The Mosquito Coast: Least Concern Species (2022)
Hallmark quality.
This episode adds nothing to plot. It doesn't move the story forward. It is full of clichés and tired tropes. I enjoyed Season 1 and was excited for these fresh episodes. This episode is hot garbage. Perhaps it's reflecting events in the source material, but they should have skipped this chapter.
There is virtually no chemistry, no stage craft, no fundamental acting. Not to diminish the millions spent and the actors' commitment and professionalism. I blame the teleplay and the directing.
I feel cheapened for having watched this episode. If I had skipped it I wouldn't be in the dark about any events going into Ep 3.
Revolver (2005)
Completely Whacked Movie
Cinematography is fantastic. The acting is fantastic, and what an all star cast! The Transporter alone is worth the $$ to see it. Unfortunately the plot left me thinking "that can't be the plot, that's too predictable" ... this movie pretends to be about a confidence game but at its core is a psychological study and a running editorial on life in the 21st century. To quote "We all share an addiction to approval". This is not lock, stock, two smoking barrels...think Fight Club meets Oceans 11. This movie simply left me baffled. I feel like it's a ploy to watch it again or rent/buy the DVD. I haven't seen a more confusing movie with no final disclosure in my life. It was worth watching the amazing actors though, but it was like each one of them knew what a turkey this movie is.
