21 Grams (2003)
21 grams of garbage
congratulations. i think we have found the single worst presentation in the history of cinema- no, existence.
actually, i cant even say if this movie had potential, the fact that you have no idea whats going on because the movie jumps to a completely different place every minute and a half ruins the experience. i mean come on, you KNOW its bad when you find yourself asking these questions: "is that the same person?" "wait i thought that person died" "is this the same day?" "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" (that one especially). Its almost like this movie wants to be like pulp fiction what with the random people being involved in one another's life and the non linear presentation, but fails incomprehensibly. wait, thats an understatement. this movie is more like the aftermath of a nuclear explosion.
its too bad because the movie dealt with some powerful situations. you have a wife who just lost her husband and children in one incident, basically ruining her life. you have a born again Christian who isn't the most decent guy around who accidentally kills said husband and children. then you have a guy who's heart is failing and receives a brand new working heart from said dead husband, and falls in love with his savior's widow. but like i said, any potential this movie had (if it had any) was nuked by the totally randomized presentation. its as if the director closed his eyes, pinned the scenes on the wall, spun around 10 times, and threw darts at the wall determining the scene sequence.
towards the end of the movie, i didn't care anymore what happened to anybody, i could have cared less if a giant meteor struck the earth and destroyed it. and i laughed at the pathetic narration at the end of the movie trying to make sense of the abomination i had just watched. i would have found greater entertainment in staring at a blank wall for 2 hours.
remove this movie from the top 250. immediately
Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time (2003)
kim possible: a sitch in time
first off, I'm a fan of the series, one of the more enjoyable shows on TV in my opinion. i did like this movie, however, it was a little TOO cheesy. and this is a cartoon - on the Disney channel no less. the idea was neat, and the plot was interesting. but some things just irked me. the first major irking was when the 4 villains visit kim in her first day of pre school, and she ends up driving them off. OK, so, a 5 year old sends 3 evil geniuses packing? not working for me. id say the other major problem i had was with the resolution. i was eager to find out how the good guys would win when the odds were heavily stacked against them. and how is it resolved? ron finds out shego was behind his family's relocation, gets mad, picks up drakken who is completely ripped and probably weighs 3 times as much as him, and hurls him into the wall like a frisbee, destroying the lair in the process. uh ... what? everything else in the movie was pretty in sync with the series, especially the humor, i laughed many times in the film. but its almost as if the writers just got lazy and cut corners in the plot, it just doesn't really deliver in that department.
decent movie if you like the series, but otherwise, kind of average
Sideways (2004)
sideways: which is exactly where this movie went
when i heard about this movie, i heard it was about wine, a documentary about wine. this movie is neither a documentary, nor is it about wine. its about 2 guys just living life, they haven't done much in their lives, and they decide to go on a trip for a week to play golf, drink wine, and meet girls.
this movie fails to excite any emotion at all, my face was deadpan for nearly the entire duration of the movie. i kept waiting for something to happen... and nothing ever happened. the dialogue is just PAINFUL to listen to, while i was listening to miles and jack drone on about nothing, i was picturing in my head what i wanted them to say, i almost never do this to a movie; I'm no writter, but the dialogue was just really that bad.
for supposedly being a movie about wine (?) we learn the following things about wine. miles hates merlot, miles likes pint, and if you swirl wine around, the aromas and flavors change. wow, allow me to extend a hand to our master sommelier. and there's nothing wrong with merlot, its a perfectly good wine.
the characters are really one-dimensional, and there is little to no character development. miles started the movie miserable, and ended the movie miserable, his performance was fairly decent though. however jacks performance was mediocre, not to mention his character got real annoying real quick.
in conclusion, why is the movie among the top 250? granted its towards the end, but it does NOT belong here. it should be around the middle in the spectrum of all movies ever made
Kim Possible (2002)
great show
this is one of if not the best animated show on television. id even say its better than a lot of real shows. if this show were made in the 90's i would probably not be saying its one of the best because thats when cartoons were actually good, but i digress. I'm a 19 year old male and i love this show, its like the old Disney movies that were made for people of all ages. the characters (espicially some of the villains) are real charming, the dialogue is sharp, and the animation is certainly above average. another element i like about the show is that it slowly develops as the series progresses. some episodes revolve around a certain character and show why they act the way they do. furthermore, i believe kim possible sets an example that shows don't need to contain swearing, violence, and sex in order to be good
in conclusion this show is just fun and more shows need to be like it, its also the only show worth watching on Disney channel in my opinion
8.5 - 9/10
Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (2005)
annoying
i laughed about twice, groaned about 50 times. this movie is exactly like the latest season of family guy: horrible. it just fails to deliver on every level, the jokes are totally played out and irritating to watch, mostly everyone is out of character, and they just completely abused the randomness that made the show somewhat popular in the first place.
I'm not really sure how to describe it, but i think another user said it best when they said its like 4 bad episodes stringed together. just don't watch it unless you are amused easily and like retarded comedy that makes no sense
