sci- fi Columbo Who-done-it.
CODA (2021)
Good movie
This is just a really good movie. I enjoyed it very much.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Why all the hate?
This is not a '1" I actually enjoyed it It I think it complements the other movies.
Homeward (2020)
This is not the movie "Onward"
Stop, this is not the movie you think it is. You were looking for the Pixar movie "Onward". Don't feel bad, you're not the only one.
Infinite (2021)
Not as bad as I was led to believe
Not as bad as I was led to believe by the reviews. Implausible, yes. Not the greatest acting, but entertaining non the least. Hope, the possibilities are infinite.
The Djinn (2021)
Careful what you wish for
Do not listen to the negative reviews This is not a 1, nor a 2 or a 3. It was worth the watch. The kid is great in this. It is simple and sad.
Bloody Hell (2020)
It is not a foreign movie with subtitles
I almost turned it off, thinking it was a foreign movie with subtitles- it is not. Just bear through the first 5 minutes or so. *Please don't read the reviews! Go in blind, buckle up and enjoy. Main character reminds me of Bruce Campbell
The Binge (2020)
I tried
I tried. I've been so desperate for a a good, stupid comedy. I watched it through to the end hoping it would get better. But this was dumbest movie. Don't even try, You're better off just watching the trailer.
The Hunt (2020)
Oh hell yeah
Unexpected pleasant surprise. Gory to the max. Buckle up and enjoy the ride, I did.
The Vast of Night (2019)
Anticlimactic
I loved the way it was shot and the detail that was given to all the extras that played the community cast, you really felt like you were there that night. However There is a lot of dialogue, I found somewhat unnecessary. And I found the ending quite anticlimactic.
First Light (2018)
Very cool little B-movie
Unexpected pleasure. The actor who played Sean is very good. A little slow in the beginning, but hang with it.
Broil (2020)
Turn the music down
I've heard of planted good reviews but this is my first encounter of such, don't believe them. The music was way too loud throughout the movie. Really bad acting, except maybe grandpa. Horrible editing. I watched it till the end and regret it. I wish I could have heard what they were saying I would have understood the ending more, but the music was so frickin loud.
Ghosts of War (2020)
It wasn't that bad
Slow build up. I agree with the bad editing in the beginning. But, it wasn't that bad. Ending was unexpected. It was not a waste of time.
My Spy (2020)
Better than expected
I knew what I was in for going in, but it was entertaining and better than expected.
The Invisible Man (2020)
I liked what they did
A new take on an old movie, I liked what they did with this. I enjoyed it.
Better Things (2016)
Season 4
What happened? This season made me want to abandon ship.
Solver (2017)
This time you can believe the bad reviews
Unfortunately this time the bad reviews are true. The acting is really, really bad as well as the editing . I kept hoping it would get better , don't waste your time.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)
A good Ghost story
I almost skipped this movie from the low reviews posted. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, it was a good ghost story. I liked that it was set in the past.
You can't believe all the reviews and must see for yourself.
